The reason we like reactors to wait is because if you don't know the group well enough, you don't appreciate the change ups. Besides, we Home Fries love to anticipate your reactions to Home Free's surprise moments. It's become more common for Chance to take over bass so that Tim can run wild wherever he wants. Lol! We always talk about Tim's 5 octave range, but Chance (I've read) has a 4 octave range himself. And it's getting harder to tell who's covering the bassline if the cameras aren't on them. What can you say? Home Free is a herd of magical Unicorns that spreads joy like glitter everywhere! No matter your mood Home Free has a song for you! 🦄❤
Exactly why everyone needs to wait to hear this one. They all take their voices to the highest and lowest of their abilities! Chance is the second bass of the group
Chance was the bass singer in another group called Street Corner Symphony and has a great range. When he joined Home Free he really was a great addition.
People hear Tim and think that's a normal bass... when he is technically a contrabass. Adam Chance is a bass-baritone, with a STRONG baritone range and a decent bass range, while also being able to cover low tenor. Chance really is a secret weapon for Home Free.
And now you know why you had to wait!! You wouldnt have appreciated it as much if you had listened to it earlier. You are so much fun to watch!! Highlight of my day!
The lady who wrote and sang this is Cam. These guys all sang this IN HER KEY.....including Tim. Chance takes over the bass when Tim sings lead. Check out Unchained Melody and listen to Chance's doo-wop bass job.
This is about as "pop" sounding as you'll get from Home Free and they do it with their usual unconventional style. Yes Chance can sing bass when Tim goes higher !! He was such an awesome addition to the band...the versatility of his voice is just awesome !
A young female country artist named Cam had a hit with this. The guys are singing this in her key. So they needed 3 tenors and Tim said "OK I can do that." "Chance you got bass."
Yes this is the song with surprises. It's incredible. Home Free is incredible. All the switches they do is amazing. Super sung. The really great Adam. Home Free is THE group for me. They are so great, but still keep their own identity. No egos.
I take real pleasure in Chance, and am so glad he joined Home Free. It's not just that he "can" sing in a range from low tenor to bass. It's that he sings well, with real character and flavor to his work that makes it shine in its own right. Really, there's not a singer in this group that doesn't deserve to get solo bits, because they're all that good.
NOW you understand why everyone advised you to get to know Home Free before watching this video! That look on your face when Chance hit that low note-PRICELESS!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This song is one of my favorites. So glad you waited to react to it. Your surprise at hearing the switch ups in the voices was great. Tim can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. And Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. The original song is sung by a woman Cam, so they sung it in a higher key to match the original.
This is my favorite Home Free cover song besides "How Great Thou Art" & some of their Christmas songs. Just remember, "Chance" was the BASS singer for "Street Corner Symphony". His range isn't as wide as Tim's but it's still great! The "change ups" are the reason Home Fries ask reactors to wait until they KNOW the guys & what they normally do in the group before they react to "Mayday"! This just shows how incredibly talented these guys really are!!!😊
I had never heard this song until HF sang it. I love the way they switched it up and they all sound so great. It is one of my favorites! Enjoyed your reaction....as usual.
Shout out to flight attendants! Don't know if you've already hit their cover of Folsom Prison Blues, but you'd get a taste of Chance's range in that one too, besides being a really cool rendition. And Tim goes subwoofer shaking.
And now you understand why you had to wait for Mayday. 🤣 It's best to know the guys and their voices and general roles in the group. That way you can drop your jaw when Tim comes in with Tenor. Chance always helps out with the lower stuff. When Tim takes higher registers, Chance is there to handle the lower ones. Chance is great!!
Watching and listening to you, AB, I’m always chuckling. This time I was laughing at your response & surprise you had about different ranges of voices. Keep up the good work. And, listening to Home Free.
It’s funny because there are indications on the videos you’ve already seen-for example, Tim hits some beautiful high runs in “Ring of Fire” and Chance digs deep in “Folsom Prison Blues”-but people tend to forget because it isn’t as in-your-face as this. I love watching reactions to this!!! These guys are incredibly versatile and astonishingly talented.
Time for some Chance leads. “I Can’t Outrun You “…5 part harmony, Chance directed the video. “Cover Me Up”, and let the video play out as there is a surprise. “Yours”. Then “Blue Ain’t Your Color “, Rob lead, shared with Chance. It’s a Motown style arrangement, with Temptations style choreography.
all I can say is "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay" try it it will blow your already blown mind you ain't seen nuttun yet. It is Tim + Tim + Tim + Tim and it is truly crazy
And that would be why you needed to wait until you knew who you think usually does their role. They all can do everything and yes Adam is taught them all how to beatbox also! Yeah they're just made of orange juice! Love your reactions babe!
If you think about it Adam Rupp, with his vocal sounds, could be considered a baritone ( and possibly a bass) also. I also read somewhere that Rob can do some baritone too ( unconfirmed so far ) .
Chance has Bass range. Tim has worked with him a lot since he joined Home Free to refine his range that much more. But he was the bass singer in the prior group he was a part of. And Tim is just doing Tim things. A true freak of nature. In the best way possible.
You my brother I so enjoy your reactions to my favorite group ( Home Free ) You are a great talent you’re self . I am a 70 yr old white boy but you are my man 👨
I love home free they are so freaking amazing! You should check out some of Tim's solo works and other calabs. And the is a song Rob and Austin do together that operatic and just wow 😲.
Fantastic reaction and this is why us "Fries" asked you to wait. It's simply to see your reaction to these little surprises. Can't wait to see more. By the way, Adam Chance was the bass for his last group. Chance also has a ridiculous range, it's just Tim can go lower. I am sure Tim is working with Chance to expand that depth though. :)
For a display of Tim's range, listen to his solo "Will you still love me?" ... He laid down numerous layers and everything you here in that is pure Tim... Facebook has the actual video of him performing. Prepare to have your mind BLOWN!!!!
I wonder when someobe is going to review Adam 'freak of nature' Rupp's range. Think about it. His range must be pretty sick to pull off some of the beatboxing and percussion sounds he's respected for. He keeps up with the high's AND the lows
I was patiently waiting for you to do this one! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I was really hoping you would get up from your chair to contemplate what just happened. Makes me laugh every time!
As others mentioned, someone (Chance) has to do the background bass runs while Tim is singing. I loved it the first time I saw him actually get to sing a bass part.
Chance was the bass singer in the group he was in prior to Home Free. I believe that he and Tim have been sneaking around in the background of a lot of songs weaving their basslines together to make that fabulous blending background that makes the whole group sound so good !
There is absolutely NO!!!! “talking lightly” for their version of this!!! There is a reason ALL of the “Home Fries” warn the reactors to wait on this one. The majority of reactors STILL aren’t fully prepared!!
Yep, the switcheroo! We just don’t like reactors to do it too early before they know their voices. Tim went high and Chance went low. Chance used to be a bass in his first group so he’s capable and having him in HF allows Tim to go to this tenor range more often and Chance to take the bass. Pretty cool. Love this song. I didn’t know it until HF did it. Good reaction AB!!🥰😍
Yup, you were 100% ready . Amazing thing about this five man group is they have three bassists: Chance, Tim, and Adam. Five tenors: Chance, Tim, Adam, Rob, and Austin. Five beatboxers: Chance, Tim, Adam, Rob, and Austin. Along with those roles they have a ground shaking seismic bass in Tim, a freak of nature vocal percussionist in Adam, a sky high tenor in Austin, a silky soulful tenor in Rob, and a sultry salt of the earth baritone in Chance. First, I thought you said this group was only five guys and how did they find so many guys with the same names? Yeah, five guys, Tim, Rob, Adam, Austin, and Chance. Thats only five.
This was why everyone told you to wait for this, lol. They're all amazing and never put any of them in a set box. Home Free still surprises me after almost five years of listening to them. :D
You have to go see them on the stage. You will float out the door with your heart filled with glee. Oh, such a night. And Adam did his drum solo too. My daughter and I will see them again when they are close by. I'm a bonafide HOME FRY. Went outside to wait for my daughter to bring the car around and played When a man loves a woman on my phone and people were drawn to come to hear it. Would have played more but my phone was almost out of juice.
Ok! Yayyyyy!!!! *like a glove* you got it. 😉🥰🤣 Cam is a country artist, not pop. And they sang in the same key as Her. And they killed it! Now, you can do snowglobe or my Maria.
Thank you AB! Glad you did this one! It's FANTASTIC! May I please request your reaction to these latest releases.- "WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW" TIM FOUST cover "BRING HIM HOME" AUSTIN BROWN " AMAZED" HOME FREE " " UNCHAINED MELODY" Thank's again! Sending love from South Georgia ♥️😃🍟
AB I love watching your reactions. I now make it a point to have my glass of orange juice while watching you. You are so entertaining I look forward to your reactions. I love all genres of music but in a die hard Home Fry and Pentaholic
Too funny! I watch a lot of Reviews of this song and finally people are coming around to the fact that Home Free can't be put into a particular Box. Good review. Thanks
Yay!! Finally!! I’ve been checking for this reaction and I was so excited to see it today! It did not disappoint either - thank you for alllllways making us laugh, I love your expressions 😆
I just love you! You're so fun to watch these videos with. I'm an older recent widow and you are such good company and bring us such great music. Thank you so much! A "flight attendant"! You crack me up constantly!🤣 And I can tell you have a very good voice yourself!
Well well well, look who finally decided to have his mind blown! Hi AB! Now that you have seen the awesomeness that is Mayday, I think it's time to listen to Tim's and Austin's solo work. So very incredible! Austin likes to cover old R&B/Pop covers and Tim likes singing Doo Wop if your interested...
Hope AB brought his umbrella, snorkel and waders for all the orange juice!
Absolute truth 👏
🤣🤣 nice lol
Flight attendant! Love it! Serving the oj! 🤣👏👏👏👏👏 singing in the key of Cam all of them. Impressive right!
@@dianadickerson749 🤣🤣
I sure did 🤣👍🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Facts 👍🏾🔥🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Absolutely, LOVE the unicorn comment!!
I didn't believe in unicorns before I found Homefree!🦄❤
These guys are so talented! Love your reaction!
❤. I can’t hit “like” enough times.
Exactly why everyone needs to wait to hear this one. They all take their voices to the highest and lowest of their abilities! Chance is the second bass of the group
This is nowhere near Tim’s highest ability. It’s a great cover but he has plenty left to give that wasnt in this performance
Both Tim and Chance have about a 5 octave range. The talent in this group is astounding and wonderful.
Glad you waited for this one. Your face was priceless. The Mother of Orange Juice overflowed your glass. 🔥🍊
Any time you hear Tim singing any solo or higher part Chance takes the bass part! Thanks for waiting! That was a fun payoff!
Chance was the bass singer in another group called Street Corner Symphony and has a great range. When he joined Home Free he really was a great addition.
Year 2 of the Sing Off. I think they came in second. Some of it's on TH-cam. It's fun to see Chance in his former group.
People hear Tim and think that's a normal bass... when he is technically a contrabass. Adam Chance is a bass-baritone, with a STRONG baritone range and a decent bass range, while also being able to cover low tenor. Chance really is a secret weapon for Home Free.

I would LOVE to see your reaction to Tim’s solo cover of Stay. The old school vibe is so FUN!!!
100% yes!
His head will literally explode when he realizes how high Tim can go
Or "In My Room"
Yessss!!
100% Tim’s solo works
This was a glass of orange juice with vodka and a splash of cranberry juice. They really mixed things up on this one. That's why we love these guys.
Tim can go even higher. Listen to him sing My Maria with Austin. He’s amazing
Snowglobe!! 😉😉
Agree. Great version of My Maria
Yes this is the song with surprises. It's incredible. Home Free is incredible. All the switches they do is amazing. Super sung. The really great Adam. Home Free is THE group for me. They are so great, but still keep their own identity. No egos.
Their cover of “Unchained Melody” soon Please!
Tim can go high = a little confused
Chance can go SUPER low = brain melting out his ears
I take real pleasure in Chance, and am so glad he joined Home Free. It's not just that he "can" sing in a range from low tenor to bass. It's that he sings well, with real character and flavor to his work that makes it shine in its own right.
Really, there's not a singer in this group that doesn't deserve to get solo bits, because they're all that good.
Tim and Chance have always covered bass upwards! Glad you're finally learning they are all vocal acrobats!! Love your reactions AB xo
This is probably my favorite so far
Watching and listening to you, AB, I’m always chuckling. This time I was laughing at your response & surprise you had about different ranges of voices. Keep up the good work. And, listening to Home Free.
Ain't ya glad ya WAITED to do this one? 😂 the man listened to the HomeFries !
The flight attendant comment was a crack up AB. Digging tunnels was good too!

This was great!! I knew you were gonna be shocked at their switch-ups...👏👏🤣...i myself, thought i was hallucinating the 1st time i heard it🥴🥴😅🤣
Your face at Chance’s low note! I died!
Definitely need to hear Tim solo sing Will you still love me/stay your head will explode!!!!

Thank you! Appreciate that
Love this reaction! See why you needed to wait? So glad it was an unexpected gem for you sweetie!
The big guy has that same beautiful tone as Vince Gill ❤️
They can do it all, together and seperately, but still together! 😁
I love home free they are so freaking amazing! You should check out some of Tim's solo works and other calabs. And the is a song Rob and Austin do together that operatic and just wow 😲.

Home Free isn't the only good a cappella group. It's just that they are really good. Thanks for an entertaining reaction.
One of my favorites by Home Free. ❤🔥
My favorite is " Helplessly Hoping " check it out. Great reaction AB!
Austin & Rob - Guys, we need three tenors to do this right
Tim - I got this, Chance you have the bass
Chance - Ok
Adam - Ba-dum-tiss
Tim’s range is amazing. None other like him.
I wonder when someobe is going to review Adam 'freak of nature' Rupp's range. Think about it. His range must be pretty sick to pull off some of the beatboxing and percussion sounds he's respected for. He keeps up with the high's AND the lows

LOVE the versatility of our amazingly talented fellas!! 🥰
Dang, I love you! Enjoy your journey through Home Free! They will never let you down!
Ty soooooo much for your reaction!! The orange juice is flowing!!
He is tenor/ bass . He is a great singer. He and Tim been inlownote contest with other bass singers.
Chance was the bass singer in the group he was in prior to Home Free. I believe that he and Tim have been sneaking around in the background of a lot of songs weaving their basslines together to make that fabulous blending background that makes the whole group sound so good !
The first baseman is playing catcher, the pitcher is in center, the catcher is the designated runner... Just all outta wack 😆
Ooh damn he stopped right before the low part haha can’t wait to see this one after his initial commenta
I lv this !! I’ve been waiting to watch Mayday w you AB !! They did not disappoint!! I’m so happy 😀we are officially Home Fries !! 👍❤️🥰
So ready for this one. Be waiting and looking every day hoping it was posted. Dang 4 hours gonna feel like four days lmao
There is absolutely NO!!!! “talking lightly” for their version of this!!! There is a reason ALL of the “Home Fries” warn the reactors to wait on this one. The majority of reactors STILL aren’t fully prepared!!
LOL Love your reaction... NOW you need to react to a concert version of this.... Can't wait to see your face when you do it...

The reverb on the note at 7:03! Omgoodness!!
Great reaction as always AB! Keep them coming!
❤👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍
They have many voices thats what makes them so talented and probably the best vocal band out there.
Born in the USA is a great one too!
Yup, you were 100% ready . Amazing thing about this five man group is they have three bassists: Chance, Tim, and Adam. Five tenors: Chance, Tim, Adam, Rob, and Austin. Yeah, five guys, Tim, Rob, Adam, Austin, and Chance. Thats only five.
Your reaction is priceless!! They can all sing super well! They are ACAPELLA....LOL Love your channel!!
Now it's time for you to react to Home Free and Texas Hill at the Ryman singing Dremer live performance, now you're in for a ride dude. 🤯
This was why everyone told you to wait for this, lol. They're all amazing and never put any of them in a set box. Home Free still surprises me after almost five years of listening to them. :D
Chance was singing the bass backup to Tim in "Man of Constant Sorrows". He came on as Baritone/Bass.
I just recently found these guys and fell in love, it's fun watching you enjoy them.
Your reactions never disappoint me❣️Thank you 🥰
Happy you finally caught this one!
It really helps Tim when he is running the show. chance is the guy backing him up.. I love it.
You have to go see them on the stage. You will float out the door with your heart filled with glee. Oh, such a night. And Adam did his drum solo too. Now, you can do snowglobe or my Maria.
In this song they have 3 tenors, a baritone, a bass and fancy drum kit with lots of little trick sounds.
Buckle up - it’s go time
AB, Don't ya just love it when these groups BAFFLE the your Mind?!!!!!
Thank you for introducing me to this group. I never heard of them until now. 😀
So happy you were ready for this!
Rob and Austin just did 2 country singers do Opera, might surprise u?
Showcasing More of their God-given Talents!!!
It's so often forgotten that Adam Chance was the bass voice for his previous group Street Corner Symphony.
I love this group and can't wait to see them touring again!!! Thx for the reaction.
Well baby, that's why you needed to wait they can all do it all!
Thank you AB! Glad you did this one! It's FANTASTIC! May I please request your reaction to these latest releases.-

A good one for you to see Tim's range of vocals --- Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow --- he sings all the tracks that are put together for the song.
Rob would sound fire on a Ne-Yo cover
Hey I enjoyed your reaction!! Great job! These guys are super talented. I catch you on the next HF video!
Too funny! I watch a lot of Reviews of this song and finally people are coming around to the fact that Home Free can't be put into a particular Box. Good review. Thanks
Can't help but Love them!!!
Yay!! Finally!! I’ve been checking for this reaction and I was so excited to see it today! It did not disappoint either - thank you for alllllways making us laugh, I love your expressions 😆
