Here is a little rhyme to use when teaching the students when to use a comma for numbers: After every three, place a comma for free. Start from the ones place(AFTER---ones place, EVERY--tens place, THREE--hundreds place) and go from there. Enjoy your week.
I love your videos ! I’m curious how you do classroom management. How do handle “ problem “ behaviors ? Is that a video you may consider doing in the future ? Thank you for all you do for your students -they’re lucky to have you 😊
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Cambly sounds like a really interesting option! Loved your idea of a soft start. I work with 5th & 6th graders and they have a really hard time coming in and getting right to business in the morning. I might need to incorporate a soft start into some of our mornings.
I want to be a teacher when I grow up this is not actually Kimberly Thompson this is Kimberly Thompson's son and I want to be a teacher when I grow up and I love watching your videos I think that you are the best teacher vlogger ever keep up with the good work
AHHH! so happy to have seen ur video! It is Term 4 for us in Singapore. 10 weeks till the end of the school year and time for the holidays - CHRISTMASS!! I'm so happy to watch ur videos, you are really cool! I have learnt quite a bit from your videos! OMGOSH! I'm like the FIRST comment here! : ))))The date is written MM/DD/YR in the US. Here in SG it is written DD/MM/YR.
I really like your soft start ideas. My school will start implementing this very soon. A question, do you have to sanitize everything daily? Would that just be a quick spray down with Lysol? The questions that go through a teacher’s mind!
I actually am only using the 'soft start' items on Friday so I am not too concerned with cleaning it all down since an entire week goes by between uses. However, yes. Everything is sanitized a million times a day!!
I have never has a man teacher until this year! (I’m in 4th grade) It’s pretty different to have 2 different gender homeroom teachers but I love watching you while I get my homework done :)
I am a b.com (commerce ) and b.ed graduate . I want to become teacher but confuse to choose either early childhood education or master in education . Can you please suggest me which can be better in my career growth ?
Just wondering, do you have a list of items you use for your soft start? We have a "soft start" of the day as well, where kids come in between 8:30 and 8:45 and I struggle with keeping them entertained while we're waiting for everyone to arrive, without them ending up screaming and running around the classroom (2nd grade) 😅
I kind of use anything I can get my hands on! So long as it is something students can physically engage with and gets them communicating -- works with me!
How credible is Cambly? From your sponsored description, it doesn’t sound very credible to me. The fact that they don’t require any teaching experience, let alone even a degree of their tutors, is concerning. Add on the bit about not even conducting an interview, and you’ve totally lost me. The pricing wasn’t included in your sponsored script, but I looked it up and it costs users $77/month. That’s a good chunk of change for most people to spend on a tutor who potentially is only eligible because their first language happens to be English. Sure, the curriculum is scripted, but scripted curriculum is not always easy to execute well. If you find Cambly to be totally credible and a service you would absolutely recommend to your ELL students / their families, then great! Take the sponsorship and get that coin. However, if that is not the case, I would sincerely hope, as a teaching professional, you wouldn’t promote such a service.
@@jacobcopley1 Sure, as I stated toward the end of my comment, if he would actually recommend the service to his students and families, then there is no problem here. However as an educational professional he has a responsibility to recommend credible resources.
Cambly is great! I see the no degree aspect as an awesome aspect to tutoring for Cambly. If you are someone who is interested in getting your 'feet wet' when it comes to education then it's a really great option. In addition, not everyone has the means nor capacity to get a degree in teaching. Cambly can become a great way to gather some much needed experience for folks. Thanks for the comment and perspective!
So happy that you are able to have a "normal" start for the school year!
Do you have a video talking about what to look forward too for future teachers? I'm 15 and I'm 100% sure I wanna teach
Good luck, Kyle, you are doing a great job. ☀️
MR Kyle Cohen i love your videos you seem very passionate of what you do more teacher should be liked you

Let us guess... to install the sit spots you count that as a part of your "working" day huh?
This is so informative Kyle.

Hi, what do I do after I signed up with Cambly and verified my email? Will they contact me with students or do I just wait? Thank you.
