Had a guy bring in a forklift tank today that was recertified in 2013, good for 5 more years, got an attitude because I wouldn’t fill it. He must’ve thought it was good for another 12 years but it had the E next to it . Part of being a dispenser is educating your customers in this kind of thing.
Correct. With these bbq tanks when your about 1 year away from recertification? Just exchange it a local Walmart, blue rhino place. ( hint when exchanging your tank pick out a tank with at least ten more years to go!! If not the tank you just got may need to be exchanged again in several years! Pay attention to the date stamped on tank! 18 years experience.
eh ... They can't refill the propane tank if it is past the expiration date. You may want to see if you can exchange it for a new tank just to be safe.
we are going to warren trails this weekend Sunday the 16th. We have a few of us going and another youtuber Graywolfwarrior. I need to find the swimming holes you talked about.. I found the Fish hatchery though. that was awesome....If you still have the king quads.
Exchange places are required by law to take expired tanks they don’t have to be in date to exchange!!! Go try and exchange it somewhere else! They take the expired tanks at all exchange locations and they recertify them and then they put them back for someone else full.
Yes you can exchange a expired tank. It’s just not legal to fill it. If you want to have fun? Go to a local hardware store were a young kid works, take a expired tank down there. He most likely won’t even look at date and he will just fill it. Then afterwards tell him he just broke the law! Be nice. But this will teach him a valuable lesson, and maybe just maybe might save someone’s life by teaching him this!
does the tank expire at the end of the month or the beginning?
I have a 12 ^ 14 and I want to wait until the last minute.
Not really sure. After that date you won't be able to refill it.

So I have not used my propane tank in three years, I used to travel a lot, should I get a new one?
Check to see if it is still good. If it is not expired and if the tank is in good shape, you should be fine.
i know you cant refill a tank older than 12 years but can you exchange it still? or do you just have to buy a new one
You would have to buy a new one. I THINK you can have it inspected and recertified for another couple of years but not 100% sure.

If it expired can you still use it to exchange for a full tank or do u need to just purchase a whole new tank?
You would need to purchase a new tank that is deemed safe to refill.
