Thank you Dave for this helpful video. My electric lift motor is stuck in up position. I think I can get to it from bottom if I remove the mowing deck. Otherwise you showed me the way from the top. I think I can rotate the actuator shaft and unstick it. I love my XT 3. We have about three acres to mow but I also use it to ride around my property to feed all my livestock and do gardening. At 76 my legs and back aint what they use to be. God Bless sir.
Great video. My grandmother’s mower’s lift system hasn’t been working for years, she’s been having to mow every 3-5 days in the summer because the deck is rigged at a very low setting with vise-grips and clothes pins (she prefers to do the mowing herself bc she knows where all the bumps are). I tried beating the actuator with a hammer and that got it to work or try to work multiple times, as opposed to just a click. I watched your video to see what the linkages and stuff will need and look like in case there’s anything missing or broken as well. The parts diagrams are great but I wanted to see things “in person” as well. Thanks! She told me the mower shop (where I work now, after the fact) told her that they couldn’t find what was wrong with it. I believe they lied but I’ll see if I end up having the same conclusion.
I also have an XT3 Enduro. My motor seems to be stuck and wont engage. It only make the grinding noise when I push the switch button to adjust hight. I might try tapping on the actuator to see what happens. A replacement motor os 1100.00 from Cub Cadet dealer..........ouch

that is great info. I have an XT3 also and have been curious about that mechanism. Did you see if the lift motor itself has any lubrication points?
