The way I gasped when I saw the thumbnail - YOU LOOK STUNNING!! Also loved hearing how your process is sort of changing for TFH, I love hearing how our approach can shift from project to project. 💜💜 AHHH I just got to the gift haul omg I feel so loved haha it was an honour to make things for u!! we gotta meet up again!
I honestly wouldn't worry about the category, I love how much youre analysing it but people call literally anything dark academia 😂❤ the book recs you shared were very interesting!
Love to hear more about your writing journey as I try to navigate through my own novel project. I found documenting it here on youtube so helpful to stay motivated. Also the cat content is the best bonus 😻 all the best from Vienna!
OMGGGG this vlog is so aesthetic!!!!!! ARRGHHH why do writers always have the funniest and most aesthetic vlogs?!? (also you are literally so pretty like arghhhh!!!)
I find I get into my WIP when I just go with it. I have a rough outline but if something more interesting grabs me while drafting I go with it abd it always pays off.
While my current words per week is about 3,000 (I'm hoping when my semester ends I can write more) these vids motivate me to write as much as I can. Love your videos, thx for the motivation!
SHIO!! HI, PRECIOUS FLOOF! I love your purrs! 😻 Wow! You’re making amazing progress with TFH! It sounds like such a cool novel! I love fantasy! Also, DARKER BY FOUR sounds amazing! I love contemporary fantasy and I’ve never heard of that one! I will have to check it out! 🥰
I really felt you on the struggle to come up with titles. I'm always jealous of people who come up with really cool titles for their projects, because for me, it feels like something that I just do to get out of the way. Sometimes they land, and many times they don't. I will say, though, that all of the titles that I've heard from you (whether placeholder or not) have been really cool.
Video idea: it would be awesome if you made a video on advice for writing pressure and how to enjoy when you fall out of love with it. I love watching your videos they're so inspiring as a beginning writer.
thank you for watching!! my short advice for how to keep enjoying writing is to always have "fun" projects -- stories that you work on just for yourself and not because you necessarily want to publish them. if you grow out of love with one project, you can always shelve it, move on and/or come back to it later. some other videos i've made related to this topic: writer pep talk for when you're in a slump: th-cam.com/video/FjsWEDqyfho/w-d-xo.htmlsi=paC2NYluAaXpCq_o on self-doubt & attrition: th-cam.com/video/_D7KMGAsaWI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=fIzqbPG6My6afiBS dealing with loneliness as a writer: th-cam.com/video/HmOV6-peJTo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=7UIhr-A6iFxsePOj on shelving manuscripts & when to let go of a story: th-cam.com/video/lJqPV2ThRIo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=XrV6mVW2D3OXiuu-
We missed you Kris! 💕 also, I relate to you with your process.. I started out as a big pantser but always got stuck at 13k words. I’m somewhere in between now. I do a bit of brainstorming before I start, but I also plan as I draft? Apparently it’s been working for me because I’m now at 28k words 😂 it’s very individualistic. Also; please tell us how you feel about ninth house! I’ve been wondering about it
i'm not finished Ninth House yet but i really like it!! a very strong and well conceptualized adult contemporary fantasy with a flawed, compelling main character ✨
I'm sorry but I LOVE when outliners get to discover the joy of discovery writing! As you can tell I'm pretty much a pantser lol, but I'm also a very clean, perfectionistic drafter, imagine the pain lmao, though it's interesting because it translates as me having to rewrite the begininning of each of my books lol, but at least the middle and the end are very enjoyable because I get to experience, to "read", the story as I write and I love every bit of it though sometimes I wish I could outline to save my life LOL

I honestly wouldn't worry about the category, I love how much youre analysing it but people call literally anything dark academia 😂❤ the book recs you shared were very interesting!
LOL i'm just not the biggest fan of how dark academia is used for anything school related 😭
I loved this sm. The typing asmr! The cat shots! Priceless. Also loved hearing about how your process has been with this latest project!

thank you !!!! titles are truly so stressful. I usually wait for one to come to me or i word-cloud ideas until something sticks lol
What a cute kitty!! 🥰
Love these writing vlogs, and I need that keyboard!

it's good to change up the process!! :) i'm still an outliner at heart, i just don't follow/update it as meticulously as i have before
I like the thumbnail

Do you have a P.O. Box by chance?
