The risk i took came with the arrival of the PS3. I was almost burnt out on playing games... I pretty much only played racing games and a few cartoony titles once in a while... I had never played an RPG seriously before, and i was on the verge of selling my PS3, but decided to go to Gamestop one last time, just to see if something caught my eye. I saw Final Fantasy 13, and decided that the potentially last game i would play for a long time should be a series and genre i never even touched before! I ended up LOVING how FFXIII played, and it encouraged me to keep playing games, even if they aren't genres i have played before. And now, almost 12 years later, there have been almost no days where i was home, and i didn't play for at least a little bit... By this point, i wouldn't be surprised if the time i spent on gaming finally equals or even beats the time i spend going to school and doing homework! So for that reason, FFXIII is technicaly my favorite game ever, but not because of what the game is, as it's pretty mediocre, but in what it represents. It was the game that not only kept me gaming, but also inspired me to go try out titles i would never have tried before that point!
Please release that one on onesie playlist! I assure you it will have tons of views! I find myself constantly going back to them whenever I need a laugh and it never disappoints. Nath’s rage and Dave odd noises/faces are priceless.
Hello my lovely PlayStation access team! I've been a Sony player through all generations 1-4, it's been a trip, and I love that you are a team that covers what I love! Lol lots of love! ✌️✌️
Rosie, you're not alone; those dogs terrified me more than anything in any other game when I was a kid! My heart rate went right up whenever the radar went red. :P
In light of One on Onezie being referenced..It needs to come back! I might just beg...I realize all the work and time constraints of access granted, but you could just bring back one on onezie in it's own separate series. Of course I'm still enjoying all the other videos, but that was fantastic as well. Plus you could have everyone have turns on it. :-D Anyways, great video. As far as a gaming risk-it-all I took....I would say getting every character I had killed in Darkest Dungeon because I didn't play conservatively enough....I had to start the game all over, haha.
@@thatmoderndaywarrior I saw that match, you can't claim a victory due to a technical hiccup That'd be like Lewis Hamilton claiming the F1 championship while the other drivers were experiencing engine problems
Rosie makes some fantastic game choices on this channel! A gaming risk I took was getting up early and beating the Propagators on the Rangnarok in FF8, watch the Eyes on me cutscene, return to earth and save the game all before school in, like; 2001?! Good fun!
I don't know about risking it all, but I risked $60 (and apparently my PS4) when I bought Anthem even though I've never played an online looter before and the reviews were coming in as "meh". Actually, even with some of the problems, I'm actually finding myself enjoying the game. There's the base of a really good game there. I just hope it survives this rough start.
One time I risked it all was in Final Fantasy VIII. I was facing off against Ultamecia and my entire party save for Squall had been wiped out. His action commands were set to Draw, Renew, and GF and obviously two of those commands were completely useless against her, but I didn't know that at the time. So instead of resetting the game and retrying the fight like any sane person would have done I pushed on for 35 minutes with Squall only. She would cast Hell's Judgment and reduce me to 1 HP, I would hit her with a limit break, then use Renew to bring myself to full hp again. It was a war of attrition and one of the most epic fights I have ever had in any RPG to this day. That fight, and the fact that I was able to finish it with a single character is why FFVIII stands as one of my favorite Final Fantasy games of all time.
I came face to face with Rob in Destiny 2 in a crucible match so me being me was determined to show what I could do risking a match win streak.... He owned me well and truly! I like to think that one day I will have my redemption! Maybe on CTR? ;)
Vanilla Destiny 1 nightfalls. You are the only one left alive, do you continue hiding in a corner only posing out to occasionally shoot the boss or risk having to go back to orbit to revive your squad.
My biggest rick in gaming was Final Fantasy 10. Before it I only ever played Dynasty Warriors games, being a hack & slash player looking at turn based RPGs was a mental nightmare. So a classmate at the time told me "If you like my drawings, you'll love Final Fantasy 10" he had books full of Final Fantasy art. I saved up my money, bought it loved it.
I remember the fear in Azure Dreams, you could only safe at the end of levels, if you would get killed, you lose the whole run. You always had to chose between one more level, fight or item and running for your life.
One game series I really enjoyed but made some big risks was Atelier Iris. I actually remember facing off the final boss - Amalgam - with what was, unfortunately, an under-leveled party. That boss hit like a ton of bricks, could regenerate HP at every turn, and it took me all of my healing items to survive. The biggest risk was that even after switching out my party members, they would drop like flies until the last member remained - who was a tank who had no healing items left. I only had enough AP for one last skill... an lo and behold, that strike did just enough damage to finish that boss off.
I'll never forget the first time I started experimenting with this channel outside of the Friday features, it was the time Nathan and Dave played 2k. I pride myself with being an adaptable player. I risked my title when I played Call of Duty against my brother. It was my first time playing and within two hours, I came in second place very close to my brother.
My risked it all and LOST IT was playing Dark Souls 1. I had defeated Ornstein and Smough and was thrilled!! I looked up that there was a special armor to be had by defeating them in reverse order so what I did was not save (big mistake) and do it again. I could NEVER beat that encounter after that. It was like they gave me a big middle finger and said NO! Yup, took a stupid gamble and super failed, lol. P.S. I'm banned from playing that series in my house due to the wife so I'll probably never fight them again.
