Thank you for listing this all out, especially the I-wire harnesses. I'm on the verge of flex/FBO myself. Only a few items left to make it all complete.
Love the tips you provide during tear downs and builds. Please wear eye protection when cutting/grinding. And I wouldn't recommend using a cutting disc for grinding (use a flapper wheel). Cutting discs can fly apart if used for grinding because it's happened to me. Stay safe and keep the builds coming!

Hi question I have a stock 04 wrx engine in my ghia swap and all of a sudden I got a knock yesterday from a cold start. I checked the tensioner etc and all seems in good condition, I would like to make around the 500hp your doing here but I’m knocking can you give feedback please. GREAT VID
@@BaderBuiltRacing Can you give an explanation? Also what do you think causes this infamous ring land failure and what do you do for prevention? Thank You
Nice, I was always told that you needed the 84mm inlet for the FP turbo. Good to know the stock size works fine. What’s your thought on keeping the stock fuel lines and rails when only running pump gas and a FP blue? 1050 injectors & AEM pump. Thanks man.
You will get fuel studder with factory lines / rails on intake manifold. You will regret not doing fuel rains and line kit with a aeromotive regulator.
Hey man, does the FIC 2150’s need a pnp harness or connector change on 05 sti. Edit. I see what has happened lol. I got 07+ injectors since i am top feed now. After I ordered I see they have top feed for 04-06. So I’m taking that the 07+ has a different connector. Well looks like I’m getting the adapters.
This block is pretty much identical to an Evo 7 motor down to the same part number for the pistons. The head and accessories attached are where we've found differences over the years
Mmm yes, this car is what I want to turn my 2011 STI into. I also have that same stage 2 motor (almost done with 3k break-in), same clutch, same Koyo radiator, stock turbo, TMIC (upgraded, but still), and am looking at that same FMIC, FP Green or Black, EWG, etc. Too bad the closest E85 or 93 octane fuel is 3 hours away over by Bader (Spokane / Coeur d'Alene), so I'm not going to bother with flex-fuel yet.
What are your recommendation on a turbo inlet on 2010 wrx noticed the other day mine had a tear in it was looking in to the Cobb but they say it don't fit quite right. And you have to remove manifold to install oem one
Seems like this is the most common setup people go with for a 500whp build .. do you think it’s the best bang for the buck ? How much do all these parts cost on avg?

On average a quality 500whp build begins around 13-15k depending on options of parts and then with a built engine the total ends up being around 25k
@@BaderBuiltRacing 13-15k with labor right ? Because all those parts run a total of like 7,500
