If they can survive the waves of heat death from its weapons firing, or the potentially organ rupturing shockwaves of its high caliber guns firing, and blast their way inside so they could ascend the titan, then that plan would work.
Although the percentage chance is so low that anybody who isn't an insane Kreig zealot would think "We can do that after we have made the preparations for it."
That reminds me of the end of an Arma 3 40k video. Group was fighting an enemy titan and the moment the void shields fell some dude from a penal legion speaks over the vox. "Charging enemy titan to plant explosive on it." The comment section of the video was just filled with "That one madlad who charged the titan is a Krieg player."

When the Emperor Returns or if he ever returns, he should see that the people of Krieg are the most loyal and fanatic in the service of humanity and the emperor and have more than made up for their leader's treason and deserve a place at the emperor's side alongside the loyalist Primarchs and the Custodes as the most significant examples of sacrifice and loyalty in the service of humankind and the emperor.

From what we know the opposite is more likely true. The emperor was a rational person who detested fanatism. He was just too blind in his pursuit of a unified galaxy to see the cracks showing which eventually led to the horus heresy. Krieg is not loyal ... they are freaking insane.

If he returns he'd do well to not acknowledge them beyond "You're doing good work, keep it up" - their fanaticism, devotion and lack of hesitation (their primary strength) comes from thinking they need to earn his forgiveness. While they MIGHT say "Big E came back and forgave us! Let's fight even harder to show our gratitude!" they could equally respond with "We earned our forgiveness, let's all focus on making Krieg an agri-world and getting fat." If it's the second one, a dozen Imperial lines are about to crumble.

@@TheSchultinator considering Steel Legion is fully built for armoured combined strikes, i'd wager that they do their blitzkrieg tanking jobs much better than the Krieg. in the Imperial Armour book they lost 3/4 or smth of their tanks in Vraks, tanking isn't their specialty
I feel that the Death Korp of Krieg and the Clone army have one thing similar no one talks about. Child Soldiers. The clones age twice as fast as regular humans so they are ten to eleven going to war while only training their whole lives. I believe Krief does the same. Just take these clones and put them through Krieg training and beliefs and you will have the basic Krieg Guardsman.

The Krieg are a pretty good representation of the Napoleonic + WW1 French army with smaller inspirations to WW1 Italian, British and German apparel since that is their intended design choice.
Their officers and Death Riders are literally based on French Cuirassier Cavalry down to the tassels while their Infantry greatcoats are based on the French WW1 army uniforms. Their combat Engineer uniforms are based on WW1 Italian assault infantry while their Grenadiers are based on WW1 German Stormtrooper Armour.
Their Helmets are based on the French Adrian with German Stahlhelm. Their gasmasks are British in design.
Death Korps of Krieg is WW1 incarnate.
Appropriate. The Death Korp is the last Guard regiment I’d want to be in and the western front of WWI is the last pace in history I’d ever want to be.

Imagine being trained from childhood to be a soldier, memorising the tactica imperialis, physically and mentally being conditioned to the peak of human ability and psychologically broken to the point of insanity.
And then not understanding tactics enough to *not* commit suicide by walking into no mans land
@@MiketheMadness The suicidalness is *mostly* a meme, of sorts, technically Kriegsman are always tactically minded. It's just that so often there is *so many goddamn kriegsmen* in one location that their losses can be seen as suicidal just due to how many bodies pile up. And then they win anyways, because only the necrons themselves can out-do Krieg in attrition. Very rarely have kriegs charged to their death in a situation where it would have been tactically damaging to an *entire* operation.

Imagine you are fighting the Imperium, you have managed to push them back to their last control points. You think of R&R after this bloody battle, but you suddenly hear the sound of gas masks charging against you, you think nothing of it, you can shoot them down, and yet, they keep charging against you without fear nor care, you frantically fire blindly into the enemy while the gap between you and them keeps closing by the second. Then, you feel a sudden pain in your neck, you have been hit by a shovel, you fall down to the ground, bleeding to death, you realize that you have been fighting the death korp of Krieg and you stood no chance from the very beginning...
That bit you did about diversity was hilarious, you're a legend mate. You should do a lore video on dreadnoughts, specifically leviathan ones more so, some of the characters interned into leviathans are legendary too, like you.

I love the Death Korp. These dudes backstory is great and I love the simplistic nature of their regiments and their dogged one minded determination.

A shovel is a good friend to any and every type of soldier. And a shovel is the best gear for a close-quarters fight in a trench.
Longer than a bayonet, simpler to handle than a rifle, sturdier than any other tool. Not only that, but they are extremely cheap and easy to make, so they're perfect for mass-producing.

The thing you need to know about the "Horses" that the Death Rider Cavalry charge tanks and bunkers with, is that they are similar to old terran horses only in an external examination from a distance. once you get up close and personal with the Steeds of the Death Riders, you realise they have far more in common (genetically and temperamentally) with a god damn Grizzly Bear. They are a lot like their riders in that they simply have 0 self preservation instinct and when they charge those tanks and bunkers, the Krieger on the back is simply along for the ride as his Bear/Horse/Rhino thing barrels into the enemy lines. as for durability, they are so damn tough they can go on at least another 50 yards with a heavy bolter crater in their torso.

Wants to die and martyr himself, but he's so good at fighting that he keeps surviving every battle. And the one time he manages to succeed and die, the Chaos Gods bitchslap his soul back into his body and make him a Perpetual out of spite.

The kriegers are pretty tragic really. They fight not because they are suicidal but because they want forgiveness. The civil war that destroyed krieg is so ingrained in their psyche that only the betrayal of Horus is worse in their minds. All this time they have been fighting to be forgiven for the sins of their ancestors. if they can just sacrifice enough and accomplish enough maybe just maybe they will be forgiven. Unfortunately that will never happen unless the emperor gets off his throne and goes to Krieg and says “You are forgiven”

I say we need a siege of Krieg. Now that Cadia has fallen, a heretic assault on that nuclear hell could be the most epic possible battle the setting could offer us right now (at least on my opinion) that still has a believable chance of turning out either way.

Small clarification:
Death Korps of Kreig will not embrace suicide attacks only because you tell them. They will always look for the method which has the best success rate of destroying the enemy and will also try their best to execute this method before they die.
Nothing gets more grimdark than the Death Korp of Krieg!

actually germans pronounce it koa, and also pretty sure they pronounce it korps because it's pseudo german and it sounds more german. one things for sure it is not pronounced core like in english

I know 40k is mere fiction, but it actually conveys a lot of information about human nature.
For example, Krieg is an EXTREMELY celebrated aspect of the 40k universe.
So, I asked myself, "What is it that draws so many people to Krieg?"
Then, I realized something: What makes Krieg unique is their EAGERNESS to die for their beliefs. They aren't just merely "willing."
Which, at least partially, indicates that what most people want (IRL) ISN'T money, power, sex, or anything like that. Those things are "void-fillers."
Instead, what we TRULY want is to have faith in something so blindingly noble that even death itself shall not make us avert our gaze.
Imagine having a faith so strong you'd jump on a grenade... ever so slightly smiling.
That is both a terrifying and beautiful idea.
