I don't have a question but a suggestion for you to ask/tell Goodwill....... I think they should have one person per shift to go thru each section of the store with a rolling cart & pull all the items that are not priced then roll that cart to the back to be priced......(each section should have a cart)....Then when "the wizard behind the curtain" finishes re-pricing these items....that cart can be wheeled back to that certain section to be put back out. I feel that would be a perfect way to do it.... Because I feel the longer that item sits on the shelf not priced has a better chance of getting broken THEN no one makes any money off it... Goodwill in the long run loses money on non-priced items. Thank you Danni!
I have taken stuff to the counter, not for them to price for me, but so they know that something isn’t priced. I have also told an employee as they walked by about something that isn’t priced.
@amymarkey3013 I'm sorry I don't believe they put items out on purpose without a price. I believe they fall off or someone takes them off while they are out on the shelf.
I’m so happy for you and you should be so proud! You’ve worked very hard for your success! You are such a joy to watch and I appreciate all of your videos. Thank you!
I am a thrifter in New Jersey. They just got rid of the colors of the week… and the prices are outrageous .. I would like to know why rules are different state to state 🤷♀️ our senior day is 15%. Yours is so much better ! Thks. Love your videos !!
We haven’t had discount colors for a couple of years and our senior discount is only 6% here in SD. The discount is just a little less than our sales tax rate. Better than nothing I guess.
You’ve probably asked GW before but why do they purposely put the price tags over the manufacturer’s markings on the item. They would have less peeled price stickers if they didn’t do that.
What is the pricing strategy? I go to one Goodwill and then another 5 minutes from the other and their prices are significantly higher. Thank you Danni. I just realized I have been watching you all year and was not subscribed! However your videos always come up! I’m now subscribing!❤
I wanna know the same question why they put the price over the makers mark when they know we’re gonna rip them off and then they’re gonna complain that we ripped off the price tag. So can’t someone in every goodwill be trained to teach the employees where to place a price tag in a general area without covering 22 karat gold or sticking tape around it rather than use Reynolds wrap. So many questions and thank you for this episode. I really enjoy your content. Keep up the good work.
Danni. When I worked in customer service we were trained to never say the word “cheap”. We’d say “least expensive”. Like “the least expensive option would be…” And til this day I still use it 😊
I would really like to know Why Goodwill prices pieces that you know are supposed to be together, why do they separate them and price them separately. It doesn’t make sense to me and it’s not right for then to do that. They get all of their items from donations so why do they feel the need to separate items and price them separately. It’s just not right
Congratulations on 100k ! Spoil yourself by having a special meal out with family, or with a special friend or your mum (or do multiple meals with all the special people in your life ... some people have birthday weeks, you can have a 'season' of 100k celebratory meals !) They don't have to be big or very expensive, just an excuse to do something that you will enjoy, with people who understand how special it is for you and so you remember the milestone as connected to special fun experiences. You are a dynamo and so many people benefit from your energy and your continual drive to do well for all those you connect with; you touch the lives profoundly of strangers in shops, people wanting to start their lives over and become resellers, friends and family who feel the warmth from your beautiful smily face or a person who watches your videos and sees options and motivation to just get out there and do something! Be proud. You made the you that you are now and the world is made better because of your integrity and hard work. My question for goodwill: If there are unpriced items - can there be a central "collection" spot in the store that people can place these, so the staff can address them for the next day, or next afternoon (not the counter where it can be busy and potentially confrontational for staff/shoppers ... but maybe a back shelf/ or near the donation/ sorting area??) .
I’m laughing out loud when I saw your reaction to the yard turtle, 🐢 it’s my reaction when I see something I know I can’t leave behind. Your video was so fun to watch.
question for Goodwill: Does every goodwill store go through items to save for the goodwill resale store before putting items for sale? Do employees/volunteers still get first chance to purchase items donated before they are out on the floor? Does every state have bin sales?
Fun video! My question for Goodwill is "Why do you play the music so loud?" In my local Goodwill, most of the time the music is softly playing in the background (enhancing my shopping experience). But when I find a store that plays music so loud that I find myself getting irritated, I will abandon my cart and immediately leave the store because nothing is so worth losing my harmony over, even groceries. There are plenty of stores to shop in.
Hi Danny, I got the item I purchased from you today! I have definitely not become my mother but not for the same reasons as you. I’m single, never married and no kids. I like to experience new places and new things and I’m very open minded and upbeat. Nothing like my mother, may she RIP.
I thought she could have bought a cheaper frame she didn't care for, with the same size back and stand, and replace the one on the pretty one. Another option.
All Goodwill items are donated, leftovers from yard and garage sales. So WHY does Goodwill overcharge for their items? It's SUPPOSED to help the poor and working class people!
I love that mystery shelf. I think those long blue dishes are maybe for banana splits. I have some clear ones similar to them and that's what they are.
QUESTION... have been angry about this for a couple of years. Why is it OK for GW employee to bring carts directly out of the back to a reseller sitting at the door. She gets in the cart before other customers do. She's there everyday but thursday.. Complaints ignored.
Question for goodwill, maybe it’s irrelevant because it’s a different area of the country from you but why did Indiana goodwills stop doing half off on color tags. 😢 They never have a discount anymore except one Saturday a month. Salvation Army still does the color tags so I never bother going to or donating to goodwill because of it.
I would like to know why the goodwill employees remove items from the shelves that are the color of the week. I saw an employee doing this and he told me that it’s their policy. I spoke to the manager and she also said it was their policy because they have so much inventory and they remove the color of the week to make room for new items. This makes no sense to me because it’s the color of the week their removing so I couldn’t purchase the items. I stopped going for a bit because I was a bit upset about this
My heart plummets when you pick something up and put it back with good reason and I just bought that item! I wish I could learn from you faster before I make buying mistakes. I wonder why my Goodwill doesn't have little bags of goodies. Where do they send those things or do they throw therm away?
For GW: why do you bag breakables/delicate items in bags, especially with heavy items… sure to cause damage. Why do you bag totally unrelated things together, such as golf tees with a crystal votive holder.
Instead of sending items that don’t sell to the landfill why don’t you have a section set aside and charge a dollar or two before you trash them. You prices are outrageously high. I’m on social security and I love thrifting but the prices are so high I have to pass on the majority of items I would have purchased if prices had been a bit lower.
Goodwill question: why do they put very broken, noticeably stained and ripped clothes out? If they say for crafts or something of the like, why not put them in a separate area?
You should've grabbed the DW Home Candy Corn Candle. That's a very high end candle company. Their candles smell AMAZING. I give them to my sister every Christmas.
You said Goodwill wanted questions, so here goes. I Know all goodwill locations operate independently. The goodwill here in Sarasota has suddenly been stocked with thousands of new products, the type of products one would find in a dollar store. Why???. Half the store is this junk. I do not shop goodwill for new products, and soon won’t shop there at all. Have others who noticed this change?
Thanks for asking Danni! My question for GW is why they removed vintage jewelry from their stores in Maryland? I don't shop there anymore, not so much fun. I suspect it's sent to shopgoodwill online to maximize profits, so I spend elsewhere. Antique malls have better vintage anyway GW!
I would like to know why Goodwill insists on raising prices for budget reasons. I think you would do much better at helping people in a broader scale employees, customers and resellers by selling at volume which means lower your prices so we buy more. Then you can in turn use that money for all of your programs
Ha ha ha ! Lipstick ! Those are corn cob holders. OMG, those s&p shakers ae so vintage. You should get a wonderful price for them.Hopefully the red ones should go by Christmas. That balloon dog was so cute, but needed batteries. Too bad.those are earrings.
A question I have for Goodwill excecs, the no price no sell rule. Why are so many items getting through without a price tag which means more go to the bins, less profit for Goodwill, unhappy customers. Can they at least come up with a way to resolve this, like maybe customer service desk where customers can go to, to get a price. A checking system whereby thry do not leave the store room without a price tag. Just 2 ideas off top of my head. There must be a better way than the system they have now.
In GA, Tues is Senior Day…25% off…..why is Vegas 40% off? Also, why is Goodwill bringing in new mdse? …and candy, etc in the check out lane….keep Goodwill a place of “gently” used items….
Actually, I do have a question for Goodwill Executives: is there a deeper meaning of playing the music the whole day incredibly LOUD? QUESTION FOR GW....if other thrift store chain can re price items on the spot why can't You? If priced on the spot because a price stage is missing, goodwill will either get the sale at that moment or the item is now priced and ready to go back on the floor. Why doesn't the Canadian goodwill have senior days every week instead of 1 time per month?
What they need is a shelf where you can put all the pieces that don’t have prices.
Why does Goodwill place price tags over the maker's marks on items?
Danni, just sayin that I love the way you teach us through your experiences, that’s the way folks learn, the fun way! Many thanks! 👍🏽♥️
I have said that a few times.
I have taken stuff to the counter, not for them to price for me, but so they know that something isn’t priced. I have also told an employee as they walked by about something that isn’t priced.
How about if it doesn’t have a price, don’t put on shelf? It would be very time consuming to go thru everything looking for prices. Nip it in the bud!
@amymarkey3013 I'm sorry I don't believe they put items out on purpose without a price. I believe they fall off or someone takes them off while they are out on the shelf.

Thanks for letting me tag along. I loved the wise men. Beautiful. Your dog was so cute being a spider.
I have a question for Goodwill. Why do they put labels over the marks on the bottoms? I think those pretty blue dishes/bowls are used for sundaes.
@@donnawisner1481 great question. I have asked those in charge at my goodwill that same question.it is a stupid practice.
Good question !!!
They are used for banana splits 😊

Totally!!
That shelf was a great find! Noah has a project. Congrats on reaching 100K...
Goodwill needs a centrally located basket where unpriced ed items could be deposited

Amazing finds! You are so funny. Thanks for making thrifting fun again for me!
Why isn't the Senior discount the same at all stores, in all States.
Every region does their own thing. My region did away with Sr discount altogether a bout s yr ago
Great questions some goodwills do it have senior discounts

blue glass banana split dishes, 100%.
Maybe suggest GW to set up a small area in their stores to put unpriced items.
So happy you got to100,000
Why do they cover the mark on the item with the price tag?
Love all chickens. It was a fun trip to Goodwill. 💜
I always love looking at all of the bougie blue items ! As you come across them.

I noticed that in a goodwill in Texas last year. They had donated items too but nothing great.
Yes I saw that at 3 different goodwills in tx when I visited my family…. If I wanted to go to dollar tree I wouldn’t have went to goodwill
I've noticed it in Bonita Beach as well.

Consider buying a second inexpensive frame the same size to replace the backing of the lovely broken frame.

A question for them would be , why dont you have discounts on color tags anymore ?
Each region does it differently. Mine did away w it a year ago
Snoopy heart dish.....sooo many neat good things

Be thankful for 25%, ours is only 15%!!
Each region has different pricing for Seniors. Goodwill NY/NJ only has 10% senior discount on Tuesdays.
The billy bob family on whatnot has the silver fade decanter that matches your glasses for $18.
That owl is cool
Question for GW folks. Just how do you price your items? On a very regular basis, you can buy online for less.
I am sure but just in case why do they cover with the goodwill label the manufacturer information? Thank you so much❤❤
I live in welland ontario Canada. The music at our goodwills is not loud. Also, they will go to the back and reprice an item with no sticker.
Actually, I do have a question for Goodwill Executives: is there a deeper meaning of playing the music the whole day incredibly LOUD? It must be horrible not only for customers but especially for all the employees getting the full blast the whole day. I am not from the US and something like this is not in any shops here (Europe).
It’s annoying!
I would like to know too !!!
I was just going to say that, I used to work in retail here in the UK and we rarely had music playing in our store and if we did it didnt blast out like this.
I have questions, why are Goodwill willing to lose a sale if an item's pricetag has fallen off? Surely, it would make more sense for a store manager to make a decision on price and sell the item on the spot?
Personally, when I walk into someplace with loud music I turn around and leave. Because I have MECFS, I am more sensitive to noise.
QUESTION FOR GW....if other thrift store chain can re price items on the spot why can't You? If priced on the spot because a price stage is missing, goodwill will either get the sale at that moment or the item is now priced and ready to go back on the floor.
