Eww, novice. The game shouldn't give you an ending and just say "Do advanced". I'm really disappointed that there's no incentive at all to play advanced other than knowing that you did it.

If I have any hope of approaching this 8-minute time, though, is this 2-death route basically assured to fail? The deathwarps are pretty quick, as it's just 1 screen, pit, 1 screen, pit, which needs to offset fight time w/ B&C (I'm also trying to see if it's quicker to kill Clyde 2X or both guys in one screen). The deathwarps take about 20-25 seconds off the return to Blade, IIRC. Eventually, I'm gonna run SDB as well, since I had fun watching you and Darkwing trade off WRs :D Thx again!

Moose, Benny&Clyde, and Tex are not required bosses for progression in the game. They're just there for money and information. Sometimes people do "All Bosses" speedruns of this game, but it's not too common.

Question for you, as I'm attempting a sub-10 min RCR run myself: Is there any possible time benefit from picking up Dragon Feet (by getting the $7 from Benny & Clyde) before fighting Rocko at the warehouse, then 2-deathing back to Grotto Mall for Blade? Even if this is a break-even scenario or a difference of 1 or 2 seconds, it would benefit me greatly, as I'm having a lot of trouble killing the 4 guys in the warehouse without Dragon Feet (Rocko, surprisingly, is no issue). Thanks! - Will

I can see where The Friends Of Ringo Ishakawa got the style from.

The NWC in 1989 was amazing! That's when I played this game too, and knew I had to own it. I felt like my life was complete when I got it.
