Hi, thanks for the tutorial, very smart and quick explanation. But I didn't find in my DavinciResolve 19 Studio the function "follower" right clicking on ''text'' to replicate the second flicker text effect, so I couldn't finish. Can you please tell me how to find that function to activate the modifieders?

I love Resolve, but even after using it for 3 years I loathe animating text in it. This is one area that Black Magic needs to completely revamp. There’s no rhyme or reason as to how the parameters are laid out and it’s very easy to get lost when you have to dive deep to find a setting.

100%, most of the time someone needs to tell me about a feature for me to even know it exists. So many obscure settings and features buried in menus and right clicks.

I have a problem with the last one. I really like the effect but when I try it on a paragraph, it lags a lot. Can you give me tips to optimize the effect or remove the lag entirely? That would be amazing if you did. :)

Yes! You can enable smart render cache by clicking the playback menu in the very top left. Sometimes it doesn’t work perfectly but when enabled it should load the animation into a cache so it doesn’t need to keep rerendering it. Hope that solves the issue 👍

This was great, thank you! It’d be useful if you spent slightly more time on how you can re-use these… that was probably the biggest draw card for me.

Thank you! To re-use the templates you can drag the fusion compositions into your power bins on the edit page. It’s essentially a folder that is available across your projects to drag and drop from. Definitely take a second to look into power bins, huge time saver!
