Besides the size difference, you might want to stump up more for that premium model if you want the rotating bezel for skimming through Wear OS 4. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is also tougher, with a stainless steel casing - but besides that, these smartwatches rock very similar specs.
Battery life will depend on which size of Watch 6 you stump up for. Performance is the same on both Samsung Watch 6 models too, with the same Exynos chipset powering them. It's gorgeous Super AMOLED tech either way, plus full Bixby support if you're into voice assistant shenanigans.

I have the 40mm Galaxy Active 2. I have toddler's wrists too and prefer a discreet watch, so the GW6 40mm would be my preference. It would be nice to have a template to get a feel how the 44 mm would look on a small wrist, as the larger battery would be appealing.
I am most interested in the battery life and water resistance. My Active 2 can comfortably last 48 hours, GW5 users seem to struggle with 24 hours and that's with Samsung's recommendations to constraining many of the features to save power. The GW6 has a bigger battery but does that translate into a much improved run time? How will the 300 mAh and 425 mAh compare?
My Active 2 charges pretty quickly and there's generally an inactive point in the day when I can put it on charge for an hour. Maybe battery life shouldn't be a big concern.
The forums and channels raise issues with watches failing due to water ingress and this isn't covered under the warranty. I did see a Samsung response which indicated that they can be immersed in water but there shouldn't be any vigorous movement. So not suited to swimming? I've not risked my Active 2 in the pool, I'd love a watch that could track my swimming.
My active 2 just died after 2 years because water came in side the watch. My friend samsung 5 died just after 3 months because he went on a swim. It is very disappointing. I need a new smart watch and probably won't be samsung 6.

I'm still using my Samsung galaxy watch 46mm 2018 watch, is this worth the upgrade? My galaxy watch works perfectly fine and still runs smooth as butter so is it really worth the upgrade?
Since you would be getting to use WEAR Os on the new one I'd say it would be a good upgrade. I'm still using my Galaxy Watch 4 classic and it's still good for me so I won;t be upgrading but I think you'd definitely see a difference. I guess it depends on what you use your watch for and if its worth the upgrade.

I think the first anime I saw that got me really hooked on anime was either Metropolis or Naruto (yeah Naruto has its fair share of filler as well and sometimes the writing takes a downhill stumble but when it's good it's brilliant).
As a kid I did also watch the 4kids! dubs of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh but outside of having some pretty good and memorable opening themes I never really got that hooked on them.

I'm honestly waiting for the manufacturer who picks up "Bendyphone". Nothing maybe? Picked up a Watch 6 Classic as my 2015 LG smartwatch's charger gave up the ghost like 2 weeks after I started using it again after a bit to track sleep. Bloody hell. I did have two other choices too, but we'll see how this goes. Price wasn't too bad and can sell off the Buds2's that come with.

I have to admit I was hoping Samsung to come up with a bit more goodness! I am currently using a Fold 4 with Watch 4, but I am very bored of the watch already. I sort of like the phone but I am finding the Google account and Samsung account slapped into the mix then having to have a Microsoft account to backup photos from Samsung Gallery. I am starting to appreciate the Apple one account does it all setup.
Away from my split decision on where to go next I have to say that you are without doubt the best tech reviewer, love the no nonsense approach and the humour. I have been coming back time and again to see what your opinion is on the latest and greatest.
I wouldn't go back to iPhone if Steve Jobs came back from the dead. Apple has some nice features but overall is trash. Go back to apple so you can truly appreciate what android has done. Its what I did. Back in the day Android sucked until the Samsung galaxy 8 came out. That was the first time Android was close to Apple. Since then Apple has gone downhill and Android has slowly been moving past Apple.

I use all of Google services on my S23 Ultra. There's no point in using Microsoft to save photos when you can use Google Photos. Or maybe you should get a Pixel where it's pure Google everything.

Battery life on Galaxy Watch 4 is horrible 😢
I got the 44mm galaxy 6 and I am getting 3 days from it albeit the battery is on 1 or 2% by the time I am getting to charge it. Much improved from my apple watch 6 which needed charging daily. The 47mm classic absolutely drowned my wrist and I just couldn't justify the price increase for a rotating bezel which doesn't look that nice imo.
Samsung should add AR to their platform for watches but I've got some 55mm timepieces to reference. These classics I've been waiting for availability to pre order :(

I want a phone with fantastic camera tech, for both normal and low light.
It needs to have a good IP rating and needs to be fast charging (55W+).
Prefer not to spend a bag of sand on a top flagship but up to the £850 mark is probably at the top of my budget.
