Incredible! To see how Aaron quickly adapted the basketball skill to meet Gabe where he could be successful and still practice was on point. Aaron knows how to read the room. It shows how much he respects Gabe and his journey. Luv this!
Gabe has completely changed what I thought I knew about autism. Please thank him for me. I can’t wait til he starts writing to tell us about himself…it’ll come soon.
Gabe cathces the ball every time 👍👍👍 so confident with that .. now he has to get confident throwing the ball from a distance .. he Will get there I know it ❤
Did I just hear Gabe say "yes" in the very beginning ? 🤔 I'm sure I did!! I LOVED HEARING GABE SAY YES‼️‼️ Gabe, THAT was 💯 MAGNIFICENT 👏👏👏👏OMG‼️ YES, BABY, YESSSS‼️ 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@user-pp7xk6wz5d when coach asked, "are you ready". Obviously, I'm not the ONLY person who heard it, as there's another comment from someone else who heard it too.
I recently discovered your videos of Gabe. I love watching him! His willingness to participate brings happy tears to my eyes. I have a grandson that is disabled and nonverbal so watching your son is so heartwarming to me. He is a beautiful boy and I hope and pray that he will continue to keep trying! I wish your family only the best in your journey. Much love from this stranger! ♥️🙏🏻
Gabe is so good at catching the ball! I understand that frustration of trying to sink a shot, and I like Gabes solution 😅 like why not just walk up and dunk it, that's the logical thing to do!
I think he knows to get it in the basket and go for the win. Him catching the ball is really good. He wasn't even hardly looking at it so he definitely has hand eye coordination really well.
I love Gabe’s and his Coach Aaron interactions! I love it when Gabe gives him the Face when he doesn’t want to do it! But he shakes it off and does what Coach wants! He enjoys that male bonding he has with Aaron! ❤ Love you guys and thank you for sharing ❤
Aaron, love that you keep incouraging Gabe, He always catches the ball when you throw it, a step in the right direction. Gabe keep going, many people are rooting for you. Long island Kathy
I grew up with autistic family members. The most annoying part is to explain that they understand everything exceptionally well. In fact, they tend to overthink in ways that are way above ours. Credits to this young man, may he become able to express himself in more ways and know some people find him normal. ❤❤❤
Hi I enjoy watching Gabe and you guys mostly in shorts ,every evening. I know next to nothing about autism but I notice a marked improvement in Gabe’s awareness. I find myself doing a little cheer for every step forward. This amazing young man is so fortunate have you guys as Moms and the coach to work with him . Just wanted to say something in appreciation.❤
This looks like PE in our classroom! We have a wonderful charity who come in a make sports more sensory friendly for the teens. It's such a joy. Gabe is working so hard, an example to everyone honestly!
Gabe seemed upset having to do this exercise. But he does wonderfully outside at the basketball court. Gets that big basketball right in the basket almost every time when there.
I worked at an elite school for students with Autism. It cost big $$$ for kids to go, and it more or less involved working with them after school in their campus life experience, or dorms (resident school) a lot of kids became so violent we needed to do crisis intervention/prevention training routinely and de-escalate students all the time. They wore me down, and out, and I went on to work in another field. I commend people like this coach, and parents, I know there's a side to this kid that the Internet doesn't get to see, and it's a very real and common side with teens on the spectrum. Great job guys. Seriously. It takes a lot of patience. The outbursts can be heartbreaking for everyone involved.
To be honest, I don’t share everything but Gabe is not aggressive or self injurious thank goodness. He does struggle with anxiety which causes him to not want to move at times.
That’s called “stimming”. It doesn’t necessarily means he is saying no, it’s more of a way to let out emotions like smiles, excitement or energy. He’s doing well and learning something new so the stimming helps him balance his emotions. 😁
I know sweet FA about sport. He’s great at catching. Perhaps some method to really practice repetitive throwing. Almost like multiple balls into a trash can(s). He’s good. It would be good to see what position he’s good at. Maybe he’s a runner, defender or intercept/pass to shooter. 🏆
This precious young man may have benefited from holistic health as well. Love seeing him work with all his support. Heavy metal detox is my understanding when they are young. Sinister people want us ill, detox removes their intentions. Spraying from clouds, our foods and medicine including shots. I wish more people in general knew. I really wish this young man and parents the absolute best ❤❤ I pray God touches his mind and opens new learning and receptions ❤
I wouldn't praise him for dropping the ball into the basket. He's obviously frustrated, he doesn't want to play it anymore or at least at the time of filming. He was also purposely throwing the ball to the corner, AWAY from the basket when Aaron was telling him to shoot the ball into the basket. His moaning was also clear to me that Gabe didn't want to participate any longer. Again, at the time of filming this, he was already at the point he didn't want to ahoot basketball anymore. So, my point goes back to not cheering him on if he's simply DROPPING the ball into the basket when his instructions are to SHOOT the ball into the basket!! I got long winded I know because I couldn't find the right way of saying it. I'm sorry.🥴
This is very sad to see idk what kind of parent think they should exploit the disability of there kids like this…. They can do it because he is not aware of what is going on but the government needs to do something about these parents….. I know ur not a bad parent but this doesn’t make u good either!!!!
Aaron just treats him like a normal person. He definitely adapts to Gabe’s capabilities but never teaches down. He’s at level and beyond always.
Incredible! To see how Aaron quickly adapted the basketball skill to meet Gabe where he could be successful and still practice was on point. Aaron knows how to read the room. It shows how much he respects Gabe and his journey. Luv this!
WHen Coach asked "Are you ready? Sounded like Gabe said "Yes" !

Gabe ist ein richtiger Sportler geworden, gratuliere, freut mich sehr. Scheint gut für ihn und seine Entwicklung zu sein. 🙂

Watching Gabe from young boy to young man is such a treat 🥹🫶

Poor gabe he goes from happy cos he can do something to annoyed and frustrated cos he cant. Practice makes perfect gabe ❤
I wish we could tell him, that happens to all of us from time to time.

I don’t think Gabe likes this :( He shakes his head no many times and walks away.
