I may be missing something. When I went to the website for holistic and integrative health care specialist program it stated it was not affiliated with AHNA. It also states that it is not credentialed by ANCC. So does completing the program still count towards the required CE's for taking the holistic nurse certification exam?
HI, the integrative health care specialist program is unknown to me. That doesn't mean it isn't a valid program. Our certification examinations are all nationally accredited and ANCC Magnet recognized. To meet the requirement for the CE hrs. eligibility requirement you need to take any CNE program that will build your knowledge, skills, and expertise base in holistic nursing, such as communications, spirituality, intention, presence, nutrition, healing therapies and modalities, etc. If you want to have us review a course to see if it meets he requirements please contact us at info@ahncc.org. Have a great day :) You can also take a look at CNE courses that we know would help you prepare for the exam. More information can be found at www.ahna.org/Shop/Specialty-CNE/Foundations-FOHN or at www.ahncc.org/resources/ongoing-educational-opportunities/
