the crazy amount of mistreatments and antis that bahiyyih has is insane... she's literally just 17 yet already facing so much negative things everyday even though she's uproblematic and does nothing wrong. she earned a lot of fans ON HER OWN with her talents, personality, and visuals.

I think people don't realize that gaining fans and keeping them are very different. I did gain interest in Kep1er because I'm MOA and was curious about Kai's sister. However, I stayed because I liked their songs because I liked HER (from the little we've seen). I generally keep more distance when it comes to temporary groups but I will support them.
Same! I heard she would be on the show and then everybody was mad about it so I was like “she must be really untalented for people to be this mad”. I watched her first fancam to investigate and she’s stable vocally and dance wise, supportive to all contestants and so stunning visually! If anything the hate sort of propelled me to see what was happening but I stayed because she really is a talented young lady

There is a sea of people who love her. Not 'everyone' hate her. Most of the people who are buthurt by her are trolls, solo stans of other contestants and members, antis, bullies and a bunch of irrelevant people.

random for me to mention this but. every time i post a comment praising a certain member under a video of them all, hiyyihlights begin attacking me in the replies for not mentioning bahiyyih and for praising a different person. they get so mad at nothing. i never talk hate about her but they are angry. i wish they were kinder people. it’s starting to irritate me a lot. they send me d3ath threats.

as a moa, i did check out kep1er because of hiyyih, but she’s her own person and i wish people would appreciate her more. she’s clearly aware of her shortcomings as an idol and working hard to better herself, all while keeping a smile on her and the members’ face

Let me tell you the hate was so big that me, regular user of twitter who was just slighty into kpop, heard about her and saw some of those mean comments. I wasn’t really into kpop like i’m now but we all can see that the show producers made it worse. Okay you wanted attention and clout but talking about her already famous brother was really not necessary. And she won. It may seem like she won because of being from a family with 2 kpop idols. You know what i mean? But i still don’t justify the amount of hate on her. She seems so sweet, lovely and funny. And she is so beautiful, i know her beauty was/is a big subject on social media too. You haters just bully 17 yo girl who is making her dreams come true. And i'm so amazed by her enduring all of this. I HATE when people say she had “lines” no sis had one single line in WA DA DA “hey” and “yeah” is not a line. The people defending the producers for it and comparing it to Yujin is wild because Yujin at least had a lot of center time. Bahiyyih barely even appeared in the music video until her line 🙄
My heart hurts when I see the hate comments Bahiyyih recieved, she did nothing wrong and she's unproblematic. I hope the haters will stop commenting rude things to Bahiyyih. She is so pretty and unproblematic, Hope she gets better treatment soon.
Regarding the judges "not praising" Hiyih, it's sad that she's not the only one to receive such treatment. Much like her, there's a ton of trainees who did really well be it in dance or vocals yet not much attention was given by the judges... or at least that's how it seem. I want to believe that the judges DID praise her (as I'm pretty sure that they are evaluated as a whole and are then given individual feedback) but MNet CHOSE NOT TO SHOW ANY OF THAT. It's upsetting watching GP999 and even during the recently concluded Queendom 2 and seeing MNet continuously trying to erase her presence. Isn't it weird that some girls were praised by the judges for the sake of positive reinforcement only and this was aired, yet Hiyih who did fairly well did not get any feedback (aired)? I really hope the "behind the scenes" praises she got helped her out a lot. She does not deserve any of the hate she's getting.
I think some of other candidated have said that Hiyyih actually got a lot of praise by the judges, but mnet cut those parts out.

It's quite sad that with the way MNet works, nobody really wins except their own agenda: Hiyyih is forced into the background, the judges are painted to be villains, and the girls that MNet wanted to push forward might get unwanted attention.
I remember an article saying Tiffany was not very happy how most of her evaluations were edited off in the actual episodes and most evaluations focused on Sunmi's. Let's face it, no matter how famous Mnet is for evil editing things into drama,, there will always be idiots who don't understand how MNet and the entertainment system works. And there's a bunch of NEETs who have all the time in the world to make multiple accounts just to discredit Bahiyyih and put redundant hate comments. She was #1 in several countries. That shows how much support she got. Compared to the number of insecure trolls that amplify the number of so called haters with their own multiple accounts. Let those losers dwell on their misery while Hiyyih continues to shine in the limelight.
If they gave Bahiyyih even a little bit more of time, she'd make the group fly. International fans LOVE her, I'm one of them. I'm 100% supporting Kep1er, Bahiyyih is a lovely girl and super talented by all the hardwork she put into. There are siblings in kpop yet she gets hate for “trying to have an advantage”, when there were participants with previous fanbases, well known and years as trainees. She’s the youngest sibling to have idol experience, music is well integrated in her family. Also no surprise that as a girl it’s double the hate. And rarely gets line, screen time, center roles, it’s just sad. Ppl have said multiple times of how nice of a heart she has, not to mention she probs looked up to her brother and was motivated by him only to get the short end of the stick. I’m glad she has ppl who are supporting her and wish ppl won’t find the most minimal things to bully her

And in the ot8 forum, Twitter, and tiktok spaces, she is often the target of slurs for being mixed, especially with J-antis and Western fans who claim to not be racist and love their faves who are Asian. People do legitimately also hate her for being mixed.
(Little story: I was an ARMY when TXT debuted, and Kai also got both hate and got sexualized as a minor for being mixed even before he debuted. It was disgusting)
People really need to stop seeing her as just "Kai's sister" and see/appreciate her as her own unique person with many amazing talents, I really hope she starts getting treated better in the future and gets the praise/attention she deserves! She's my bias. She is so talented. She has worked so hard & she DID deserve the votes! It doesn't make sense why they say she didn't be part of the show - if she didn't deserve to be part of the show -> then neither did girls like Yujin, who had already been in other groups, or girls who had an advantage from being known from other shows. She literally trained herself & got up to & above the level of many of tge other girls. That deserves praise. Her fancams are ALWAYS the most watched. It would only make sense financially to say "oh, look how popular she is, she should be given more lines & screen time & the fans will watch even more & spend even more money!" It doesn't make any sense. She placed SECOND! That deserves attention. She is talented, hard working, always improving, she is energetic, bubbly, optimistic, shes funny, she is upbeat, outgoing, can take criticism without cracking & use it to improve, she is clearly thick skinned, she genuinely truly wants to be there & work hard, and loves being a performer & singer, she is gorgeous - she was gorgeous from the beginning, but after her kpop makeover once joining the group, she is now absolutely stunning. She looks like a model, a barbie doll, a sweet ethereal angel goddess. She deserves to have praise & positive light shed on her & her talents. She deserves to be given lines & to get as much love & support as any other kpop idol.
If she were actually just coasting on her brother's name, she wouldn't have improved, she wouldn't have had a good attitude, she wouldn't work hard. If she thought her name would get her in no matter how she performed, she would have been conceited, she would have expected praise at every turn, she would have ignored any constructive criticism & just kept doing what she was doing. That isn't what happened. She grew, she learned, she tried, she was kind & appreciative, she listened & changed, she had so much positivity & ambition. She is going to make it to the top no matter what. So a company can either do the smart thing & help her shine & showcase it, which would gain their groups & company more world wide popularity, money from her sales & campaigns, etc, new fans, mamy views, & appreciation from the fans that know of her mistreatment, OR they can try & hold her back like they have been doing, make her fight harder & grow stronger, eventually pushing her even further in success, gain the frustration & disdain of her fans & supporters & those who believe in general fair treatment, leading to money & popularity loss, lead to wanna be idols to fear of signing with them due to concern for similar treatment, will miss out on all the success & money that could have been had by supporting her career, & create an enemy of someone whose future successes will outshine the entire company, causing their downfall. Choices. Seems like an easy one to me!
Totally agree, every year in produce there are members like Yujin with unfair advantages and members that end up debuting despite not being trained/ having amazing skills like Kim Sohee, Lai Guanlin and Kang Hyewon. People need to stop acting like Bahiyyih and her having a famous brother is so different from other unfair advantages like being in a big label etc.

The amount of lines doesn't prove anything like talent. Why would they give her a lot more lines if it is obvious that others like Mashiro, Chaehyun and Youngen have a better vocals and Hikaru and Dayeon have better rap. Bahiyyih deserves more lines AND screen time. If her vocals were good from the beginning, just imagine how good they’ll be later on in her career. okay, if i'm being honest, at first i was one of those people who thought bahiyyih was really just getting carried by her brother's fame. and holy crap, i was so, so wrong.
there probably were some voters just voting her because of her brother, but as i watched the show more, i started to realize how unique she was. nobody can deny that she has such an interesting, unique visual. i researched a little further and began to seriously appreciate her talent, especially after learning that she had no formal training before joining the show. she really is a hard worker and gives it her all. her dancing and singing skills have improved so much since the start of the show, and i'm proud of her!
but the mistreatment she gets is not even understandable. i remember watching a video sometime back of her fancam for a performance (it might've been queendom 2 or something, i'm more of a casual listener to kep1er and only know the members because i watched the show, i'm not a stan). for over half of the performance she was literally just STANDING THERE. and you could totally see how uncomfortable she was. it doesn't matter how much hate she gets. she is a part of the group. and as a part of the group, she deserves to be treated as part of the group, especially because she's so unproblematic and cooperative, she has no scandals. even with the hate she gets she keeps smiling and gets through. she needs more lines, screen time, and recognition. i hope she knows that despite the hate, there are many people standing with her and supporting her! i hope this comeback gives her the recognition she deserves.

Hiyyih ended in second place, placing 1st in more than 100 countries, debuting with adlibs instead of real lines, and she still is one of the most supported girls from kep1er. Is this all because of her brother? For what I have read (I'm not into txt), Kai also gets a lot of hate, so how is it that she could get even more praise than her brother because of her brother?
Probably the reason why no one talks about other contestants has to do with how Mnet promoted and portrayed them, how even Reina which was one of the best vocalists in the contest didn't even end in the 3rd round or how caibing was evil-edited until she was eliminated.
Said all of this, Bahiyyih might have gained attention AT FIRST because of her brother, but she conquered her fans' hearts because of who she is: her talents, her personality and how she is capable of shining even without having much.

Bahiyyih is my bias in Kep1er even though I started watching Girls Planet 999 for Yujin as a CLC stan. She works so hard and is so talented and has gotten to where she is because of her genuine passion for music. The reasons people hate her are so stupid and baseless when in reality, she is such a kind person and is always so supportive of her members, as shown in the little screen time she gets. She deserves more recognition in their comeback, otherwise what was the point of MNET allowing her into the group (in spot 2, even) rather than just manipulating votes per usual?

In regards to gp999, we have NO idea what the actual comments for the constants are the judges remarks were super edited. It was even addressed during and after the show. I can’t believe how people treat her. She was one of the most popular and only gets 3 seconds of screen time. She’s very charismatic and she just stands out. Before gp999 when they were doing those funny skits I thought this girl was so funny and cute I can’t wait to see her on the show. Call me crazy, but if it had been the other way around (a very famous female idol having a younger brother who just debuted), people would react differently. I normally like your content and I think everyone has enough problems in this world so no one should hate on someone else. At the same time, I thought this was pretty one-sided. For example, you mentioned that she probably didn't put Kai's Sister on her application (agreed), but given that having a two-syllable surname is relatively uncommon in SK and hers is the same as someone well-known in the same industry, it's unlikely that the producers didn't put two-and-two together especially when contestants probably had to submit a video audition for pre-screening. It isn't spiteful to be unhappy that someone jumped from a position outside of the debut group to second place when their performance wasn't as good as several contestants who consistently showed exemplary skill and ranked high accordingly. (Personally, every temp group I've seen has had at least one member who got there for reasons other than their talent like looks, charm or cuteness--it's one of the reasons I generally don't follow project groups). Chaehyun isn't getting the most lines because she ranked first, but rather her vocal talent reflects what one would expect of a long-time SM trainee (she has about 6 years training in total). It makes sense that someone who had significantly less training would get less lines than someone who's experienced and well-trained. Dismissing people with legitimate frustration may make people who weren't hating on her start and those that were already hating on her may double down. I think your purpose would have been better served by briefly covering why some people were unhappy, that it doesn't justify hate, that the group has debuted so it can't be changed, and then spend most of the video guiding people to focus on how she's improved both over the course of the show and since becoming a part of Kep1er, as well as demonstrating how her personality is good for the team.

Note: She is still seen as a famous sister more than an idol by the company. Her dancing and singing skills are way behind her members due to lack of professional training, which clearly shows in performances. This can be changed if the company give her a little training and teach her basic stuff, however the company is completely ignoring her and she have to work herself to get the level of her teammates. She is getting better each day but that's all thanks to her own work, she needs to do everything on her own and reach level of properly trained/experienced members which is really hard to do
