One of the best episodes of the series - not a big fan of Genesis but in this case it was a perfect match. Was really thrilling and the fact that the killer's knowledge of Magnum's past was never explained gave me the chills.
The best episode. A proper thriller showing elevating the show to its elite status. The music worked so well and got me listening to genesis. They used another song from the same album called the Brazilian in another episode in the same series/season. Phil Collins must’ve had a golden handshake with Tom Selleck in the late 80s 😎
One of my favorite Magnum PI episodes that are like watching a mini music video added in. The other is "Laura" with guest star the legendary jazz singer Frank Sinatra, in his last acting role known on film or television. Both episodes features music by Genesis/ Phil Collins. In "Laura", it is the song "Tonight, tonight"... "Magnum PI" meets "Miami Vice"!
It always made me think of Miami Vice. 80s smash hit playing during a dramatic scene giving you that epic vibe of moments that are suspended in time and could never be repeated
Same here. But only about Magnum P.I. they didn't have too music montage on their show compared to Miami vice, because they wouldn't be able to show all show on DVD.
Yes and I love this one and Laura, also a Genesis song ( Tonight,Tonight, tonight. But one of my fav' is Going home, season 6. The most touching part he's ever played. They play Joe Cookers cover of "I Shall be Released".
@anubispis, Oops... my bad... it was supposed to be Season #7, Episode #6... You are quite welcomed, Mahalo. Thank you for the correction, for your viewing, and your comment... Heh... and I live right here in Hawai'i, as a Tom Selleck/ Magnum PI fanboy... ;)
I've tryed for so long to get this video on youtube, but I could only find it on IMBd and u can't share it. Thanks for putting it on. To bad the sound isn't better.
@evachazzy, You're welcome, I appreciate your comment very much. Sorry again for the awful quality... due to copyrights, the images had to be rather distorted, to be passable... for now. Indeed, this show was born in the right place, at the right time/ era, when music and TV were always the best place to hear, see awesome and exciting shows, it alone, a total gem... the 80's rocked!
Best and most darkest episodes of the series.

Uno dei miei episodi preferiti
It's a pity they didn't do a TV-movie reunion of the original Magnum P.I in 90's. Some shows had done that.
The best episode with coma
Uma das melhores séries do gênero, com genesys de trilha sonora então, arrasa!
it really is
P.I. vs VICE
Best of the 80s
