I have travelled back and forth to EDM and have often scoped out this building. Didn’t know it had a funiculaire! Even Old Quebec has one right in the heart of their old city. Fascinating.
Hi Bandigraham. Yeah, this place is quite beautiful. The Chateau Frontenac in Quebec city is on another level... I used to live in Montreal so I've seen it a few times in my childhood on family trips up to Quebec city for Carnivale in the winter. Thanks and have a good one. Cheers!
Beauty of a building, wonder if it's self powered, guessing so with all that copper in the roofing, also very close to that funicular, building is most likely the power source for it as well mate ? 👍
Hi Von. Could be. I think that, if not now, than at least in the past. It may have gathered power and distributed it through to nearby buildings... just a thought, but who knows? It sure is a beauty though. Cheers!
Yeah I think so too, the larger buildings supplied energy to infrastructure and the smaller buildings and utilities around them. Pretty sure the corrosion in the roofing gives it away that it's not operating but the buildings with Gold roofs like the Iowa State capital etc may still be operational, who knows
Thank you Frankie.
💫
Hi Scott. My pleasure. It was a lovely day to poke around here and sneak a peek. Thanks. Cheers!
She’s a beauty Frankie, thank you for sharing ❤

@@Von_YT23 Oh yeah. That Iowa State capital building is on another level man!

Hi Filip-I. Yep... that's what I thought: a castle disguised as a hotel. Thanks a lot. Cheers!
Check out Banff Springs and Chateau Lake Louise...you can totally wander around inside...the interiors are incredible
Hey Nancy. Yep, they are both on my list to explore. Will have to wait until spring or summer, but a guy will get there. Cheers!
