Guys, an idea for boot drying, take 2 smaller water bladders capable of holding boiling water place them in your boots at night heat will dry the boots and you have boiled safe drinking water in your bladders ready to use in the morning?
You guys are very professional, a lot of other people would bash brand X to push their sponsors product! Another reason to watch the BRO Crew! Well played!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: I usually just throw on the same work cloths the ranchers, or farmers, wear while out feeding the livestock. Game animals are use to seeing this and many times ignore it allowing the rancher, or farmer, to get pretty close. I like to hunt feeding time, morning and evening, because game animals are use to seeing that. Give animals what they expect to see and you can get away with a lot of stuff. I've even been known to put on a little alfalfa scent to complete the picture. However, this only works while hunting around ranch or farming land.
For tick and other biting bug prevention, do y’all treat your clothing/gear with permethrin type of sprays beforing heading out for the hunting season?
Just watched your video during my lunch break. Thanks for taking the time to inform us on which clothing you prefer. It helped me big time in what I am getting.
I see you guys wearing what i think is the Sawtooth often...is this more of a everyday piece for you guys and not part of your backcountry kit? Thanks!
Good video! Personally, I wear Smartwool, Icebreaker, Patagonia, Sitka, Kuiu, Kryptek, and most recently added First Lite to my arsenal. I am not a fan boy and often mix and match my camo for hunts based on the clothing that is best suited for the conditions that day. That said, I LOVE my First Lite merino! I wear it 90% of the time now, and most of my other base layers are hanging in the closet. I also really like the Fusion pattern, and find that it breaks up my outline and blends better with my surroundings than the others. I am anxious to pull the trigger on a pair of the guide Lite pants, since I felt like the Corrugate Guide pants were just a little too warm for me in early season hunts. Keep it up fellas! Love the channel and wish you best of luck in 2019!
Useful info. Answered questions I had about some of the First Lite products that I couldn't seem to find through their website or anywhere else. Thanks!
2:30 AFAIK Sitka has been experimenting with some sort of odor prevention technology on their synthetic pieces. There's a great interview with John Barklow from Stika on the Elk101 podcast where he goes into deep detail on the synthetic vs. wool choice. And it really depends on the individual (how much you sweat, your body's PH balance), and the type of hunting and environment you're in.
Thanks for the information guys, would love to get your take of video equipment and editing. I just purchased a Go Pro 7 black and am starting out filming my adventures for my you tube channel. Located in North East Oregon and am buying some crispi's in La Grande at Alpine Archery soon.
Wal-Mart has 4way stretch Nylon/spandex camo pants for $21..!!!! They dont have the best pockets or zippers or Cut but,,,, they do work good...... They also have the wrangler hiker pants whick are 4 way stretch too for $21...
Bought a pair of Crispi boots. I don't like them. They are for sale if anybody needs a pair! They've only been on one hunt and I cleaned them super well. They are the Idaho plus GTX Size: US 8 MENS
Great video guys epic

Is your puffy jacket a uncompahgre or brooks down sweater?

Really appreciate the supportive feedback!
Use the silica packets out of your mountain house meals to help dry out your boots. They’ll last a few days.

We will be this Spring, in the Fall we do not have any issues with ticks.
Do you use the product during the fall months when elk hunting?
I would enjoy seeing a boot video! Great content, and keep it coming!
Great video! Like videos like this in the off season!
I wear First Lite Fusion Camouflage, and Kuiu solid color pants. The Kuiu pants fit like pants, and the hip vents are awesome. A tent review please.

Woodland Camo is the best. That would be awesome if first light had gear in it because I would for sure buy it.
Thank God I'm not alone, fresh socks for every day +1. Guaranteed every trip.
Do not forget the crocs
Or a video on the bows and Archery equipment that you use.
How many layers would you use for a Mid-Winter elk hunt in Az?

I wore the Wranglers last year on an archery deer & Rifle elk hunt in Northern Utah last year. They work very well and especially for the price
Grip 6 makes a great belt that is flush.
I think bows and calling gear would be a mash up lunch time special.
Let's talk about tents, bags, and pads!

Amazon Prime wardrobe for trying out GTX boots before buying... I ended up buying the Scarpa Kaliash GTX - fit my foot like OJs glove !!!!!
I'm kinda concerned that your foot is shaped like OJ's hand. And what are you doing with his glove?
