MMA is a chemical that used to be used in acrylics, but was banned as it can cause health issues, but some cheap acrylics from China still use it as it is cheaper to make

07alauren ya I found sharpies are crisper color. i do lots with sharpies. i wish I could post picture to show u. check @fairytalenails5 on Instagram and I have some on there. you do same technique but use sharpies. message me on instagram if any questions
Sharpies are alcohol based markers (reason it can't be erased with water). It's why it the colours are more vibrant and reacts better when applying alcohol to it! :)

Suzie i Love how you use felt pens and not just the particular brand that's popular. Some people will swear you can only use Sharpie's, and they are not cheap... especially when you want to get a lot of colours. Thanks much for your videos

I love it, and I love how you think outside the box with art products. This technique would be a great backing for galaxy nails too instead of a sponge or brush because of the smoothness achieved.
I love that effect same as the watercolor, but much easier!! I have been a nail tech. for over 20 years.. I have with acrylic paints designed mini portraits on the nail... White lions were my favorite.. when you added the top coat.. It came to life. especially the eyes!! This is brilliant!!! I also use glass chips which is glamorous. Your local craft store, Hobby Lobby is mine.. I have many IDEAS I would love to share with you Susie.. which you remind me of Valerie Bertinelli!! I'm sure somebody has said that to you.. You could probably use yellow/orange/brown pens to get an old paper look and then stamp some words in there using black polish.
