    Yes RC helis are unique and so called drones can't give you that :) i understand what you mean, there is really some nice feeling when the heli passes nearby in the way you want it. So many possibilities. I flied RC airplanes in the past but recently i got hooked onto helis too, they are very special. The part about company owner and customers watching your flight through windows was sweet :)

      @cutefoxRC I am happy that you undersatnd my piont! You are right: RC helis - like fullsize helis are so unique because of the freedom they give you, the nearly unlimited possibilities to start and land vertically and to fly away in all 360 degrees directions: backwards, forwards, sideways and all inbetween. I am thankful that the company owner really like me and my flying! This is a big luck!! All the best greetings and happy flights!!

    Helis do offer a serenity of sorts in their grace..they "paint a picture in finer strokes" which seems more complicated at first, because they are, but the "DANCE OF THE DRAGONFLY" is so beautiful to watch!

      @francisconti9085 You are absolutely right! When I was five years old (59 years ago now!!) I've seen for the first a helicopter landing and later take off again! I was in love from the second I've seen this machine doing the majestic landing approach. The when it took off vertically, hovered at a safe altitude, the nose was tilting down and this beautiful machine was accelerationg smoothly and flying away, I was infected forever! Like Dragonflys they have a grace and beauty which is fascinating! I am glad that you share this fascination! Best greetings, my friend!

    All that hover taxi and slow, fine control work makes you a better pilot! I love RC flying in nature.., full scale!

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @francisconti9085 Wow, it's great that you are flying full scale! I am admiring the braveness built on a great skill set of full scale pilots with large (and expensive) turbine models. Many of them are not avoiding risks and are flying spectacular AND safe at the same time! Thats my goal as well! And yes, I really feel how much is this controled taxi and hover work is giving me. Especially to avoid over-controlling the heli and instead giving the finest control inputs. Thats why I do not use any expo or rates. I love this super direct feel! Best greetings and I hope you can enjoy many flights the nature before winter comes!

      @RCCopterLove Yes, discovery of "control touch" and realizing that it is about "rate of motion begun, then ended" in nudges instead of "tracing path" such as driving, is the moment of understanding.. I've been lucky to fly full scale, and RC..RC IS ACTUALLY HARDER!
      I fly mostly RC STOL bushplanesnow..
      The electric brushless motor, lithium battery paved the path for advances in flying models reliability, approachable nature of durability and mass moulding of hulls & improved weight reduction without sacrificing strength, ease of success with new stability systems..bit is a wonderful time to enter the hobby, and in many new, smaller sizes, and larger sizes, all levels of the hobby are accessible..
      To fly a 1.5 or 2meter wingspan plane in naturally confined spaces is similar to flying 🚁😄 Patience, respect, flying within limits..discernment of what is possible & how to achieve safely..🥰
      Flying only gets better, full scale or RC!

      @@francisconti9085 Ah, so You were even flying full scale! Wow thats great! I was flyng Fullsize gliders in my youth for some months but never liked the landings at speed and sitting a few cm above groung level... You discribe this feeling of the light control touch so well. I love this 'balancing" of the heli. The very specific way of "drift" like behaviour in turns and circles. Experiencing the centrifugal and all other physical forces so well and "playing" with them instead of fighting them. Thats why I really love to fly in winds. Once you feel it, it's really a playing with the wind. Instead of fighting using the effects. And Yes again, it's a great time to fly models now. From my smallest M1, over the powerful M2 and my loved M4"s. They all are special and I love to fly them with their own flight characteristics. Best greetings and thank you for the conversation with you!

      @RCCopterLove You too my friend! The flying family of RC & full scale has always overlapped, the internet connects us all over the world together now! It's like a giant chat at a giant coffee shop, where we can all fit.. we have a lovely international community! Time zones are tough though!
      *I love that simulators can be a shared experience of pilots flying together virtually now! I would love to do that, but in financial difficulty I still can afford to fly local with friends..
      I don't have computer or internet beyond phone & tablet, but that is just for now 😄👍Be well my friend
      Sun is just rising here in the eastern US🌄😄Enjoy your "quiet Sunday"

    38yrs in the Rc hobby, I truly find flying helis the most relaxing and enjoyable Rc out of them all. And that’s why I’ve recently came back to the heli world and the new technology that it offers to make flying even more enjoyable.

      @thatsmyrc Thank you for sharing your long experience. I am completely new to the RC hobby, compared to you with 3,5 years experience. I started at once with helis because I love their unbelievable possibilities (vertical take off and landing) and the freedom they are giving! So I am happy that I started at once with your favorite! Best greetings!

      @@RCCopterLove well there’s a update with my experiencing helis again. Today I was lost in the enjoyment of the flight and something went wrong. I either let the battery get to low at 13% or the gps lost signal in my area which is a low signal strength. Either way my first gps heli recently went straight up on its own so I shut safety off switch before I lost it out of sight or damage to dangers in the surrounding area. Long story short dropped like a rock 30+ft up and destroyed the inner wood mounting plates.
      I’m new again to helis and fascinated by the simple things like hovering landings take offs not much into 3d. I’ll rebuild and learned from my failures and go to a better signal area 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @RCCopterLove
      @RCCopterLove  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@thatsmyrc Oh! I am sorry to hear about this crash! I hope the damage is not too bad and expensive!! Unfortunately I have heard some times that GPS helis do soemetimes fail and get out of control. John Salt (rchelicopterfun.com), my RC heli Guru, recommened me back in 2021, when I started flying CP helis, to learn in very small steps but without stability mode ot other electroninc help. I followed his tip and for several weeks I was just taking off, trying to hold the heli in a hover as long as I could. Beginning with 2, 3 seconds. It took a long time to get to hovering one full battery. But during this time I developed a feel how to control and "balance" the heli manually. This is unbelievable rewarding. It takes a lot perseverance and the results are coming slowly, but it has given me a stabile foundation. I am as well not into 3D flying, I love some basic acrobatics but most fascinating for me is smooth, elegant and controlled fying!! I wish you good luck with the revbild!! All the best!!

Those big loops are mastered and you can be proud of what you have achieved. Keep up the good work on TH-cam and continue sharing your experiences for us to learn and be inspired by.
