    Great advice! I am doing a lot this weekend: Throttle Acuators, Valve Covers, Evolve Vanos Caps, Fuel Injectors, idle control valve, fuel vent breather valve, spark plugs. I did the Rod Bearings @ 84K I am now at 88K. 2011 E93 Alpine/Fox Red Extended. I have limped 2 times and decided to get everything addressed since the original plan was Valve cover replacement. Your vid is so timely 👍🏾🙏🏾😊. I don’t do the work myself, but I have a BMW MasterTech Indy shop that I have been with for literally 15 years he worked on my E46 M3 Cabrio 😢(I miss Her 😢). Anyway, I will be riding with peace of mind and the Biggest Smile in Cali! Thanks again 🙏🏾😊✌🏾👍🏾. I really enjoy your channel I’ve been watching for over a year 😊

    It’s personal choice but the e88’s look them are from the 90’s and unless it’s a legit race car…... Previous wheels were clutch. Love the content, very informative and chill, a trusted source for M info.

    I tell anyone who’s looking at buying one to have at least $10k set aside for all of these things. Could be more, could be less, but if you don’t have it set aside you are setting yourself up for failure. Good video

      @@ThicWhipswhat did you get the e92 m3 for ? you have over 20k on parts upgrade added alone , if you got m3 for $20k now you are at 40k all in unless you got it for $1-5k than maybe makes sense for the na engine this project is is not feasible for someone like me since Im not a mechanic or incline to do the work so that means I would have to pay a mechanic in the upward 10-15k for labor alone lol and don’t have a big garage with a lift to do all the maintenance work and repairs even if I did I’m To busy doing other stuff I would rather put that money as a down payment for a good use m340i/x or g80 m3 turn key and go don’t have time for all that bs however your m3 is really nice

    I recently imported a RHD E92 from Japan so it came with zero maintenance history. Your spreadsheet has been amazing and my pile of parts ready for install just keeps getting bigger. But it really feels like a good $5k will do /every/ maintenance item and you cannot beat the value of the platform.

  • @Kreemy95

    You need to change the fuel pump with the integrated filter as well. Injectors fail usually because the fuel filter that is integrated into the fuel pump is dirty and then no longer works. Or a workaround is get the NRW fuel filter kit.

      I agree the maintenance cost and repair for a use e92 m3 is over the top you can take that money and use it as down payment toward a new gen m340i/x -g80 m3 or that Lexus rcf which is turn key and go no worries about repairs and maintenance BS 😴

      @ThicWhips  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Evolve caps have a zero percent failure rate. While I understand why you would think the mporiums would be better, you’d actually need a failure to occur for these caps to be considered “worse”

    I just picked one up a month ago
    Did a PPI and came back clear aside from front rotors...
    Took it to my mechanic after purchase, had perished bump stops, leaky valve cover... got it PPI at a reputable mechanic supposedly but got a refund!
    Either way, getting valve cover gasket replaced and doing the Mporium Vanos covers whilst they're in there. I'll look at DIYing a NRW cover in future!
    ACL Rod bearings were done in February with photos and receipts, throttle actuators supposedly were fine when checked. Motor mounts were done in February too

    Hey honest question for you. Ive been in the market for a minute for a E92. I would love to get your thoughts on the below
    - Do you think its better to get a cheaper 100k mile ish E92 for $20k - $25K range and put 10k in maintenance into it right off the bat or buy a lower mileage one 50k miles for $35 - $40K and just drive it.

  • @_Demonsthenes_

    I adored mine but if you look at one of these and think 30k is expensive for a 10 year old car. trust me wait until you see the repair bills these rack up. My first 6 months of ownership the clutch blew up within 2k miles. 3k miles after I had the rod bearings and engine mounts replaced. 5k miles after that the passenger cat went bad. All of which cost me about 12000 dollars. This is on a vehicle i spent almost 30k on with only 70k miles. Again, loved the car but if i could go back in time id have bought a corvette and saved 10k.

    If you got the e92 m3 for $1-5k then maybe would make sense but I’m seeing like $17-25k high mileage since most people would have to pay a mechanic to do the labor = upward $10-15k on labor alone, according to your spread sheet another $20k on parts alone , most of us are not mechanical incline or have the garage with lift but then I’m to busy with work/life stuff im sorry but if I had that Money I would rather use it as down payment for a new gen or pre own bmw m340i/x or g80 m3 turn key and go duck all this bS this is a rich man tinker toy box restoration project lol
