    I'd go for these Bridgestone's folks. Because the Michelin CC2's are a directional tread pattern. Therefore, you are limited to rotating the tires between the front and rear. Not side to side like most other tires. That raise problems if you get a flat. This is common for all weather tires to be like this. However, Bridgestone Weatherpeaks can be rotated side to side like normal all seasons. That's a HUGE win win selling point in my book.

    Due to lack of full testing on the Weatherpeak, this video was the one I based my decision on when replacing the 1st gen Ecopia's on my 1st gen pilot. Due to the fact you said the Weatherpeak's blew the Ecopia's away, I got the Weatherpeaks on sale at Costco. They do not make the Michelin’s in my cars size. The morning after I had them placed on my Pilot, we had freezing rain and snow here in the Seattle area. The tires never slipped and inch on the way to work and the roads were really bad. Very impressed. Snow now has melted and I’m running down my usual commute roads. The steering response is better and the impacts over railroad tracks is much softer. So far a fan of these tires. We’ll see how they wear. Thanks for your video.

    Thanks Jack. Time to replace my Bridgestone Ecopia 422 Plus tires on my 2019 Camry. I loved the tires over past 4 years. But now, after 64k miles, safe time to replace these 70k tires. I had planned to buy the same tire, but just yesterday (5/17/23), I was told it was being phased out. After shopping around, two tire shops recommended the WeatherPeak. I found your video and want to thank you for encouraging my decision. I plan to buy 4 WeatherPeak tires for my 2019 Camry today. Also, Bridgestone is currently offering a $100 rebate! Thanks again for your review of this newer tire and it’s performance.

    Pulled the trigger on a set of weatherpeaks for my civic. Coming from the oem eccopias these are leagues ahead in performance. Comfortable, quiet, and handle well. Snow performance is good but I don't have experience with a winter tire or all season/winter to compare to.

    Weatherpeak of course competes with Goodyear WeatherReady, but the real competitor to me is the Michelin CrossClimate2. That tire is the state of the art for "all weather" tires. WeatherReady has not been updated, and probably lags behind the CrossClimate2.

    • @Wrang15
      @Wrang15 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I have ready ready on one car. They are good in snow and cold. In the summer eh they are ok. The Crossclimate2 does it all good to excellent all the time I find.

      How about wear though? I heard the CCs wear fast. Not good for a 4 season tire to be wearing fast. Means people like me get a year and a little more and they're already done.

      @@Wrang15 Weatherpeak has 70. I'll get 1/3 of that sadly. But it looks like the right tire to go with. Probably gonna be driving a lot in January - March and I'd probably burn through winters if I get them again. I think all weather is what I should go for. Probably get some in January.

      Just ordered the weatherpeak from Costco, looking forward to giving them a go on my crosstrek. The long tire life was a big selling point plus the weather in NJ is typically not snowy but I want one that will keep me safe on the roads when it does snow. If I ever find out how to revisit my old comments I’ll try to leave an update after I bring them to some ski resorts.

    Bought full set of these tires for my minivan. Very nice ride and handling except it started to produce whining tire noise around 35~40 mph. Did some research online, found multiple posts with similar complaints. Some people started that the noise went away at around 7000 miles. I will have to wait and see if that's the case for me as well.

    Bought a set of four of these tires just recently. Can’t say enough good things about them. So quiet and really good handling! The Thread on them looked sick to me and the Firestone rep. told me how good they are. Zero regrets.

    Very informative video. You should do a high level comparison/overview of tires consumers can buy at Costco for quick and informed decision making. I came across this channel when researching the many all season performance tires options for my 2014 BMW 228i.

    I looked quickly - but have you done a review of the General Tire (Continental Tires owns them and suggested it when I was looking) - it was an all weather that had like paddlewheel fins to .. well paddle the snow -- called the "General Altimax AW 365". I ended up with the Bridgestone reviewed here in the end .. but I was intrigued by the General Tire ones.

    I had a set of Ecopia's and they were the worst tire I've ever owned. I had to replace them at 50% wear due to extreme hydroplaning. Not acceptable. It's interesting that Bridgestone chose the WeatherReady to compare with and not the CrossClimate2. I have never seen a test with the WeatherPeak and the CrossClimate2 in the same arena. I think Bridgestone is afraid of them.
