NOTE TO ANYONE USING THIS TECHNIQUE OR SIMILAR TECHNIQUES: Just be aware of the colors you choose and how they mix together. The color wheel is your best friend here! Sticking with primary or secondary colors are some of the best ways to do this. Be careful when mixing complementary colors that are complete opposites on the color wheel. This will normally lead towards a gray/brownish color. Luckily these were very lightly pigmented so it didn’t get super muddy. But when mixing yellow/gold with the purple, it will turn brown or gray. But Suzie is a pro and handled those particular colors perfectly by being heavy handed with the purple and being light with the yellow. Bc it could have went left very easily and she controlled it like the boss she is! Lol. So just keep in mind what colors mix well together and which don’t! Great job once again Suzie! U always turn it out!
I can't do nails anymore, because I have a bone marrow disease. I get extremely bad pain and my fingers lock for minutes at a time. Can't move them . However I still love the nail Industry, it's in my blood. You are fabulous so creative. I love your personality and channel .
I’m sorry you’re going through this. Is there any hope for a donor to help you? I know marrow is extremely painful to test and so there’s sometimes not a lot of people willing to donate. I’ll help if I can!
@@lunarsugar That's so kind of you. Right now my oncologist is still studying my blood to determine what the course of treatment will be best for me. Bone marrow is going to be the last resort, because of how painful it is. So I am just taking it one day at a time. I feel fine most of the time I have had chronic pain for years so I have adapted to it. I stay determined not to let it take over my thinking. But thank you so much for your kindness and concern if in the future I need help I will get in touch with you if that is ok. Teresa thank you .🌻
They did a video (I think with Liz from the nail hub?) Where they discuss all about how they came to run this business together! Totally recommend watching it
Omg, how come no matter what Suzie does all those things that she uses to create the nail design it comes out to be so gorgeous and perfect. Every time I watch her videos anything she does with nails looks so satisfying, like those things were meant to be the way she created them.
If it's new and trending Susie knows it, I think your channel is the best for showing and knowing how to create beautiful nail designs. Beautifully done Susie :)
OH MY GOSH SUZIE!!!!!! I can't believe I've not seen this video before now! I was just having a browse through your older vids for some inspiration and I came across this gem! What an effect this gives! 💜💜💜💜💜
This is so relaxing and educational! I love your tone; it's like when my mom or grandma taught me how to sew, cook, and embroider with how gentle you are, but it's about nails!!! I'm preparing for enrolling in cosmetology school, and these videos make learning so much more fun!!! Have a wonderful day, Suzie!!! 🦄💐🏵🌺🥀🌹🌸🌼🌻🌷
Susie, these are stunning! What I love best about you is your humbleness, your willingness to admit you're always learning and how charming you are when you surprise yourself. You seem like a lovely person.
You're so inspiring Suzie. I've been a fan of your channel for a while and started doing my own nails at home thanks to them. I dont know if you realize how much your words relate to more than just nails. Some things in your videos have inspired my everyday life, and when I'm having a bad day from chronic or mental illness I remember your attitude towards learning and how you make even mistakes into beautiful works of art. You are for sure the Bob Ross of nails!! We are so lucky to have you!!
I enjoy watching your videos so much....you're a great teacher & so creative! It's great to see ink paints in the nail art industry too! Just a wee tip, in case you were unaware, the reason your purples are turning brownish when you put yellow on them is because they're opposites in the colour wheel and they muddy one another. So if you keep those or other colours that are opposite away from one another, they will remain their true value instead of muddy. Keep these coming Susie!!
I looove inlays for how much depth you can make, so I love the idea of bringing the inks to the top! 😲💜 I thought it'd look cool with the inks dropping down the cliff, like how Suzie did the metallic French set, but it makes sense that you could file it off 🤷🏻♀️ I love how Suzie shows her mistakes and treats them as opportunities for learning and troubleshooting ❤️❤️
I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and they’re all really informative especially with your tips and tricks you share. When I then attempt to apply your designs in a practical setting, it all works in real time. You’re a phenomenal instructor! If you instruct classes for certified/licensed nail techs I’d be honored to travel from the US and attend. Tomorrow I’m attending the IBS Show in NYC. I’m excited to see all the new product lines offered for nail enhancements as well as natural nail services. 💅🏻🎨💗 CarolAnn Nail Artist/Nail Technician The Back Room Nail Studio “I Do Nails...What’s Your Superpower!”
Beautiful work!! I’m not in the nail industry but I love to watch your videos. The passion that you put in every desing is so inspiring and relaxing😜😂 Greetings from Argentina!!! 😍😍
I would love to see this in teal, gold and black. Kinda like those marbled patterns you see that are SO popular. But muted down on a clear nail with the inks all flowy, I bet would be lovely.
I love that Suzie admits that she's getting really good at not having the air bubbles with gel. I love seeing amazing professionals who admit they're still learning and practicing their craft. Beautiful design, Suzie!
Thank you Susie for another inspirational video. I love inks because it’s so different each time and the result is amazing. I haven’t been able to do my nails for a while now as they all came off due to Psoriasis. I’m due to start Humira injections which will hopefully bring my nails back so i love to watch you and keep up with the art. I felt so excited watching this video and have decided this will be my first design I do when I get my nails back. Thank you for keeping hope alive and being such a a lovely human being who is honest and open. I wish I knew you. You explain things so clearly and never make out you don’t make mistakes and it’s important to learn from mistakes. You never stop learning which makes it such fun 👏🏻❤️💅🏻
@Carole Clare I''m so sorry that psoriasis has taken your nails. I pray Humira is helping you. I have to give myself Enbrel injections twice a week for psoriasis. I had very long, beautiful, strong nails before I suddenly and mysteriously became gravely ill. I repeatedly developed pneumonia that lasted for months at a time and that snowballed into so many other serious health problems. It took almost 3 years to figure out and it was a complete accident! All my Drs. were stumped but a visit to my dermatologist for something unrelated was the answer to my illness. Turned out, psorisis was causing infections in my lungs! I'm telling you this so you are aware that psoriasis can be the cause of so many other symptoms or health issues. Anyway, It destroyed my nails, too. 'They were paper thin, peeled easily, I couldn't grow them past my quick and they hurt with any kind of pressure on my fingertips. Enbrel helped but never returned them to what they were. I missed my nails so much I looked into acrylic and gel. After lots of research and videos (Thanks, Suzie!) I decided to go with gel because of the smell/fumes were not as harsh on my lungs. I use an efile to file the gel down close to my nail bed but always leave a thin layer on before rebuiding because I'm afraid of damaging my nail bed if they are naked. When i cut my nails, I can tell my nails are still super thin. I've been doing my own nails for a year and LOVE it! So much so, I wish I could do it professionally. I know how wonderful and uplifting having nails again can make you feel and I hope you get there soon! Take care.
@@BrynnBXer Hi Bren thank you for your reply. You know it helps so much to share and reach out to others in the same situation. You feel less alone. I have truly felt desperate at times but my determination has paid off. My nails are slowly growing back but the Psoriasis was pushing the nail up at a 45° angle so used forms and acrylic to build up between the gap then file the acrylic down creating a nail. I also believe it trains the natural nail to grow straight. I was intrigued by what you said about Psoriasis affecting the lungs because I've been coughing every morning for 2 years now and my voice has gone deeper and breaks up. Also, for me I have had rapid weight gain around the middle since starting injections 2 years ago and although the specialists say they havn't heard of that you only have to go on forums on the injections and others are saying the same. Let's face it I dread to think what they are doing to us but what choice do we have. At least we both love doing our nails and have discovered a new hobby. I wish you all the best honey, take care 💓💅
Amethyst nails! Absolutely stunning! As for whether a cold studio space could contribute to the bubbles in nail gel: I have watched plenty of synthetic resin videos and tutorials, and I know for a fact that warmth helps get rid of the bubbles and improve the flow of resin - to the point where it is common practice to use a heat gun or a welding torch on uncured resin to pop the bubbles! Now, I am not suggesting that you weld gel nails XD but I think nail gel is quite similar to synthetic resin, and that warming up the nail studio might indeed help with managing gel. Also, you can definitely blame the existing bubbles on the Canadian winter! :D
I learn so much from the gel artists you've collabed with, especially Liz from Nail Hub. But gosh darn it for entertainment purposes I absolutely would rather watch you do gel! You're still learning the medium so you make happy accidents and it's relatable and you just run with it. I think that's what art is really about anyway
