I think Prince is the Baby Elephant that escaped the Circus and was running up Buffalo Speedway in Houston Texas , behind the Summit events Arena. It was Around that time , 1987-88 . He was All over the News , for weeks. Houston fell in Love with him . I worked at the Summit events as a teenager, it bothered me seeing Circus animals caged and Neglected. First time I saw him since he was a baby. Thankyou , Paws Love to You n Prince... I had so many Pets , as child Horses , dogs ,Cats, Rabbits , Squirrel, etc.. So Happy to See Prince🌹
My dad was the real estate director for the City of Houston at that time. He acquired the property for Houston for the Summit. I went to the opening when I was around 12 yrs old. My parents made me get an autograph from Debbie Reynolds. I didn't want to and didn't want to bother her, they made me anyway. This many years later I feel as if my Heavenly Father directed it all to bring us Joel Osteen's preaching and the church of Lakewood. I feel personally blessed they occupy what used to be the Summit. My dad is gone now, but I always have thr messages of Joel to encourage me when I need it! I didn't know about the escaped elephant in thr 80's, I will look that up. I have always wanted elephants to be able to live in many acres close to me just to see them be free.
Just came across this video 12 years after it happened. I hope he's still living his best life. I loved when he pulled the grass up out of the ground, he knew to slap it against his chest to get the dirt off. Tell me animals don't understand to most human behaviors in their own surroundings, he proved they do. Everything he touches now is a gift. 🐘 💘

I nurtured four beautiful trees on my side property and one in the front, they were mature trees. My next door neighbor went crazy and had them all cut down while we were away. He called a tree service and said he was the property owner. We got the bill from the tree service, which I never paid. Fortunately he was committed and died before my husband could kill him. Oddly, he always said he loved those trees. He just went nuts.
I love how elephants inspect everything. They are so attuned to the ground. So glad to see Prince in an environment that respects and fulfills his needs.
He is so overwhelmed by his newfound love and freedom. I cannot bear to think of his prior life. That was not what St. Francis wanted. I will sleep better for knowing that beautiful Prince is at last free and loved. Thank you.

He went to a new barn and is with other elephants and has access to acres of land to roam on. Not everything that looks negative is. If you looked deeper you would see they Rescued this elephant and gave it a wonderful home.
Ned loves the hose! I love how elephants are so cautious, inspecting everything in their environment. I can tell he's been through it in the circus, but it won't be long before he's gallavanting around like Nick and Sabu. So glad he is no longer in the circus industry.

Great that these magnificent animals can be placed in safe homes & be cared for & have companions. Yeah, I was thinking that he would've gotten into the water had the guy not said anything. I know they were being supportive, and that eventually he would understand that their voices mean good things, but at first? No... his captors' voices meant pain and whatever else negative that they did to him.

Joseph Le bard There is another video about their whole operation. Plus you can pull down the description box below the video, it also explains this was a temporary barn used just for his arrival. He went to a new barn and is with other elephants and has access to acres of land to roam on. Not everything that looks negative is. If you looked deeper you would see they Rescued this elephant and gave it a wonderful home.

Ned loves the hose! I love how elephants are so cautious, inspecting everything in their environment. I can tell he's been through it in the circus, but it won't be long before he's gallavanting around like Nick and Sabu. So glad he is no longer in the circus industry.

Looks like he was enjoying his 1st day at his new home/sanctuary.
Great that these magnificent animals can be placed in safe homes & be cared for & have companions.
GOD BLESS THESE GENTLE GIANTS & LET THEM LIVE HERE IN PEACE WITH COMPANIONS JUST LIKE THEM---SAFE FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD!

Yeah, I was thinking that he would've gotten into the water had the guy not said anything. I know they were being supportive, and that eventually he would understand that their voices mean good things, but at first? No... his captors' voices meant pain and whatever else negative that they did to him.
