I am an adult woman on the spectrum. There are sounds that i find soothing. Those sounds are typically in the key of E or tones within that range. I have watch several of Gabe. Fast car is in E. Stevie Nicks’ primary key is Ee. The Christmas song his friend was singing to him was also E. I think that you will easily find even more songs for him to enjoy using this as a search parameter.
❤ I have 2 autistic children and this was so very helpful. My youngest daughter absolutely responds to music and sounds... she is non-verbal too ... just like Gabe. He reminds me so much of my little girl.
Agreed! I'm new here and I'm wondering if Gabe ever had any elopement issues? My son Gabriel is a year older and still darts off (tries to) in blink of an eye. Any suggestions are SO appreciated.
Congrats on enjoying watching a parent exploit their disabled kid who clearly doesn't understand why he's being constantly filmed and set up to do these videos 🤣🤣🤣
I was diagnosed with autism when I was 3 and was nonverbal till age 5. Your son definitely is such a wonderful soul. He's very intelligent too. I believe people like him are angels brought here to inspire us and help us be better people. He definitely has a beautiful light that shows brightly.
Speech therapist here who works with AAC users! I’ve been following you since the pandemic. Love seeing Gabe communicate verbally/on his device and through non verbal movement! I’m so happy you bring up the concept of “presuming competence” from his spelling sessions. I completely agree and use that when it comes to supporting my students, colleagues and their families ❤
How is he so captivating?! I swear I hang on his every expression, inflection, movement, etc.! What a beautiful young man and such a beautiful family! God bless you all!
I love him so much! My son is 7 and autistic. He's not completely nonverbal but he is speech delayed. Nothing makes me happier than seeing him doing something he really loves and finds comfort in. Gabe even looks like an older version of my son.
Gabe, watching you out and about enjoying just being out makes me smile. Happy just to be. What a sweet young man. Happy in his own skin. Long island Kathy
Thank you for showing the beautiful side of autism. I have 2 children with autism, one non verbal and the staring into your eyes is magical. I wish you all the happiness in this world!!!
Thank you for reminding me that I need to get my son outside. I become so afraid it’ll be elopement or aggression that I hesitate and that’s exactly what he needs. Fresh air, Sunshine. And the freedom to twirl. My son is 15 and on the spectrum. He is very much like Gabe. But ever since he hit puberty, he’s become more aggressive and frustrated. He has hit me and thrown things at me and it prevents me from wanting to take him out for fear that he’ll do that in public and someone will respond In an unwanted way. But I have to think of him first and not worry about people. Thank you. And my son thanks you.
Nicole, so wonderful to hear all the vocalizing! Vowels, humming, rhythm! Such joy! Is this more vocalizing than usual for him? I'm curious what would happen if you play the video and let him see his vocalizing? Is there anyone who will work with the language he uses to help him develop more words? He has a beautiful spirit! Whether he develops language, or communicates totally with the tools available, we continue to pray the best life for Gabe. Thank you, again, for sharing.
My son was diagnosed with Austim when he was 3yrs. From around 3 1/2yrs humming the words was his way of communicating to us. His eye contact wasn't terribly good but one day I saw him looking directly at me when I was speaking to him , I said "Can you see Mummy's mouth opening and closing when I am talking?". Within a couple of days he started saying words, then after a few weeks whole sentences. He knew everything I had been teaching him, (Even though I wasn't sure what he could or couldn't understand). He still finds it hard work in social settings and has meltdowns when things overwhelm him. He found Primary school hard a couple of the teachers had no idea how to work with him, Secondary school, well they were fantastic! They made an effort to ask us about our son regularly, to update how best to teach him. He passed 7 GCSEs and now attends the local college, studying Business Management. We are all so proud of him. I often do wonder though, what if he hadn't looked at me that day and watched my mouth moving. That little window opening opportunity between the two of us is very special to me. EDIT: He was nearly 5ys old when he started saying those first words.
He will communicate with the tools available. My nephew is so nonverbal that, once when I carried a comic book purse and he said, "You like Batman", I almost passed out. I started babbling about superheroes to him, but quickly saw in his eyes that he was gone again. Never heard a word from him since, and he's about to graduate college. The autistic brain is just wired differently.
Good job Gabe and to your moms as well.Im from Saskatchewan Canada and my son Michael and I love your work and we are so proud of you.Mike is 26 with high functioning Aspergers and so glad you express yourself so freely.Kudos to you and moms!!!
Aww gabe you’re such a beautiful soul, with such a loving family.. You’re an inspiration. Much love to you and your family, from my family in England. ❤
Hello Gabe and family. I found this channel right now and was pretty strong moment for me. My angel cousin, was no verbal autistic. Sadly i lost him when he was 9 eyars old, until that day he made so much improvment, said always my name and gave me a kiss everytime i went to see him. We played and saw movies together a lot. I always wonderded how he would be when he grows... seeing Gabe now i can understand. this is so beautiful for me and my family. bless for all of you who are always by his side and a lot of love. Regards.
I´m in love with Gabe... your family is so special... never imagined how much I could learn watching `shorts`.. thank you so so so much for sharing these!!!
I stumbled onto your page somehow and couldn't stop watching. Gabe is so beautiful and such an inspiration. My heart smiles with joy when he smiles and I absolutely love how deeply he looks into your eyes. He's clearly filled with so much love for his mom's. Give him a big hug from a loving new friend from afar! 💜
Gabe is constantly in my prayers. Ever since I found a clip of him by coincidence just going through youtube.. But honestly ever since hes been on my mind. I continually pray his mothers have limitless strength and that he is surrounded by love, peace and harmony all his life. Love ya Gabe❤
I don’t know Gabe but I feel so connected to him. So much love for that sweet smile of his! I really look forward to seeing his videos. Thank you for sharing your precious son with us.🥰♥️
I’m autistic but verbal and I’m lot older,I’m 29,but love seeing other autistic people and kids. Much love to you and Gabe from Croatia ❤. I love music too. If you can play to Gabe song : Baby Lasagna - Rim tim tagi dim….wanna know his reaction
I am absolutely in love with this family. I have worked with severely disabled kids at the Dolphin Research center and wondered if you have ever been there? It's amazing to see the reactions of these beautiful kids to the dolphins and the dolphins are like angels on earth and communicate with the kids. They are not really in captivity as they are in the Gulf and able to leave anytime they want.
As I watch this, there are few words. I’m not especially religious, but I do believe in faith. From afar, I appreciate the parents of that beautiful young man for sharing their journey, NOT struggle, as a lot of people would characterize their unique experience. I 🙏 for their continued strength, patience and overall happiness. But, more than that, the love. Thank you for showing us how it’s done. I wish you all a long and happy and healthy life. ✌️ 🌹
We had a non-verbal, autistic girl in our girl-guides when I was a kid, she often did those spins that Gabe did at the start and didn’t go near any one, when we had to do a verbal task her mum would sit next to her and say stuff for her.
I just recently started taking a peek into your lives. Thank you for sharing....I am so happy to see that Gabe has a way of communicating. I was feeling bad, thinking he was frustrated. I am mesmerized when I watch him circular dance. I'm his newest fan. ❤
It’s great to see Gabe loving the outdoors. Nature seems to be something special to those with sensory needs. I love how he loves sound, movement, even when he might see the world differently with his eyes when he moves his head fast or spins. I love the expression on his face when asked if he’s ready to go. (Not yet mum!😅)
I love how mom just let him be he’s certainly making more sounds to. I was shopping in the grocery store this evening and this little boy about 10 or 12 grand down one I’ll end up the next and back to his parents and I smiled at the Family. They smelled back, and I asked, where is the fire? And the mom smiled and replied, I know, right? I do believe your channel helped me understand that moment that I could accept that Family or walk on by and let them be invisible.
I am intrigued that Gabe plays with that blue strap using his pronator and supinators. There are musicians who spend their lives trying to incorporate forearm rotation into their playing and can't quite get it and here he is with perfect examples.
Every time u post a vedio on TH-cam my notifications come up to say you’ve posted a vedio I get so exited to watch them because I know it’s a vedio of gabe I know I keep saying but gabe always makes me happy as I have autism to your both beautiful mums and gabe is lovely and he is doing so well you should be so proud I don’t have Facebook but at least I can watch the videos on TH-cam Bailey is a beautiful dog to ❤
What a beautiful child, he’s just not grounded to this earth. That’s ok, I bet you can use other things to grab his attention and heart. Truly he is full of love and light.
Definitely subscribing to your channel. I think you are awesome mothers and Gabe is lucky to have parents like you. I am autistic myself. it’s cool to see channels with other autistic people on TH-cam definitely subscribing
I came across your channel, wonderful videos! Thank you for sharing in spreading awareness for us :) I have a form Autism, no real understanding but discrimination. I really enjoy your posts. Thank you again. Plus I just subscribed :)
I think this is a great video to show people who think being Autistic is a tragedy/so unfortunate for the autistic person. We're not always having meltdowns, put us in the right environment and remove your neurotypical expectations from us and we have a great time!
I think that this boy does not feel good while you filming him. Sometimes I think that he feels confused. I like him very much and I wish him luck all of my heart.
Do people expect Gabe to be able to talk or day words someday,? I do not know anything about autism. Do they get frustrated by not saying words? Gabe is so sweet and shows so much love for u and ur partner and being outside. Hes just s joy. Thanks for sharing.
Your son instantly reminded me of Björn Andréson, who became internationally famous in 1970 for being The Most Beautiful Boy in the World. Love Gabe’s spirit.
Hello Gabe, I'm so glad I found your video's, I have learned that my grandson and you are a lot a like. My grandson is autistic, has blond hair, loves music and also loves to spin or to spin everything he can get to spin and loves to dance . His name is Cyrus Neal and will be 3 on March 16th 2024. You are such a inspiration knowing he to can be a blast to watch grow up to be a fine young man. Best wishes to you and your Mom's 🥰🥰 We are his grandparents Pam & Tammy otherwise known as Papa & Nana to 10 beautiful grandbabies .. 😊😊

With all of the respect, he's very handsome and tall. That face is a great one. He's beautifully handsome
He is totally gorgeous.
His jawline is absolutely perfect.
He's a handsome guy and that hair needs to stay just like that Gabe x
It's impossible not to have a massive smile on your face when you watch that boy I swear.
He is so sweet and pure ♥️
He's a beautiful being 😊
I COMPLETELY AGREE!! 💜🤗💜

Yes! Thank you!

Love how vocal Gabe is becoming! 🤗 Love his hair too! 😎
Thank you for sharing. It is clear to see that in all your videos that love, compassion and patience you show to Gabe is heart warming to see.
I love him so much! My son is 7 and autistic. He's not completely nonverbal but he is speech delayed. Nothing makes me happier than seeing him doing something he really loves and finds comfort in. Gabe even looks like an older version of my son.

Thank you for showing the beautiful side of autism. I have 2 children with autism, one non verbal and the staring into your eyes is magical. I wish you all the happiness in this world!!!
Chanting a syncopated rhythm toward the end there. Nice!
I think i know what song he was chanting just dont know the name and its a popular one 😁😁😁
I think he must always have a song in his head like me. He is definitely humming specific beats.
Thank you for reminding me that I need to get my son outside. I become so afraid it’ll be elopement or aggression that I hesitate and that’s exactly what he needs. Fresh air, Sunshine. At 2:42 Gabe says "Alright, let's go" 🙂
The connection between the spirit and the human body a process of understanding and accustomization.
Wow you are the best mom and have the best son. I wish I had a mom like you.
Love the melody in his music 🎶

A lovely spot for dancing♡
You're right. His hair is gorgeous. I think, he needs some earbuds. So, he can dance to his tunes on his walks.
He’s so handsome.
I think that Gabe would enjoy Janelle Monae's album, 'The Age of Pleasure' - especially the song, "Float". Sending love and good vibes from Canada!
I think this is a great video to show people who think being Autistic is a tragedy/so unfortunate for the autistic person. We're not always having meltdowns, put us in the right environment and remove your neurotypical expectations from us and we have a great time!
He's happy!❤
I think that this boy does not feel good while you filming him. Sometimes I think that he feels confused.
I like him very much and I wish him luck all of my heart.
Do people expect Gabe to be able to talk or day words someday,? I do not know anything about autism. Do they get frustrated by not saying words? Gabe is so sweet and shows so much love for u and ur partner and being outside. Hes just s joy. Thanks for sharing.

Love Gabe’s spirit.
I just looked that guy up and wow does Gabe look just like Bjorn when he was in his teenage years!!! U have a very keen eye.
I think of Gabe, and I think of a young er Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin ❤ Gabe is just so beautiful

Gabe seemed exceptionally verbal this time. Is this new or have you just not posted much of that? I loved it. He's trying so hard.
If I had the chance to be friends with Gabe, I would! Send my greetings to him and tell him he made me happy seeing him, please! ☺️
I met a boy named Gabe at the Fremont MI parade. They would be great friends.
His hair looks super handsome 😊
When you tell Gabe "it looks good" (referring to his hair) did he say "yes it looks good" then "got it"?So much love for you guys 💖 Xx
