- I purchased a Puig Touring Screen for my BMW R1250GS.
On this video, I tell you how it was to install and how it performs on my GS.
I purchased it from here:

Look at all those screens!!!! Good test. I feel like wind protection is so critical on a long ride or road trip. It's easy to underestimate how much the wind can wear you down over time.
Yeah the standard screen did not offer enough protection on the highway trips. I had to put this on before the big Tassie tripe earlier this year. made a big difference reducing fatigue.
Thanks for the video. How is the visibility with the tinted touring screen? I can't tell from the video looks alright but want to confirm.
It is dark. You can still see through it, but I am still looking over it when riding. If that is a concern, I would get a clear one as they work quite well.
Nice string test. I tried using cooked spaghetti. Didn’t work out so well.
Tried the same. But kept eating it before I got it to the bike.
Bloody great test with the wool 😂😂😂😂 not just a pretty face are you!
I stole the idea from Ford Vs Ferrari (great movie). In hindsight, I should have made the wool strands longer.
Good one, Matt. At least ypu didn't string us along 😅 Ride well. Cheers
String us along? I like it, not a lot, but I like it, 😂

Lovin the dad joke mate. Made me smile.
Hi Matt, I have just installed on my GS 1250 the same Puig screen but clear version and I am satisfied. My question: when riding on the highway do you think it is necessary to install the metal reinforcement brackets to help reduce wobbling of the screen? Many riders on youtube think so! I think it is ok without them at 60-70 mph. What is your opinion? Thanks, Marc, Quebec, Canada 🇨🇦🏍😉
The only time I feel it needs the reinforcement is when I am on the motorway near larger vehicles (especially trucks). It shakes quite a bit then. It is something that I will most likely do in the not too distant future as I do abit of touring on it.
Great video Matt. It for sure looks much better in black. :)
Thanks mate. I do like the look of it. Works well on the big highway trips.
That's very clever way of testing airflow, I normally use a wind tunnel with smoke streams 😂
I would've used a cigarette and a fan😅😅 I'm a dinosaur 🦕.
@@Moz42 you know prices of cigs these days? A wind tunnel might be cheaper! Hahaha
Ford Vs Ferrari movie gave me the idea. If you have not seen it, check it out. Great movie.
Seems like a nightmare for night riding
Yes. If you are looking through the screen.
I have nothing to say but good things about Puig. Every screen I tried performed marvelously. Great job as always, Matt.
Thanks Eric.
I like the way you can lift it up or down. They make the ride so much better, can't stand if the helmet strap is choking you because of the wind Matt.
It is the excessive wind noise that wears me down. It never used to bother me. But these days it does.
Looks even better in person! Great review Matty
Thanks for that. It definitely contrasts well with the white paint.
Nice mate the dark screen looks mint 😎👌
Thanks mate. It had a baptism of fire on the Tassie trip. Glad it held up with no real issues.
Nice Matt, looks good
Thanks mate. It has inspired me to get the black engine guards to go with the look as I quite like it.
