As an Oregon fan, I go to war debating/arguing with people that the 2001 Miami Hurricanes were the greatest college football team ever. I will get in the octagon with someone over that. That team was NFL level.

If you were a Chicago fan I’d think we were the same person. I too am an Oregon fan but numero dose goes to Miami simple because of the history. God remember how much fun college football was 2017 when “the u was back” the first year of the turnover chain. God damn that was so fun. I swear college football is more fun when Miami is good and the nfl is more fun when Chicago is doing well.

You would be wrong. Miami had a few games they struggled in during 2001. Struggles in the 1st half against the worse FSU team in nearly 30 years, BC was going in for the winning touchdown before Ed Reed scooped up a fumble and went almost the length of the field for a touchdown in the game in a 12 point victory for Miami. Also, Virginia Tech took them till the end. Lost by two points. Colorado beat the shit out of Nebraska worse than Miami did in the big 12 title game before playing Miami in the national title game.

@Bobby-ev8xp BC never led for a second in that game and INT are a part of the game, so how do you discount winners finding ways to win. Btw, it was an int and a hand-off, not a fumble. Also, Miami beat the breaks off of FSU 49-27. The fact that you're cherry-picking the first half is confirmation that you're grasping at straws.

@@UMPride9NCsbeating 2001 FSU was nothing to brag about. it doesn’t matter if Boston College never led. The fact that game could’ve been a loss on that drive is too close if you’re so great.

okay that team was crawling with hall of famers in the NFL but hear me out... they almost lost to virginia tech in one oft their mediocre at best years and it was probably considered a rebuild season for their fans but Miami barely got out alive.
2019 LSU speaking of being on pages, is on its very own page with big letters and even braille bro that LSU team is the greatest college football team that has ever laced em up and walked out on the field. idk why people only wanna talk about ed reed and ray ray lewis but ed reed cant be everywhere at once and Chase is a perrenial pro bowl type dude, probably hall of fame bound, and Terrace Marshall was and is good enough to be a number 1 at a lot of schools but definitely a number 2 receiver anywhere.
but Justin Jefferson is basically the Jerry Rice of this generation and very simply cannot be and will not be stopped.
plus the comparison between miama 01s started quarterback and Joe Burrow is not a comparison whatsoever. that boy put his heart on the line in his senior year and now hes gonna win superbowls in the NFL. im even glad to see the begals finally get a core like that.
great team but yall would not beat that lsu team im sorry.
