I've had my one (same model, black edition with the hybrid material) for over a year. It has been perfect the entire time. Still basically looks new minus a little fraying on one of the arm rests, and I'm a big guy who sits in it every day.
Hi. How did the leather hold up after a year? Now I choosing between black edition or fabric. I am concern about the leather could crack after using for a few years. Thanks.
@@GuReview Hi, it's holding up perfectly actually, no visible wear or any damage that I can see, I also sit in it all the time as I work from home. But just to clarify the black edition isn't leather, its a hybrid material that is leather like (but better for the purpose of a seat in my opinion).
@@theredrighthand1258 Thanks for a fast reply after heard from you, I think I will go with black edition. What about the breathability? Do you feel hot on the back and butt when you sitting for a long period of time? I live in warm country but I always turn on the AC which sit around 25C at all time.
@@GuReview I live in Australia, but my room is cooled so it sort of counts out weather. I would say its cooler than leather and certainly way less sticky if that makes sense. The only failing I have had with it is the lumbar support slips on the crank, so when I turn the dial now and then the knob slips, but it still works, just takes more turns than it should. Other than that I am very happy. I haved eyed off the Titan Evo 2022 edition, it might even be a better chair just not better enough to justify an upgrade for. Maybe worth your looking at?
I might add that the Black Edition isn't using normal PU-leather, it's actually a Hybrid of Polyuritan (PU-Leather) and Vinyl that got pours in it to make it more breathable while also makes it more resistant to peeling - or so they claim. I wonder how durable it is compared to the real leather one though. Obviously the Napa Leather would be the best but double the price is abit too much for my budget.
4:02 What is that big round thing under the danger sign in the middle of the two levers? What does it do, and can you turn it? Or it’s locked in place?
@@jordanash - Ah ok. I remember a while back i tried the chair out, and i used the left lever to turn it into rocking chair mode, but everytime i leant back, i felt like i was going to drop back. So, you’re saying if i adjust that large knob, i can control the strength of the chair leaning back?
Thanks for a great review! Really helps. I was actually going for the Epic but I really want that extra lumbar support which i get on the Hero since I'm spending 8-9 hours while working from home. Question: I'm approx. 180cm tall and weigh around 75kg...I want to make sure I'm not "too small" for this chair. Any idea?
Thanks for the great vid. Do you think the chair is suitable for medium sized people? I'm around 175cm height, so I am quite unsure whether this chair is a way to big for me.
I don't know if it's too private but how "large" are you on the lower back ? I'm really interested in buying the Hero but i'm scared about the fit with my nearly 45 cm width of lower back. Great video !
Thanks for the reply! I actually just ended up ordering their Legend TX. Gonna see if the fabric is something for me after having used leatherette of another brand. @@jordanash
@@ronald0122I like it overall. The chair itself is firm (good) and comfortable. Easy to sit in various positions and still get back support. Good quality feeling. The tx is comfortable and feels like really soft denim. It seems really thick so I don't think it'll wear down soon. Might get better with time, but the front edge of the seat can sometimes feel like it's pushing the underside of my thighs, but no big deal. The lumbar support can in some settings make the clicking noise others mentioned too. Seems to have calmed down for now though. Overall satisfied, but I'm still in a "breaking in" period to get used to a new chair in general.
The black edition does have different materials than the normal hero. It`s a mix of vinyl and polyuritan. More soft and breathable than PU leather
Nice work on the visuals mate, montages and close ups were cool! 🔥
Thank you dude, I really appreciate that

That's great to hear! I'll share this with the team on Twitter!

I’ve the same chair and my lad has the Epic. Awesome products. Enjoyed the review. 👍🏻
Thanks fella
That thing is almost exactly build like the secretlab titan evo, i guess they do come from the same factory
They could well be

That's to adjust how easy the pivot is when you lean back

Yeah, you can. The backrest is separate, but the base you can control

You're welcome, glad it was helpful!
You'll be fine with it :)

You're welcome! Yes, I think so.
I love my Epic chair but after a couple years it broke and I can't get a response form the company.
Oh that sucks. Try emailing Overclockers UK, they will sort it
What is the actual email address? I'm not familiar with that name.

I'm also 200 cm tall so finding a chair is quite difficult i must admit.
I'm about 32cm across. The edges of the chair (bucket parts) are 42cm wide, but given a back isn't completely flat, you might be okay
Nice video!
I am wondering how tall are you. I'm 187cm and I'm not quite sure if my head can still touch the backrest.
Thanks! I'm 200
@jordanash any 3 year status of how it holds up?
Still banging, a little harder in the padding as I've been using it every day, but you wouldn't know it's three years old
Thanks for the reply!

No problem. The fabric ones are good too by what I've seen, they're better in the colder and warmer months too.
How do you like the tx ? @@Tomapon
