To me, it's ultimately an issue of people just being decent people and learning to treat one another with kindness and respect, whatever one's race is. Now, I must concede: some person or group in Loudoun has been sending seemingly anonymous, racist / white supremacist messages, so that has occasionally been an issue, to be honest. Schools need to be open with 100% in-person learning with an option for remote learning if there is a medical condition that puts the kids or parents at high risk. Get the kids back in school. In my experience, a lot of people who share my complexion have used avenues like CRT to make people feel guilty about a past oppression they had nothing to do with; almost like “guilty by association” or inheritance, in a way. I’ve seen too many experience deep feelings of guilt and shame undeservedly. On a side note, as a resident of Tennessee, on May 5th, the Tennessee State Gen. Assy. passed a resolution banning/prohibiting the teaching of CRT in Tennessee public schools. An additional measure was, the withholding of state funds for any public school which would teach CRT.

As a latino and father of 2, I think schools should start teaching respect for others, themselfs, the country and its institutions, instead of victimization, envy, false pride and calling for others "privilegies", if they really pursue the formation of real and successful citizens and not the crybabies they are forming now, anybody should know history for not repeat the same mistakes and move on, not for keep people stalled
For example: Hispanics, if a brown hispanic sees a white hispanic the racist one is not the white but the brown one and if that hispanic needs help reaching something up high they see the white hispanic and assume theyre just another gringo which is racist and little does the racist non white know is that the gringo speaks spanish! Hm must be from spain? Or something. Like im really brown. And my uncles very white he has freckles and. I just look like any other non white hispanic. If youd saw us both together walking alongside each other you would think we are friends but in fact im his nephew and hes my uncle. The man who refered to what the school board said that only hispanics and blacks be discriminated against and not indians or asians is wrong. Im glad the man pointed that feature out. Because really there's a lot of tensions going in between blacks and hispanics as well its not as calm as one would think especially if youre ignorant and because you arent hispanic or black. The LCSB has a list for those of us that oppose CRT. Well parents have a LIST of our own. Every School Board member is on this list for the horrible mismanagement of our children over the past year. They have 1 job and they have failed. My kid is sitting in a classroom watching a teacher teach to a computer screen. Schools need to be open with 100% in-person learning with an option for remote learning if there is a medical condition that puts the kids or parents at high risk. Get the kids back in school. That should be their only focus. Not CRT, which does nothing but divide us further. CRT has no place in our schools or being forced on the teachers.

In my experience, a lot of people who share my complexion have used avenues like CRT to make people feel guilty about a past oppression they had nothing to do with; almost like “guilty by association” or inheritance, in a way. I’ve seen too many experience deep feelings of guilt and shame undeservedly. I’ve seen this cause many non-brown people to take up arms to advocate in the same, harmful way - like what’s happening to parents in this video who are being targeted. To get support from your own “side” (for lack of a better term) is one thing. But to receive support from the alleged “oppressed or wronged” group seemed relevant - and possibly even important. This was my thinking here. But, who am I? I don’t know everything. I just know what these families are experiencing, and the source of that experience, is not right and causes my heart a great deal of grief to see and know. That’s all.

On a side note, as a resident of Tennessee, on May 5th, the Tennessee State Gen. Assy. passed a resolution banning/prohibiting the teaching of CRT in Tennessee public schools. An additional measure was, the withholding of state funds for any public school which would teach CRT.

I almost guarantee that CRT will not stop, even if 99% of the population does not want it. There is an agenda.
It's bizarre that CRT was adopted wholesale, as if it was manna from the sky, without any question from teachers, principals and school board, righter after the summer race riots.
Anyone who objectively looks at CRT can see it is racist. It claims to fight racism with more racism. Instead of focusing on lifting others up, it advocates for dragging people down.
I wanted desperately to let my little go and enjoy school like I did growing up, but it us becoming increasingly clear that I need to learn to homeschool. I may not be a trained teacher, but I will be prepared to help my child learn reading, writing, math, and character.
