I was diagnosed with cancer about the same time I started watching your videos....about four years. Your videos have entertained and informed and have been a great source of joy for me during this tough time. Your personal story has made me feel for you and your situation and how you’ve worked your way through. I am especially enjoying these copart videos. I used to be a backyard mechanic and this takes me back. The challenge and rewards of doing your own work is awesome. You don’t know me but I consider you a friend. Your inability to get those last bolts without getting creative was the reason a wobble head was invented. they are a true PITA!

Bought that same Impact Driver from Harbor Freight friday. Wanted to see if it would help with my rear wheel bearings. I took one off with hand tools last weekend and it took me pretty much all weekend to get it done. Using hand tools causes bolt heads to strip easily I found out. That tool made the other wheel bearing a 30 minute job. I cant stress enough if you are getting into fixing cars an impact driver should be your first investment.
Those new mirrors look awesome. Really liked the music in this video too. Watching this channel has me now doing some simple work to my cars, mostly just filters and oil stuff but it doesn't seem so scary once you've watched other people do it on TH-cam like Randy. Good work as always 👍

I probably wouldn't put synthetic in the truck as well. I don't think synthetic oil even existed in the 70's. I think your making the right choice in motor oil for your 1977 truck.

wow, very surprised it has the turbo 350.....its a really good trans, but normally I agree with you. it should of had the heavy duty turbo 400, which was almost bullet proof and used for all heavy chevy trucks, ambulances, ect........

Nice 2017 Ford mustang I do Like the Ingot Silver Paint Job on it looks awesome 😎 if that Ford ever gets scratched I have the paint code it is UX that if it is Ingot Silver and if you want to make that 1977 Chevy bonanza look it did coming out of the show room floor I have that red name paint you might be looking for it’s called Cardinal Red /Crimson Red 5106,514,714,73,769,WA5106 is the paint job you might be looking for & I also have the white paint code from that year as well it’s called Classic white/PolarWhite the paint code is : 10,3465,872,972,WA3465

*should have put An aluminum pan on it , that chrome one doesn't make it run any faster and it will how ever get all scratched up and rust on you pretty easily and look kinda tacky then but it'll shine like hell until it gets scratched up. Nothing at all wrong with running synthetic transmission fluid in a transmission. that's actually one of the smartest decisions you could make old or new vehicle. going to have to take that cross member out too in order to get the back bolts out, and why aren't you wearing any gloves? you know those Nitrile gloves are like $10.00 for a box of 50 pair and well worth their weight in gold when it comes to clean up time. OOOOH hell you got the Earthquake XT. thinking about saving up for one of those myself, supposedly they aren't the 1,200 foot pounds they claim but they are still easily 1000 foot pounds which is still better than any of the others currently out for sale. WORTH IT! That was about the least messy removal of the trans pan i've ever seen done on a 350 turbo before. yeah all those 350 motors from the 70's and most of the 80's ones also were 350 turbo transmissions, or as you call them TH350s the TH400's were usually only put on the big block motors back then, Auto Zone and Advance both sell a drain bolt you could have put in that thing to drain the fluid out easier next time though. They are like $3-$5 also worth it. That missing bolt you have you can grab off of another trans i'm sure someone has one that you could yank one off of somewhere like a junk yard or something i usually just let mine drop into the drain pan when i change mine. that way when i am ready to put the bolts back in they are all clean and lubed up and usually go right back in that way with no trouble. you certainly don't want to get the trans pan bolts cross threaded. but the easiest way to remove that cross member is to remove the trans mount bolt, Jack up the transmission then simply slide the transmission cross member back to get to the pan bolts and that makes it easy to put it back when you're done. $40k for a FORD? WHY? i'll never buy a new car. the best i'll ever have is one that is 2 years old. that's when all the depreciation is gone on it and you start paying the REAL price for it. Nothing at all wrong with Flowtech headers. Dent is not supposed to be there, and if i remember right you need block hugger headers for that truck HEADMAN makes a set that are pretty cheap that go right down the sides of the block. i'm pretty positive you'll need the block huggers because the regular ones won't work around your engine mounts and fit in between the motor and frame rails* so your name is Randy eh? Jim here nice to meet you! :o)
I didn't put the pan on it... I said in the video the pan was for a TH400 and this is a TH350.
These headers said they fit this truck, so I guess we will see. Thanks for the comment.

I don’t think long tubes are going to bolt up to the down pipes you have now... short tubes would have (probably) but not long tubes. So I’m guessing your going open headers to the exhaust shop.

Easy way to tell a th400 from a th350 th400 has modulator valve on passenger side th350 will have one on the back.
Also the 13 bolt or 14 bolt pan :)
Turbo 350 has a cable for downshifting, TH400 doesn't.
