At the beginning of this arc I hated most of the characters involved and I thought the pacing was slow but seeing Lucy fight it out and win against a far superior celestial wizard by summoning her powers for the first time got me hyped knowing she's not just a character on the team to balance things out. Seeing Wendy unleash Sky Dragon magic was hype as fuck too. Jellal giving Natsu the flames to kick the living shit out of Zero. Also the Blue Pegasus guild was annoying AF to me at first but by the end I started to warm up to them and I actually saw the importance of them and their various and unique powers. Erza getting the name Scarlett from Jellal was a flashback that made me tear up because even carrying that name to this day it means she still loves him and even when Natsu was fighting to get him out of the custody of the magic council she had to make the sacrifice and order everyone to stand down and let them take him, not knowing if she'd even see him again. JUST WHEN HE REGAINED HIS MEMORY OF HER. Then when she was bummed for a while and Wendy's guild dissapeared in front of her eyes, who was there to comfort her? Erza. Such a damn good arc. I don't care what anyone says, Fairy Tail has great storylines and character development is very central to the focus of the show.
Just started watching this anime and I like this opening more than any of the other ones, so energetic and the amazing pace it has like how it just goes from being so energetic to epic such an amazing song!

Quick spoiler warning before I start if you haven't watched Fairy Tail, I do highly recommend watching it, especially if you're bored in quarantine. I loved so much of this series, from its character development to its music (I seriously can't find one time in this series where the music was bad, except for some of the ending songs at the end of each episode. Are some overused? Possibly, but it doesn't mean that they're outright bad, anyway back to my point). The humor is very on point for a lot of the series, this is also one of the few anime series that I know doesn't just have the main protagonist be completely invincible and stomp through every enemy (looking at you DBGT and Super). There are some moments where it is "The Natsu Show", but it makes sure that it doesn't last for too long. And seeing said anime protagonist weak at something as mundane as riding in a vehicle makes Natsu seem much more human than say Goku for instance, who doesn't really have a weakness like that. I know this series constantly gets the complaint, "Friendship is everything!" and "The series where nobody dies!", if you're looking for a series that isn't like that then it's your loss cuz a series shouldn't be immediately judged by how "kiddy" it can be. In reality, this series is pretty deep a lot of times, especially when you talk about Zeref, Acno Logia, or that kind of stuff. I really only had two main arcs that I didn't like: the Tartaros Arc and the Neo Oracion Seis Arc. I don't know why I didn't like the Tartaros arc, something was off-putting to me. Part of it was probably something to do with why they waited so long to do anything outside of Mashima not writing them in. It kinda felt like they were just dropped in out of nowhere, though they have technically been there since the beginning and just didn't do much then. The Neo Oracion Seis was worse imo, it felt like they tried to redo their original introduction from earlier (which I liked that arc as it progressed), but then give them a massive power boost. I get that it's been seven years since then, but they've been locked up for most of that time, how did they get that strong? And then that group that attacks Fairy Tail at the start of the arc (I can't remember their names for some reason except for Co Co), which were reprints of the Edolas versions with minor changes to their personalities. This whole arc was basically a weird entanglement of the Edolas and Nirvana Arcs, which were both solid in their own right. I also had some issues with how they concluded the last season (WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS). Zeref was such a cool concept of a character, a nice twist on immortality. But then they kinda made it boring how he is defeated, cuz apparently Mavis needed to love him more than she did before. Then they brought in Lucy's ancestor out of nowhere, I was fine with the five Dragon Slayers coming through the Eclipse Gate explaining how they appeared in the present time, but I'm left questioning why didn't Lucy's ancestor do anything until now (outside of irl reasons)? Then she explains a way to simply get rid of Acno Logia, which then surprise, surprise, he was able to control the time rift somehow. The final season was doing so well until those points, but I know it's hard to please everyone when you have to end a series. Fortunately, from what I read of the Hundred Year quest so far, it seems pretty good and I hope they make it into an anime soon! If ya made it this far, thanks for reading! Fyi, the key of the starry sky arc (or Neo Oración Seis arc as you called it) isn't cannon, so at least that's a plus.
