Crazy what a good detail can do to a vehicle. It almost looks new again! Hope you guys have a great weekend! Be sure to check out my other channel - The Yard Geek!
In our country, it's a common practice to pay someone to clean your car (a simple rug and random soap) but because of your videos, i started cleaning my car on my own and pay attention to details. It's time consuming but I'd like to think it's a form of exercise. I have also never been this early (6 mins from uploading)
Welcome to the satisfying world of detailing! Once most people get into it, it becomes an obsession but your car and your pride are always the winners.
Yep. Classic soothing shades that will never go out of style. Think old mustangs, Aston Martins or Jaguars. I wish we would see more of this & less grey or white.
Oh ya, my RAV4 2013 has the same kind of green and I just love it. Seems like a not so common color, making it a little bit more unique than the others!
I dont know who else does this but what i do is fall asleep whilst watching this channel and it keeps me nice and calm and sends me to sleep well quicker then watching other stuff on youtube. Love your videos. Thanks
Finally a kid/mom dirty car! This better than abandoning dirty vehicles. Those aren’t the same dirtyness. These hit better. I was getting tired of abandoning vehicles videos/ old cars falling apart.
WOW! What a job! I was a taxi driver Mom when my brats were growing up but my Van ALWAYS stayed clean because the kids knew Momma don't play, plus I would pay any kid that saw another kid throw trash on the floor and they would get a quarter to be a snitch! Believe me they were happy to throw each other under the bus! With kids you have to be consistent and let them know upfront what is expected of them! Their is no excuse for letting a vehicle get that trashed! Great job Mr Mitch, as always! 👍👍👍👍
My parents didn't need to pay us to snitch. If we wanted to snitch, snitch we did with no reward other than seeing the snitched upon get into trouble. But, when it came to the family cars, it was never an issue. We knew the rules and just didn't make a mess. There was always a bag in the car for trash and we knew to use it "or else", and we didn't want the "or else".
Step 0. Find a buddy Step 1. Choose between one of you Step 2 (optional). Have the chosen one litter Step 3. Have the other one snitch Step 4. Get 25¢ Step 5. Repeat step 1 until desired amount Step 6. Split the money evenly Step 7. Profit
100% agree with you about dying the carpet. That is not something I would ever consider as included in a detail service. And as in the example you gave, it's certainly a service you COULD provide for an additional cost, if requested.
Absolutely. It's not his job to retouch lost paint either, which I would consider part of that same category. Detailing is cleaning what is there, not replacing/restoring what isn't! :)
Yer, it's like asking the cleaner to proved a maintenance/gardeners service with no extra pay. ❤ your videos, it's now part of my weekly ritual, "along with my cars weekly clean".
Indeed. Dying carpet is not normally included in a detail service. It certainly COULD be done for an additional fee if the customer requests it, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it SHOULD be done. If a customer asks to have the vehicle’s carpet dyed, then that’s between the customer and the detailer.
HELLO MITCH: That was a very heavily muddy vehicle!!!! Thank you for all of your hard work, bringing it back to looking brand new. Have a great weekend.
The dry cleaning example is a good one. Alterations are an additional service with an additional cost. Detailing the engine bay is an additional service for an additional cost. Hey, you could replace cracked windshields, too. But you don't. But you could. But, but, but
Exactly. It’s like when people comment asking me if I change cabin air filters too…..like what?? You expect me to have hundreds of different air filters for all makes and models on hand? Really? 🤦🏻♂️😂
Mitch, your videos are the best. I really enjoy the Yard Geek vids, too. I don't watch other detailers, so I don't know if they do it, but instead of the before and after shots, can you do a fade in- fade out to show the transformation? Like, a view of the clean then it gets dirty, or vice versa. Thanks for what you do, it's great to watch.
watching you i started cleaning my own cars by myself and it takes 2hrs every sunday to clean the car, but the dopamine hit after doing the cleaning is worth it
Dust and exterior dirt I understand if you drive gravel roads a lot. But the interior… oh my. Well, I guess this is your bread and butter clientele and if it wasn’t this bad they wouldn’t come to see you. The knife was a head scratcher though, I’d want something bigger for defence! Another fine detail and another satisfied viewer. Thank you Mitch!❤

I see every screen that comes in from a vehicle that is damaged from a recent detail. And you know this. The very reason you detail the way you do. Every time we get a touch screen in that’s water damaged the customer is in it for the full cost of a new one. And lesson learned for the customer to find a new detailer. For what isn’t damaged immediately usually results in time from the exposure to cleaning chemicals and moisture. No doubt also the buttons and switches on both the door panels and steering wheels. Along with the blinker stems that operate wiper blades. Electronics and moisture don’t mix. Period. 500 to 1500 for a new touch screen or lcd display is very expensive for TH-cam likes. Especially to the customer. Keep up the great videos.
Hello Mitch! Another outstanding detail this week! A question I’ve had for years is when you detail these vehicles are you using multiple cameras? And do you film the entire process or only segments? Looking forward to seeing your comment and more videos! Amazing work! - Chris
If they treat their vehicle like this their Mitch, just imagine their home on where that they live. Sure places and homes or vehicles can be a bit untidy, but nothing too this kind of extremity. This look amazing! The transformation of Ford Explorer looks 100% clean and perfect as well, I wonder you could detail the Ford Taurus one day, it's a reliable mid size sedan that has been america's best selling vehicle over the decades when it was launched in late 1985 as a 1986 model year along its twin sister model Mercury Sable. The Taurus has been one of my favorite cars in my memories, sadly they don't make them anymore, the Taurus was discontinued in 2019. It was a hero car that saved Ford Motor Company from bankruptcy back in the 80s and overall the Mercury Sable was very much the same as Ford Taurus but until in 2009, Mercury retired the Sable permanently as a slowest selling vehicle in the us market, However I enjoy your video Mitch and have a great weekend.
Hello there Detail Geek. It is always so good to see you. This car looked like a trash dumpster and I can't understand why people let there vehicle look like that. Some people should be ashamed of there selves. But thank goodness for Detail Geek for having the courage to clean these nasty cars. I really admire your hard work and dedication because it is very outstanding. Thank you so very much for everything you do. Enjoy your day and take care
From conversations that I have had with neighbour's and friends, they are under the impression that having a ceramic coat and interior protecter means you don't need to clean your car regularly. I think people associate protective coats with stain and rust resistance as well. Or they just get used to smells and are visually blinkered 😂.
Another great video. As my late father said, "If you want to know how clean someone's house is, look at their front porch and inside their car." If their front porch or car was disgusting, he said, "I will never eat dinner at their house."
I recently purchased your bug remover spray and the wheel and tire cleaner, and they are absolutely amazing!! I was shocked! Even though I see you use them in your videos, seeing the results in real time was something else, haha I was wondering, though, when your APC will be available again? Every time I check, it's sold out 😞 Amazing job as always, Mitch! 😊
I like these videos where an actual family is helped. I’d love to see a series of deserving families being given free detailing to make their lives a little better.
Just detailed our 09 Civic that we are giving to our grandsons. I put a video AFTER on FB. I began detailing cars back when my OCD began with my first car. I give Mitch much thanks for product information and rexh tips.
Nice Job Mitch...I have a Black 2018 Explorer that is Pampered not Abused . I would have liked to see you do a paint correction on the hood just to see what is possible, well maybe next time.
I saw a video that a detail company that makes detailing products that you always soap the car with a foam cannon first then hit it with the pressure washer. They say that pressure washing it like you are doing actually scratches the paint and foaming it first encapsulates the dirt preventing the grains of dirt from forcing its way into the clear coat. Thoughts?
That is embarrassing, who brings in a car looking like that? Some people are just ludicrous! That was a very soothing transformation Mitch, great job. Have a nice weekend! 😃
I think no matter what you say about the carpet shampooing cleaning I think it looked great considering what a big mess it was! Anyway the stain you can throw the carpet mat down nobody will see it! You do a great job on all the cars you detail!!! I’ve learned a lot by watching you!
Can you do a tutorial video on how to use the steamer along with your chemicals, in real time vs. speed? Thinking of getting steamer and definitely don't want to use it incorrectly
This is a type of mess that I never have to deal with in my car since I don't have kids. Also I'm OCD about the car being clean. I do daily drive a older car but the interior is like new or very good since I don't have any bad habits.
In England that’s called a “ full valet” , a detail is what you have done plus 1 or several stages of paint correction/ polishing depending on clients requirements, and cost .
Whoa! The 2013 Ford Explorer looks serious disaster and messes up food. You feel safe using latex gloves. 👏 You amaze flaws and clean the exterior and interior. I loved watching your YardGeek a few times. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend! ❤️ Hi Mitch, I am back! YT. Finally! I am healing and working towards getting back to normal. I continue to fight for my life, but I refuse to ever give up! 🙌
Hey Cynthia, Glad you're feeling better. Now get strong and get more rest. I know the temp by you is over 100 so you need to keep cool and comfortable. Yes, Mitch did a great job with this Ford. So happy you were able to enjoy the video. Take care my friend. 💙
It would really stink living down a gravel road after getting your car detailed. It gets dirty again before you even get home! Lol Love that shade of green, too 💚 Great job once again, Mitch!
Since I am looking this channel I much more often get my car to the car wash and use more often the vacuum cleaner on it. Also we do this with my wifes car. Saw all these dirty cars and was so inspired always to have a clean car now XD. Car was never so messed up like the cars here, but these videos gave me one reason more to take care about our cars. They are like family members...
I personally miss those content in recent videos where you take those finished vehicles outside your garage to get beautiful transformation shots in natural light. I kindly request you to bring those back. Big fan of your content and it is kind of a therapy for me to get to sleep faster. ♥all the way from India
Man I sell Fords now for 9 years. And I gotta say. When I seen this Explorer especially the older body style.. I knew this was going to be awesome. The interior definitely was horrible but you 1000% made it look like a new car again. Good stuff and keep up the videos on the other channels also!
I lived in rural Saskatchewan, with 2 pre-school age kids. My cars NEVER looked like this. Thanks Mitch for helping these poor dear incompetents hit the re-start button
Mitch, I'm hoping that, when it's done, you can have that SUV that was left sitting for 42 years back in to see what happened after the restoration that's going to be done with it. Just so, that way, we can see the TRUE before-and-afters for it.
Hi Mitch, great video as always! I have always wondered, what type of respirator do you use for detailing? Would you ever consider making some sort of detailing safety video? Thanks for all the great content!
Your videos are always fun and satisfying to watch. What i don't understand is why parents don't have their kids clean the car. I'm a GenX'er and we were made to clean up our messes.
Exterior detail is my favorite part of each episode. Being a bit of a neat/clean freak, the interiors sometimes make me shudder. If it was me, it would be full hazemat before I touched anything!
Crazy what a good detail can do to a vehicle. It almost looks new again!

Love that shade of green, too 💚
Great job once again, Mitch!
O pessoal daí gosta de fazer o carro de lixeira, aqui no Brasil ninguém iria entrar num carro desses, ótimo final de semana , um abraço.
Another great turnout awesome work 🔥🤙🏿
wow what a detail !
I personally miss those content in recent videos where you take those finished vehicles outside your garage to get beautiful transformation shots in natural light. I kindly request you to bring those back. Big fan of your content and it is kind of a therapy for me to get to sleep faster. ♥all the way from India
Liking the older music like the older videos! Great detail
Detail Greek Friday what a way to start the day. Love the video you always do a wonderful job.
Another fantastic job!!
Man I sell Fords now for 9 years. And I gotta say. When I seen this Explorer especially the older body style.. I knew this was going to be awesome. The interior definitely was horrible but you 1000% made it look like a new car again. Good stuff and keep up the videos on the other channels also!
There is no reason anyone’s car should get this disgusting.
Kids ruined it
Kids can be nasty as hell
Ours was never like that when our children were young.
Yes there is! It's called PURE LAZINESS
Some people have problems that can cause this kind of thing, you absolutely don't have the right to judge people like that
Is that Explorer Dark green or is it black. Another excellent detail job Mitch.
It's green! It's a little more evident in the thumbnail picture
Looks SOOOOO GOOD😊
I lived in rural Saskatchewan, with 2 pre-school age kids. My cars NEVER looked like this. Thanks Mitch for helping these poor dear incompetents hit the re-start button
theres a cool word in the dictionary called "empathy", you should look it up
@@philiosophi it's not that difficult to clean your car, but these people should be looking for some help if their house looks like that too.
Looks fabulous!
Mitch, I'm hoping that, when it's done, you can have that SUV that was left sitting for 42 years back in to see what happened after the restoration that's going to be done with it. Just so, that way, we can see the TRUE before-and-afters for it.
Wow!!!!!!!! Great job. The car looks like new.
Another great job!
The DETAIL MAGICIAN does it again
Hi Mitch, great video as always! I have always wondered, what type of respirator do you use for detailing? Would you ever consider making some sort of detailing safety video? Thanks for all the great content!
Hi there, omg I couldn't get over the inside of that car especially the maggots, don't know how you clean that but you done a fantastic job ❤
I can watch you clean for hours, no matter how gross the vehicles are 😅
That's the idea, if they were almost clean to start with, it wouldn't be worth watching.
Awesome Job....
5:20 There's a recall on that A Pillar trim currently. My 2016 is headed into the shop for that, when the part shows up...👍🏻
Your videos are always fun and satisfying to watch. What i don't understand is why parents don't have their kids clean the car. I'm a GenX'er and we were made to clean up our messes.
you and there's another group of guys y'all never disappoint with these videos keep up the good work
Hi, Mitch.
You seem to have a stock (royalty-free?) playlist that you use for your videos - do you know what songs the tracks are tributes to?
Exterior detail is my favorite part of each episode. Being a bit of a neat/clean freak, the interiors sometimes make me shudder. If it was me, it would be full hazemat before I touched anything!
