We used to have bathroom breaks during class in high school. It really works, we had an hour and a half classes and not having as much interruptions.
You are funny!!! I smile often while watching. Love these ideas. WHY didn’t I think of the carpet spots for desk arrangement? Doing it first thing in the morning. HATE messed up desks.

Oh bummer about the Covid!! Glad you are back at it! Love the sticker idea!! I also cannot handle “shifty” desks! I also have carpet but what I did was attach floor protectors (the kind for tile floors) onto the feet of the desks. Since they have a felt bottom it makes it very difficult fir a desk to move! Sneaky but effective 😉
I incorporated the sticker idea in my classroom this year and my 4th graders are crazy for them. . . a big hit! Thanks for sharing this great idea.
How often do you replenish stickers? It’s a great management tool but would like to calculate if I can afford it first. 🙃
I have used those Velcro spots for a couple of years for the same reason! Last year I bought colored star shaped ones

I’m in 4th grade and we use yellow cards.
Also please give us desk tours of the students desks.
There are always conversations with students who are having a challenge meeting the expectations that we set as a class. Things are never perfect, but we work through it together from a place of empathy!
