After the movie ends Paul Reubens, Catherine O'Hara, & Danny Elfman reprise their Nightmare Before Christmas roles as Lock, Shock, & Barrel, respectively.
This great surprise was soon followed by another HUGE one (Dead Man's Party played live with Steve Bartek). Amazing night!!

I don’t understand why the voice actor for Oogie Boogie hasn’t done more work. His voice is fantastic. It’s a shame it’s not recognized more.
When little mermaid was being filmed he went to do the voice of the crab and did not get it. However 30 years later when they did something like this show but for little mermaid he got to do the voice. I was at the show in the video and the little mermaid. Had a blast at both. Honestly there were more adults then kids in the audience.
@@josemhernandez1974 not saying my children havent enjoyed watching the classics but this type of thing dosent bring them back to their youth like it does us my entire collection of disney VHS was purchased from the moment my grandmother found out my mom was going to be giving her the first grandchild and when i got to be about 13-14 years old i told my grandma that all i wanted if she died was the collection she started because of me... If she were alive today she would be over the moon with taking my kids to see something like this with me probably giving it to me as a gift to share with my kids a memory from my child hood the same way i share the old vhs tapes with them and talk to them about her

Pee-Wee (Paul Ruebens) was also in Blues Brothers. He was a waiter. He played Penguin's father in Batman Returns. Forget who he played in Mystery Men. He voiced Bat-Mite in a Batman cartoon and Riddler in the Robot Chicken D.C. Special.

Yeah, now that you mention it, we know very little about Lock, Shock, and Barrel. A spinoff about them could explain so much about them (Where they came from, why they appear genuinely insane and dangerous rather than just darkly quirky like everyone else in Halloweentown, how they came to join up with Oogie, what they ended up doing after the movie, etc.)!

I saw Oingo Boingo live many times. Danny Elfman’s voice got better and better over time.

This movie as well as the Home Alone movies have always been my favorite. I figured out last year that Catherine O'Hara does Sally's voice and I just now found out that she also did one of the voices of Oogie's little boys. I always thought Helena Bonham Carter was Sally... I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that it was actually Catherine O'Hara. What a lovely wonderful woman! I LOVE her!

My mormon family didn't like nightmare before christmas, thusly as a child I never knew it even existed! Then one day, little old me plays Kingdom Hearts....and am like "What?? There are no skeletons in disney!!!" Then my parents told me "Oh yeah there is...really bad movie though you wouldn't like it." I FELT BETRAYED WHEN I WATCHED IT! BETRAYED! Always a favorite now and forever.

She’s also in Schitt’s Creek, which is actually her best role in her life (in my opinion). I love that I finally get to see her shine for years at this late stage of her career.
She also played Lydia's Mom in Beetlejuice. Tim Burton loved having her do the characters - versatility personified.
Another fun fact,Paul Reubens was also on Batman Returns for those who didn't notice at first.
He was Oswald's Father.

more stunning was the fact while he is portrayed differently/not just for a quick moment, he was in several episodes of gotham also playing the father of a penquin, and it was GREAT.
