I fell in love with him the very first day it aired here, I was six or seven years old, never gelt different, and he was the only prominent one I cried for several days when he hsd to go. Though I knew how ill he was. He was my soul mate, and I still get wet eyes while I write. It made me happy to learn when I was an adult, that he was in real life a lovely and honorable Gentleman too. My childhood heart had chosen right :)
ev dallas No way. The new Star Trek characters are alright, but I think the shoes that were left are slightly too large for them to even consider filling, TOS is amazing and cannot be replaced, no matter how hard people try...

It's a shame though that his former actors and actresses knock him all the time and say ugly things about him, he won't admit the deep hurt feelings he has after he heard what they all said, he just simply distanced himself from them. That's why you rarely see him taking pictures with them in the later years after the show left the airwaves.

He has always loved to make people laugh. Every talk show, game show, convention, etc. He is an entertainer. These co-stars, some of whom were extras, got very big-headed when the conventions came about. I'm talking about George, James, and Walter. They really thought they were big stars, but in reality, they were not and the jealousy just took off from there.
In "The Cage" we see the very first Spock smile , only for a moment. These smiling Spock photos are priceless. When this series was made , the actors probably had a hard time keeping a straight face. Smiling Spock makes your day. R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy. 1931- 2015.

It really hit me when he passed away. Not a huge sci-fi guy, but Sunday mornings were for Star Trek from childhood to youth. I will always remember a Twitter quote when he passed away, “boldly go with that little piece of my youth packed in your suitcase. Look after it”.
@@michaeladalton1451 In that episode, if you watch it closely, you will catch a glimpse of him standing agsinst a set with his hands behind his back, not realizing the cameras were rolling. Once he became aware of the cameras were rolling, he quickly got back into the blood fever position.
Shatner was a tease. He liked to play pranks. Nimoy found this annoying at times, especially when it involved his bike. (Look up the bike story) They were good friends though.
Damn, he gets even more attractive then on screen! I'm sure the moment he goes up in his Spock so much he would even forget to put off those famous ears, he wouldn't be able to keep the women off him... All the actresses who ever were in Star Trek are damn Lucky!
Hanne Lemahieu: Unfortunately, as has been pretty well documented by now, almost all the actesses who got into TOS first had to sleep with Gene Roddenberry.

I know that Leonard Nimoy had issues about typecasting, and always being known as 'Spock`, but it ended up that the character made him immortal.

I've read that there was tension between Nimoy and Shatner but they look like best buds in these photos.
