If you'd like to know more about LED grow lights for houseplants, you can check out my video on the subject here: th-cam.com/video/ipmX7b8udKk/w-d-xo.html
I was on the fence about these plant lights because they are a little more expensive then some alternatives, but found your video and I am completely sold! What a great video thanks so much!
I love them both. They serve completely different purposes, though. Mother is fantastic for shelves, under countertops, against walls, corners, any tight space where you need to fit a thin light. I have all of the Soltech Lights--Highland, Aspect pendant, and Vita bulb. I love them all. My Hoyas and staghorn ferns and Goeppertias and Begonias grow beautifully under all of them. But you can't install an Aspect pendant light into IKEA Fjälkinge shelves and you can't light those staghorn ferns with the PlantSpectrum32. It just depends on what space and plants you're lighting.
Hey Betsy, is it possible to change the Kelvin amount of the lamps? And is it correct that for timing, I cannot directly control it on the lamp, I would need smart plugs?
Would love to see the PlantSpectrum lights in the Rudsta. I am right on the edge of making a choice about which grow lights to put into my Rudsta, but nervous about the tight fit of the 32.
It won't fit snug in the top due to the way the interior ceiling of the Rudsta is built. So all I've done is stuck the wall mounts into the top and then I attached the light using zip ties through the rack mount sliders. So it sits straight across the Rudsta that way, hanging just a few cm below the top. And there's certainly room to put a second one attached to the underside of a glass shelf with no problem.
The lights are really doing it for your plants 🍃😊. In the Caribbean 🇹🇹 we don't need to use grow lights we have the sun all day long round the year, its never cold.
Bonjour Betsy! I have a question, i bought a Milsbo cabinet, but for now i don't have hole for the light cable, i'm thinking about buying the 32 inch light. Here my question if i put the light on the floor toward the cabinet will it work or not? Merci de ta réponse !
If you mean putting the light on the outside of the cabinet facing in, you would need to put it directly up against the glass, as close to the plants inside as possible. It would work for the nearest plants, I imagine.
@@betsybegonia so i guess it would be best taking the 16 inches and find a way to fix it inside and find a way for the cord without making a hole in the cabinet! Merci beaucoup Betsy pour ta réponse!
It can't stick directly to the top because of the way the ceiling of the Rudsta is designed, but I can put the wall mounts in and hang the light from it with zipties so it sits like, 3 cm below the ceiling of the Rudsta. I don't have any plants in it yet.
Oh trust me, they're constantly out of stock here too. 😂 I had to wait a month to get a RUDSTA, now I am waiting another month until they restock another FJÄLKINGE.
@@betsybegonia Nothing available for almost a year. I ended up buying an IKEA Milsbo from Amazon and paid 2x more then what I would have paid at IKEA,…😏
Hi Betsy, I came to your channel from your rhinoplasty video, which I also recover from. You look amazing, Very beautiful. I wonder if the plants on the wall are real :) loved your channel and content. 👏🏻
It's actually IP65 from what I understand (and it states this on the website in the overview). Since this is the information that was relayed to me from the company directly, I think that the IP20 graphic on the specifications page is an error. I'll bring it to their attention, thank you.
@@betsybegonia ah, found it. But a bit contrary information. 😔 Hope they correct it. I wouldn't need it for my greenhouse, but honest declaration is a must!

Hi Betsy! I really like the look of these lights, and the fact that you can hang them, or stand them upright. Thank you so much for sharing!
I wish they would come out with a white version! It'll be so much easier for me to blend them into my decor. Thank you for the review!
I feel you. It doesn't bother me too much, I only wish the ones in the MILSBO were white.
I was just about to type this!
I feel you with the leg day burn! My legs were so sore after my workout this week I couldn't function properly 😂
Thank you Betsy
Your videos are so well thought out and so useful!! 😻
Just ordered 5x PlantSpectrum 32 through your link. Thanks!
Hope to see an update on your cabinets/shelving soon!
Thank you for watching and for using my code, Lisa. I really hope you like these lights as much as me and my Hoyas do!
How does this grow light compare to your soltech solution lights - looking to buy some grow lights but undecided between the two

That shelf is really fjalkinge nice.

Really enjoyed the follow up on these lights.
Thank you. I am thrilled about filling all my shelves with Hoyas. 😄
@@betsybegonia I bet you are!
Very nice an informative video Betsy! I am already thinking about upgrading to a mother light!
Thanks so much for watching, Fabienne! I'm happy with their performance, I hope you like them if you decide to go for it.

What a life!
How is the color of the mother light compared to the night Soltech light? The Soltech is such a nice tone.
Thank you for your informative videos. The one video about lights where I had to do math was scary though..
😂 I did the math, not you!
TH-cam never showed me this video! I only saw it by looking at your channel. I was very interested to know what grow lights you use!
I upset the algorithm for a while. It's still giving me the cold shoulder. 😂 Thank you for watching, I hope it was helpful.

How big of an area does it cover?
Hi Betsy, I would love to see an update on your RUDSTA please!! Does the Spectrum32 fit inside your RUDSTA ok?

You can fit two lights in the Rudsta easy, I will be getting one more for it after I start filling it with Hoyas.
Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it :)

Yes, all my plants are real. The ones in the background are called staghorn ferns. 😊 Thank you for your kind words.
‘Lisa’ needs to get a memo that she ain’t a shrub.
She's a scrub.
In the description of the plantspectrum lights there is only IP20, so not waterproof at all. 😢
