Did Barrina pay extra for the stache? They know it commands authority and will increase sales 10 fold. I just bought one of these a couple weeks ago and like it, more than the mother lights I spent way too much on. Not sure about quality difference, but the barrina one isn't going to fall over which is great.
I phyisically laughed outloud on this one. I was too much of a loser to get mother lights, do they fall over easy?
@@TechplantChannel On their own they look great, but if you walk past it just slightly it's falling over. Yeah that technically means "I'm knocking it over" but it happens way to easily. I originally bought it because I wanted to built a kind of wood block stand for it to secure it down but then never got around to that. A friend that grows medicinal plants came by and used his light reader to check the strength and was shocked and disappointed at the level of output for the price, not sure how correct that is or how it compares to the barrina lights. But having one of each the Barrina wins so far, it's taller so there's more light, almost twice as tall actually, with a built in stand that won't tip over, a million times better light switch, and the Amazon price is like basically what I pay for an iced brown sugar shaken espresso at starbucks so can't complain. I'm probably going to buy a second one when we get closer to winter.

I just literally ordered today. I really wanted to try a standing grow light that I have seen being promoted by some plant influencers but their product is way out of my budget for lights. And I’m already using Barrina T8 for my plant shelves and likes them. So, I’m happy to find Barrina has this as well for a much reasonable price. And I’m glad that you like it too… it’s kinda reassuring that I didn’t made a mistake in ordering it🤣

I hope they come out with a bunch more stock now that the PlantTubers are reviewing them! Seems like bad timing to run out on Amazon. I’ve been using their strip lights on shelves as well and have been happy, but this one seems quite a bit brighter. And it’s nice to be able to move it around.

I'm planning on putting my syngoniums in hanging baskets. This seems like the perfect light for a hanging basket collection.
I use the 2 ft 24w lights on 3ft Bakers racks and I love them. They are the best lights for the money. As of 10/19/23 Amazon has this tripod light at $70.

I’d been looking at this light for awhile but was concerned about the tripod stand. It was great to hear that it is solid and stable so I just ordered mine.
yeah that has been my concern when seeing them online as well, its nice and wide and the light didnt feel tippy at all
Good review! I've been eyeing this one. Wish it came in white and I'd love the option of a smaller version. I've been using inexpensive but decent looking shop lights, hung with wire at an angle to be like track lighting. I'm super cheap 😂

I got these a few months ago and so far it has been great. I just have to move the light around every now and then so the plants dont lean to one side 😂

I always like the idea of a channel sponsor or paid stuff but i dont like that they start talking contracts and i can never make guaranteed delivery of videos because this is just a side job so i always decline that kind of stuff. Im using it daily for my climbing plants, its one of the few lights that ive kept setup and keep using, if you need to fill some light vertically its worth it imo

I think so too, they seem like nice lights but the price is a little wild to me, plus their base is very small so they can be tipped over easily from what it looks like in the pics. I kick plants over on a weekly basis so id murder that thing

leafy greens and herbs for sure, things like tomatos probably not very well
@@TechplantChannel gotcha. I’m on a test run with a lot of different vegetables right now and got 6 of the 4ft grow lights. Just interested to see just for myself if it works with some of them. Sometimes watching so many different peoples opinions on them can fog my decision. So I’m about to find out myself for once. I have 140 seedlings I just transplanted yesterday including herbs and it’s all ready to go
