i can't believe baywatch had a cancer reveal during a WCW crossover. that's some great writing.
Subplot A: Having wrestlers work out on the beach and start a feud, leading to a literal bash at the beach.
Subplot B: Give one of the main characters skin cancer, spreading the word about the dangers of sunbathing.
Baywatch was weird sometimes.

Regular Baywatch has got nothing compared to Baywatch Nights in turns of weirdness by the beach.

It happened often in the 90s, I wrestled my neighbor for a parking lot between our houses, I was beating the crap out of him and was just about to slap on a figure four leglock when his faction made the save and started beating me with nightsticks! His faction then put me in handcuffs and took me to who I presume is his manager who said that a stipulation in the contract said I had to go to prison! Then in prison I had to wrestle in a lube on a pole match (stuff on a pole matches also happened all the time in the 90s), but that's a different story!

The wcw beach vignettes are just a tad better than this episode of baywatch
The rec center backstory sounds like the plot to the A-Team episode Hogan guest starred in.
Baywatch is on Hulu, so I decided to check this episode out again because it's been years since I watched Baywatch, period. They did actually show the pinfall for the Savage/Flair match (it was right after the diving ax handle), but it was a wideshot and it was obscured by people around the ring. Hogan won his match against Vader by (according to Wikipedia at least, I haven't had the WWE Network for well over a year to check the actual event in question) escaping the cage rather than pinfall.
7:35 - Technically speaking, that would potentially be viewed as being emotionally compromised, which is discouraged, but I’m not sure if there’s a straight up rule.

I think that this episode was shot months before it aired. I had read somewhere that a lot of the wrestling footage was used from Bash at the Beach 1995, which explains why Vader was in this episode. Now that I think about it, were some of the scenes from this episode shot while the pay-per-view is going on?

To be honest. For Leon, I would have watched the episode of "Boy meets world," where he played the dad of one of the former bullies. He basically played himself I.E. Vader, but it was a pretty good episode.
I got to see Vader in WCW when I was a kid...I think it was in Anaheim? I'll have to dig that story up from the adults I argued with on the way home about wrestling being real! That night Sting was wrestling some jobber and a huge crate came to the ring as a gift for Sting. It had a red bow on it. Sting needed a crow bar to open it and when he did VADER came out!!!! Then I was treated to an awesome brawl inside and outside of the ring. I met Z-Man after the show who was my WCW favorite for some reason. Anyways great memories and Vader was one of the greatest bigs ever!!!!
