Strandberg Design Contest - Alcohol Ink Color Fade

This is my entry for the Strandberg "Canvas Contest", where people should come up with a creative paint job idea for a Strandberg headless guitar.
My design is done with alcohol ink.

I like the idea and use of intensive colors. But what's your plan for the sides? Would you mask them and have a cut off from the ink blots or would you go all the way around? It would be probability hard to avoid nasty runs on the sides while making the top if left unmasked.

The sides could be left white, except for runs that are part of the front's design.
The sides can be covered with the ink, section by section (it's a balancing act). A heat gun can be used to dry the ink faster.
In case nasty runs happen, they can be corrected with a rag drenched in isopropyl.
I don't think I'll win, but one day I'll surely cover a white, flat top, rear routed guitar with ink :) (probably with the sides)
