Honey honey, how you thrill me, a-ha, honey honey
Honey honey, nearly kill me, a-ha, honey honey
I'd heard about you before
I wanted to know some more
And now I know what they mean, you're a love machine
Oh, you make me dizzy
Honey honey, let me feel it, a-ha, honey honey
Honey honey, don't conceal it, a-ha, honey honey
The way that you kiss good night
The way that you hold me tight
I feel like I wanna sing when you do your thing
I don't wanna hurt you baby, I don't wanna see you cry
So stay on the ground girl, you better not get too high
But I'm gonna stick to you boy, you'll never get rid of me
There's no other place in this world where I rather would be
Honey honey, touch me baby, a-ha, honey honey
Honey honey, hold me baby, a-ha, honey honey
You look like a movie star (look like a movie star)
But I know just who you are (I wonder just who you are)
And honey, to say the least, you're a doggone beast
So stay on the ground girl, you better not get too high
There's no other place in this world where I rather would be
Honey honey, how you thrill me, a-ha, honey honey
Honey honey, nearly kill me, a-ha, honey honey
I'd heard about you before (I'd heard about you before)
I wanted to know some more (I wanted to know you some more)
And now I know what they mean, you're a love machine Oh, you make me dizzy

Hi Suzie & Travis, I was watching music videos the other day & abba's honey honey came on. I had no idea it was that raunchy! it sounds like your normal fun, boppy abba tune, which it is. It ticks all those great abba boxes - fun toe tapping beat, glam over the top costumes, and the girls singing like angels. But the lyrics! As a kid when this came out I just loved the music & lusted after Agnetha (anna), as I think most of us still do haha. But it has a very hilarious adult side. lyrics like - "Honey Honey, let me feel it" and "Honey Honey don't conceal it" and then the girls pant in orgasm. it's a very fun watch, enjoy. Mike

Nobody can sing like the girls in Abba. Listen to that harmony. Outstanding vocals, World Class!
Simply the best pop group ever
Their pop sensibilities are second to none. Bravo these four talented Swedes
@mikesmithson6805 😉"European" Pop Sensibilities, to be more precise.
@@bachatamusica their pop magic resonated further than Europe FYI, it's worldwide
@@mikesmithson6805 😆Agreed❗But since I am originally from Western Europe....I just thought that I would add that detail in.
@@bachatamusica /@mikesmithson Yes sirs! All Well stated we all agree and connect.Cheers.
@@christianoazzuro6711 😊Yes, absolutely.....cheers❗🥂
From Sweden, grew up in the 70s. Abba and Sweet was the hottest bands around then. Great memories, fun times.👌🥂⭐️🌷
Thx, marvellous in carefreeness, benevolence, lightness it doesn't exist anymore... Abba had a few things unique. And also in their painful songs.
ABBA's carefree,positive perfumed aura!
Thank you.I so much enjoyee watching this!
Alwsys liked this song. ABBA was the first band I ever saw live in concert so that probably gives a clue to how old I sm lol
ABBA performed this song, behind "The Iron Curtain" (East Germany), which was adventurous at the time when the U.S.S.R. ruled virtually all of Eastern Europe. They also recorded a version in their native Swedish "på svenska ".😉💛💙
GLAM ⭐ POP !
❤🅰️🅱️🅱️🅰️... PLEASE MORE 🙏!
Love ❤️ from Chile 🇨🇱🤗👍
One of their very early hits from an era that Bubblegum pop and Glam rock were still dominant in the charts here in Europe. They progressed astonishingly quick in every step they took since then.A classic that also got transported to newer Gens cause of the 'Mamma Mia" thing.
Those bridges have incredible chord changes. My favorite parts of the song
Aaah, happy simple pop, in happy early times for them!
This is a great song, really nice video too, they all looked FANTASTIC...great song ..please do more ABBA ..much much more...
Guys I had a mad crush on the blond girl as a kid when I was like 12 .
She was my angel , the girl of my dreams.
Now like 45 yrs later , never married she's still my angel !
I don't care if she's like 70 yrs or more I still remember her like this.
God I'm so starved of gals like this ,where are they now ?
Sorry about that I'm not simping just wondering where are girls like this around today.
Fantastic outfits they don't make them like that anymore.
That puppet in the background is called a "womble" popular in the UK and Australia back then.
We all had a crush on her! 😀
That puppet in the background is actually a man in a Womble costume 😮🤔 The Wombles were a children's TV programme in the 1970's and they were the biggest selling recoding act of that year as they released quite a few records that were big with youngsters, so they would pester their parents into buying the latest single.
🇬🇧🤣
Yes, and the man in that Womble costume, if I am correct that it is Orinoco, is Mike Batt who composed all the Wombles songs but is best know for Art Garfunkel's Brighteyes and David Essex's Winter's Tale.
Great
Great song and reaction. Love me some ABBA. Did you know Frida, the red headed singer, absolutely loves clothes and went to design school to become a trained seamstress as a backup career? She was raised by her grandmother also a seamstress and as a child would help her grandmother by sewing too so they could make more money. She is a master knitter too. She made and designed many of their costumes. She made this snakeskin suit she is wearing here. Later Owe Sandstrom came to help but Frida was always involved with.the costumes. She even made Agnetha a bunch of maternity clothes because she hated the ugly ones for sale. Frida made her own clothes all the time. To see a real sultry video, please watch the video to the song "so long" make sure you do the one from either the live tv special "imported from sweden" or the live tv soecial disco show from Germany. Frida goes crazy in both lol
Oooh?!I knew she was into designing and had an involvement in Abba's costumes but didn't know all that background seamstress story!!!(and i call my self an Abba fan?!)I'm still learning, thanx!
@@christianoazzuro6711 I am still learning too! Lol. Have you ever been to a you tube site called The Frida Fan??? It's so good and lot's of information
@@christianoazzuro6711 I'm still learning too lol. Have you ever been to the you tube site The Frida Fan??? So good and so much information about her

I had a poster on my bedroom wall with the band in these outfits
You guys are 😎!
My absolute favorite group ever!
Please go on the ABBA journey and experience their talent and magic!
It would be great to watch your reactions to ABBA's evolution to being relevant up to the present.
Its allowed, both couples were married. (for most of their careers)
It was a womble in the background, google it!
I had no idea what the person just suggested regards the 'real meaning' of this song.....I can't get my head around that. I would have preferred not to have been told. lol ABBA were really launched to fame in Australia...they toured and had so many number 1 hits.
best regards from

"Honey honey" (1974)
very good and catchy song
It is from the post "Waterloo" era of 1974,
when ABBA was looking for its second success,
and the revival of "Ring ring", plus the singles "Honey honey" and "So long" did not achieve great impact
and they had to wait for 1975 with the approach of "I do I do I do I do I do"
and the definitive impact of "S.O.S." that will start your unbroken chain of successes
"Honey honey"
is from the group in which The boys on the one hand
and The girls on the other sing verses in solo responding,
as in the debut: "People need love"
and the following: "He is your brother"
and: "Love isn't easy"
"Honey honey"
also is the last song recorded by ABBA in swedish too
These is a TV perfomance in Germany 1974, with the smash hit "Waterloo" in first time
The costumes they use are Superheroes with superpowers,
they did it in 1974 from the promotional video for "Ring ring"
Note: the TV host introduces the girls as
'Anna Frida' and 'Anna'
ABBA had just won Eurovision but weren't massively famous
and since Agnetha was difficult to pronounce she uses 'Anna'
(just like in Eurovision) to facilitate ABBA's popular and commercial insertion.
in fact, in 1975 ABBA was not yet massive
and you can see Agnetha and Frida wearing their names on the back of their iconic cat dresses
.
PS: next reaction could be "Waterloo" (1974) ?
the live perfomance at Eurovisión in Brighton UK lo
Always great songs with amazing bass lines
As a very young man ... Agnetha ... naughty thoughts!
Fun song. Probably one of my favorites from ABBA would be their first well known song - they won the Eurovision song-quest with it called "Waterloo". Another good one where Bjorn does lead vocals and the girls backup would be "Does your mother know". They have loads of great hits though including: Ring Ring, Mama Mia, Gimme Gimme Gimme (which I think you've done already) ditto for The Winner Takes it all - Knowing me-Knowing you, Money, Money, Money, Take a chance on me, Super Trouper......
Must have been the year after winning Eurovision x
There are two bands that i simply love. The first is Abba the second one is all american rejects
The puppet was a Womble, aka the Wombles of Wimbledon common, the scourge of mid 70s UK.
0:54 hey abba Have 400 Million Songs Sold. Why honey honey?
Great song but i wish in these reaction videos people could listen right the way through THEN comment, pausing it during the song spoils it
Lol, so 70s. Was far too pop for me though. Came to appreciate them more as time went on. Remember the absolute hysteria. Extremely popular in Australia in my teen years. As a rock and punk chick, was hard to be into ABBA. Years later, sometimes enjoy some of their sings. Not this one!
Hey I guess their '74 metal glam-rock 'Watch Out" tune will do it for you.Story's is about a stalker btw.
Crazy to see a video from Germany (was it DDR?) and they can't pronounce Agnetha and Anni-Frid. Lol.
It wasn't German. I don't know what it was tbh.
@@grannym2880 but they spoke German in the beginning.
TV Programme was called 'Starparade" from West Germany fronted by famous German artist/composer/intrumentalist James Last and his orchestra..Very popular. That was 16th May 1974 where they did 'both 'Waterloo" (no1 hit) and 'Honey Honey" which was also a huge hit there(peaked at no2 and remained in the top 5 for 4 whole months). Agnetha was difficult to pronounce so it was suggested to be called 'Anna" for a start and that was to her awareness. The presenter mistakenly pronounced 'Anna-Frida") instead of 'Anni-Frid" for Frida.Twas just their international beginnings, that's all.
Whoever it was that suggested that these were raunchy lyrics or suggestive lyrics must think that Muskrat Love by the Captain and Tennille is X rated! I am 71 years old and perhaps listen to Donna Summer’s Love To Love You for what raunchy is (but still a great song though)
Listen to Agnatha’s LP. “ A” fabulous❤️❤️❤️❤️
Have you listened to Joni Mitchell? Check out the songs, Help Me and Free Man In Paris. I promise you won't be disappointed.
You want raunchy ABBA? (I do!)
ABBA "SOS" specific video (original TV video 1975 American bandstand performance)
And
ABBA "So long" specific video (Made in Sweden) Tv performance
Tantos êxitos
An intro that is 3 minutes and 40 seconds is way to long to watch for a reaction video, thumbs down!
