- Test footage from the show Garth Marenghi's Darkplace. Extra from the DVD.
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is a British dark comedy show made for Channel 4 by Matthew Holness and Richard Ayoade. Darkplace is presented as a lost classic: a television series produced in the 1980s, though never broadcast at the time. The show parodies numerous aspects of '80s low-budget television, including fashion, special effects, production gaffs, and music.
No copyright infringement intended. All copyright remains under Channel 4. I do not own this show at all. This is the wonderful work of writers and creators Matthew Holness and Richard Ayoade.
Love how Dean's clearly recording his dubs in a completely different room... and obviously not in any kind of studio.
"i just can't believe the temp is dead"
*sounds from hell*
Honestly that part kills me every time 😂
_Temp's dead, baby. ... Temp's dead._
It's alright Rick, we'll get another one
I like how a whipped topping appears then disappears from Lucian's bun. Classic. Even in the test footage they created magic.
I'm wondering whether the director got upset a lot if someone forgot to add the inconsistency. 😄
It's the reflection from the end of his stethoscope . . . and there's no one in the show called 'Lucian' . . besides that, I agree ! : )
It looks like Reid has the same affection for temps as he has for techies... just get another one
same tool in the tool belt.
Classic Dagless: "Well, you'd hope".
Super cool to see, but god damn that audio.
Am I watching a different dimension xD
Nice to see that you're a fellow Darkplace fan Nick!
ER stole from this series!
But they just couldn't ever pull it off. Did they ever get to see ER in Peru?
son of a bitch
Best scene ever created.
This is so cool
Hair's better in this version .More authentically 1980's
thanks for the upload!
That is so disturbing. ROFL!!!
Classic Sanchez.
I haven’t seen this alternative clip. I try to do impressions. Got a bit of a Rick going on. Dean is quite easy. But Matt BeRry’s Todd’s Sanchez. It’s almost like you have to retch to get there: The ‘You and he were buddies…’ and ‘So what happened between you and this Renwick customer’ soliloquies’ are especially difficult technically speaking; ie. in terms of not belching.
Try pronouncing everything like you're doing Shakespeare on stage with no mic. Regardless of the facial expressions you dub it over
Buns?🤭
