This is what you're going to get until thay phase out the PS4 and you have to remember that the PS5 is still fairly new. They are without a doubt working on a totally revamped game utilizing the PS5's capabilities but they're not going to release 2 seperate versions (PS4 & PS5).

Can’t we make the game fluid make it look smooth like 2K not a fan of the game but the movement is so much more human like, not so stiff.

The new hair physics looks really good. They were really behind on that. But seeing that makes me think why can't they do cloth simulation for the uniforms. The new hair physics look out of place on the awful player models. Improve the player models and add cloth simulation to the uniforms, like 2k and Fifa.
....they've had cloth effects on the uniforms since like The Show 08 at least
@Shmuel420 Cloth simulation like 2k and Fifa. MLB The Show doesn't have cloth simulation on the uniforms. On NBA 2k the uniform is a separate item from the player model and has cloth simulation. In MLB The Show the player model and the uniform are not separate from one each other and doesn't have cloth simulation.
@@NickWtee .....I mean, the cloth on players in MLB certainly already moves. And them adding "uniform physics" isn't exactly on the top of my list for features that need to be added.

People might say that this game has stagnated recently, and they might be right, but at least it’s stagnated in a good place as far as gameplay is concerned. It’s still the best playing sports game out there and it has been for years. I’d like to see some more depth added (online franchise?) but I wouldn’t want them to start messing with the gameplay just for the sake of it

They used to have online franchise in the show 17, not sure why it was removed I loved that mode.
Gameplay isn't that good though how many perfect/perfect hits are still easy outs right to an outfielder? "line drive caught!" throws from the outfield still feel choppy and slow. Pitching animations still don't look right. Pitches like change ups, curveballs, 2 seam fastballs are all still useless in the game when these are very effective pitches in real life.
The best playing sports game literally is saying nothing with the state of 2k and madden

Here’s an idea. They work on making a season "dynasty franchise” where players pick the team they represent and build cards and stats by marginally improving them through a season.
When you search for a game they focus on giving you an opponent and you play two 3 inning games to simulate a series. When you complete a 162+ games since you might have opponents quitting on you or vice versa, you see if you meet the minimum with threshold of wins (let’s say 55 percent win rate) to be pooled in a playoff series
