I know people say it a lot, but one of the things that makes this my favorite MTG content is the discussion. Players are allowed to talk about their lines of play with an opponent and go over possibilities and if something works or not. And Serge is never afraid to do that or feel like he is looking dumb. We love you Serge! I know watching the players talk though the plays has made me a better Magic player, and explained interactions I didn't previously understand.
YESSS please do the backseat combo deck episode. The discussing of the different play options and talking about what’s good at which moment has made me and many others see more options in our own games. You are making us all better players. Please please add onto this by teaching us even more ❤️
Hey, at 23:24 serge puts the hallowed fountain into play from opposition agent. This is MEGA CHEATS, not only are you doing this in end step, the opposition agent puts the card into exile, and serge had already played the urborg as land for turn!
@@TheTamally It's fine to miss triggers or miss sequence, but this is fundamentally changing what the card does and could lead to some people playing the card incorrectly in their play groups.
43:42 I believe the flipped tamiyo's +2 would effectively turn off the attack of the infinite squirrels, so i'm not actually sure the scurry oak line would have won. Very fun games!
Serge could do with having Ivy Lane Denizen (another way to combo with Scurry Oak) and Basking Broodscale (another way to combo with Rosie). Some of the Sheoldred/Oppo stuff just feels like he's trying to keep alive some midrange dreams, when he could just cram in more A+B(+C) combos (Sam+Cat+Sac for example)
I'm not even that old into magic but it feels nostalgic for me to see Scurry Oak combo again. That used to be my deck to climb Arena ranks and do daily quests. With multiple ways to combo or get infinite life like Heliod, Sun-Crowned + any Soul Wardens/Ajani's welcome; or classics like Famished Paladin + Presence of Gund
Someone else has called it out, so I will just give a separate shout out directly to Serge for making this especially interesting content for learning and getting better at the game of magic. It is greatly appreciated.
57:31 the Elves of Deep Shadow doesn't have haste and it pings for 1 when tapped for mana. Should've gone down to 10 if you actually could tap it for mana and do all the things.
Honestly Ben is really on to something. Helping players learn combos would be really helpful. Helping players see lines and discussing it i think has a lot of value.
Man that Rapid Augmenter would make a great pauper commander if it wasn’t ‘rare’ for some reason 😭 Ben’s deck looks like the kind of deck that could get me into Canlander to be honest.
The possible return of coached Highlander? I remember this being on Friday Night Paper Fight a while back. If we can see Flesh Ben's idea either here or there, I would watch the heck out of combo tutorial day!
Ben's idea of a N100 Showdown: Backseat Combo edition sounds really fun! Anything to put Wheeler and Nelson on camera together is S Tier in my book, plus it just sounds like a good time.
40:25 There are other problems with this line - that you caught! - but you *do* have access to 4 colours of mana for Prismatic Ending... There's an Urborg in play!
32:25 I suspect eating a food there would have been better than equipping the spear. Serge had plenty of food tokens, it gives the 3 life immediately while shadowspear offers 3 lifelink potential, and it would put 3 counters on either creature.
Here is an idea for a North 100 episode - the most misplayed cards in the format. An episode where everybody gets the chance to learn what the cards they do not understand do. The whole team will finally understand how Sagas work, and that your difficulty with the card type was a temporary fact about you, not a universal factor of the cards. Does not need to cover that many cards - give yourselves however long you need until everybody fully understands each card. It would be nice to see both you and the audience put preconceptions aside and meet cards on their own terms. Also, engagement! I have never played this format, but love to see y'alls enthusiasm for it!
He had Karakas for the mana to use for the food that turn, so I wasn't too upset about that cheat. Putting the Hallowed Fountain into play with the Opposition Agent, that hurt though.

Opposition agent doesnt need to get any better Serge please
Food Combo (christmas dinner)
Tokens (christmas presents)
Ben and Serge (an angel and a star)
Very festive video 🎄
and Paul too!
I'm sure I've said this on multiple videos but the editing on your videos is amazing. The editors deserve more credit.
galvanic discharge depicting ben crushing surges hopes and dreams of coming back to that game

It's well known at this point that Serge doesn't actually read the cards, so they haven't been explained
Serge. Famous for being a judge, not reading cards, and commiting big cheats
Yeah, it's almost as bad as Serge missing 3 constellation triggers with Urza's Saga in one video lmao We all miss stuff, it happens.
@@TheTamally It's fine to miss triggers or miss sequence, but this is fundamentally changing what the card does and could lead to some people playing the card incorrectly in their play groups.
"I promise we know what our cards do." ~ Serge
are the cards in the thumbnail in the wrong spots?
I think so?
Looks like it-I did a doubletake because the brewmaster seemed like a weird choice in a jeskai deck
Naw. They never make mistakes and try to be funny.
yah
Nah you see it's so that Serge can look like he's fighting the tokens and Ben is going to drop the entire tokens box on Hazel's Brewmasters
43:42 I believe the flipped tamiyo's +2 would effectively turn off the attack of the infinite squirrels, so i'm not actually sure the scurry oak line would have won. Very fun games!
Shadowspear gives trample, so either Serge gains life from the Solitude or gets a lethal attack
yes, but scurry oak has infinite power and shadowspear gives trample
@@poiri i indeed somehow missed the shadowspear there, thanks.
Would love to see a FNPF with that combo beginners guide you discussed at the end. Loved the old A team B team vods. Love showdown. Love you all!
I put my engagement on the stack
Congratulations
*Pausing to bluff a counterspell* ... Resolves

Yup, Broodscale would have won him the game that turn.
Yeah hearing serge say he cut the midrange and then play oppo and shadowspear feels weird
A great present from the LRR crew to us!
Indeed. As a trucker a day off and north 100 are always a step up. (Cussing people out in the warehouse and staring down drivers doesn't hurt either)

He could have used the Karakas instead, and it would have worked.
I really enjoy watching Serge cook (pun intended) with the food deck, it makes for great and interesting matches!
Combo learning session is a really cool idea for a video, I love learning from experts
Awesome game y’all. Love seeing what was hinted at by the FNPF ok 11/29 finally making it onto North 100 Showdown!
Fleshben sounds like some weird Scorn body horror-esque version of a flashbang.
How appropriate that a food deck would be airing on Christmas
Honestly Ben is really on to something. Helping players learn combos would be really helpful. Helping players see lines and discussing it i think has a lot of value.
just got my fleshben from the lrr store and i love him! thanks for all you do!

That idea Ben had to have Wheeler and Nelly backseat him and Serge through some combo sounds like a legitimately fantastic FNPF
Serge: "I think this is the best version of this deck I've ever made"
Also Serge: Proceeds to lose the next two games and cheats.
Food cards seem really cool but tragically they’re just too fair. It could have helped if Forage was much more powerful, maybe.
More Ben.
More Serge.
More Food.
Love it!
40:25 There are other problems with this line - that you caught! - but you *do* have access to 4 colours of mana for Prismatic Ending... There's an Urborg in play!
Hey it’s the cohost of Shuffle Up and Play
51:31 for a lil scream in the background.
Would be very excited to watch a "Wheeler & Nelly's bootcamp" ep like Ben was discussing at the end of this video!
Want to see that wheeler/nelly coaching game! Or really just that fnpf where people new to the format play and have a coach behind them guiding them
Good Games! Thanks for the vid!
32:25 I suspect eating a food there would have been better than equipping the spear. Serge had plenty of food tokens, it gives the 3 life immediately while shadowspear offers 3 lifelink potential, and it would put 3 counters on either creature.
I love the old Uno Revere thumbnail
As the premier running bit of the format.

Ah, the classic North 100 showdown: a Judge's Tower throwdown
Hey Serge - where’d you get that apple food token? I collect food tokens and that one looks great
Wheeler shouting "no?" 51:31
the vibes of this show slap so hard
@48:00 Proposal: A North 100 Show Down mini-series, Food versus everyone. Just so Serge can play food more.
ooo a food gauntlet! king of the (hobbit) hill!
A fnpf were ben and nelson tech people how to paly combo would be asosme
The video description may say Serge and Wheeler, but this episode is all Flesh Ben!
I think I hear Wheeler shouting in the background.
Merry Christmas to us. New North 100 to unwrap!
thank you for having me, it is good to be here
Thank here for good, it's having me.
The way Ben starts searching for his land after a fetch gives me anxiety
It took me a bit to figure out that is what he was doing.
Same
Now I wanna see a Ben v Ben matchup where both decks require cards with "ben" in the title.
Ben ben ben ben ben
Akki hermit
To be fair, Serge /could/ play Bind against a fetchland's activation. Probably won't ever but it'd be hilarious.
Did Ben just hyper sack Serge these games or is Jeskai's card quality just that high?
40:05 i hope they realize that tamiyo starts with 2 loyalty if flipped and the -3 cant be activated right then
They did!
that was some great canadian sergelander
On Christmas?!!
Slow it down Serge. Elves of Deep Shadow had summoning sickness at the end there and Oppo exiles the card.
He had Karakas for the mana to use for the food that turn, so I wasn't too upset about that cheat. Putting the Hallowed Fountain into play with the Opposition Agent, that hurt though.
Love to see more Ben, love to see serge putting in reps with food again
merry christmas chat :)
Forbidden friendship only gives the dragon token haste not the human. So he could only attack for four on the swing not 5
In game 2? He literally pointed out that the tokens are being granted haste by the augmentor, and that the DINOSAUR has double haste.
Is Ben's initiative token Vi Arcane?
Id watch the backseating episode of learning decks :)
Happy holidays.
Flesh Ben!😍
a christmas miracle
If North 100 was animated, Serge would be voiced by Chris Parnell
Have there been Ben on Ben episodes? I want Ben in stereo
I demand more BenBen!
North100 🤝 Serge misplays
IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
Name suggestion for jeskai tokens; "just guys"
Flesh Ben? What about Flesh Wheeler?
39:50 Ben just lying on camera
40:55 Rosy Cotton with a Wraith's Blade. Lol. Tolkien couldn't make this up. Lol
Rally at the Hornburg
Rally at the Taco Bell
North 100 for Festivus!
I demand more flesh Ben
Is it weird to anyone else that Bern is just taking cards off the top instead of just picking up his deck to search at 7:47
10:23 I see RK Post tokens
MORE BENBEN
Flesh Ben is the best Ben
There are so many proxies in the Ben Ulmer deck LOL, there is not a rule to limit the use of proxy cards in Canadian Highlander ?
Flesh Ben hype
I have never seen some search their deck with 4 cards at a time.
BenBen in the...FleshFlesh?
Serge's deck should be called Junk Food.
57:31 Serge can't eat food cos elves came into play this turn.
Don’t remember the time stamp but isn’t he activating the food which is not a creature so doesn’t need haste?
@@kinaantaha139 talking about the elves of deep shadow that was tapped to pay for the food activation, except it should have had summoning sickness
@@kinaantaha139, yeah, food is not a creature, but manadork is a creature.
Could've used mana from Karakas that combat instead of tapping the Elves of Deep Shadow.
That's not how Opposition Agent works. Game loss for Serge Yager.
Land doesnt go to bf
always support Flesh Ben
I support meat Ben!
ENGAGEMENT POWERS, ACTIVATE!
Moar flesh Ben and Serge ineversaytheright name yaeger
"Food Combo"? When "Combo Meal" is right there?
Fleshy B(en)!
Nice
Ben's playing? It's a Christmas Miracle!!!
Can I “support” more Flesh-Ben while also requesting you never say it again?
do doo do do do manana
For the algo gods!
