I recently went to this temple a week ago!! Sadly I didn’t get the chance to get into the giant statue totally missed that because I had to hurry and get to my tour bus since they only gave us 1 hour to look……😒……but I was happy to feed the fishes, view the pond and waterfall, rang the bell, light some incenses and even wrote on the wooden plates and hung them.
@@NomadicGaijin i’m afraid I won’t get another chance until I get lucky again in the future because I waited 19 years to go to Japan and my dad‘s girlfriend was able to hook us up but that’ll be the only time she’ll do this deal because I went through a Vietnamese tour crew and I’m from America
@@NomadicGaijin I was also told I didn’t really missed out much in the big statute but at least I saw other museums especially the Aizu Bukeyashiki museum
It was very peaceful there, but I'm sure it's due to the lockdown. Do you know which Buddha it was? I might have to check it out the next time I'm in Japan.
On the weekend it's packed, especially when they have an event. But a random rainy weekday is the way to go :) The statue was a representation of the Amitabha Buddha. Definitely check it out when you can, it's an amazing place.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing
Of course, thank you for watching 😊
Wow 😳
must be cool if Buddha likes this :)
I enjoyed this very much. I liked how it wasn't crowded there that day 🌻
Thank you 😊 yeah this place can be super crowded on the weekends but weekdays aren’t so bad
Thanks for doing this video
It was a lot of fun, love this place
