  • We got back on the 1962 F100 shop truck! It was time to drop in the sound deadening! You can do this on your truck cab for about $120 and a full day of work! This stuff is nearly exactly the same as the big name companies but a lot less expensive!!
You can find Peel & Seal at the big box stores like Lowes or Home Depot, it's in the roofing department.
This shop truck has been off and on for a few years, but we'd like to get it done and drive it to some of the bigger shows next year. So we're back on it and trying to get it done in between other cars, swap meets and drag races!!
Follow me on IG @chaddilacdesigns to see all the swap meet scores and vehicles we purchase!
We buy tons of parts and cars, email me directly with any leads!

Pampered Chef makes a very nice 2 ended wood roller that works great for this. Although it's best to buy 2.. one for the wife. I've used peal n seal for sound deadening for many years. Just finished by sons 86 Iroc with left overs from a roofing job. LOL

I’d recommend the foam type sound mats also. Cheap Amazon/eBay works well for the road noise. What you have done will stop the metal ring sounds. I added the foam to my 65 ford after mat deadner. Huge difference. More so than the type like you laid down in this video. Just a suggestion. Did a good job!

It worked great in my 1960 F100! Didn't have any issues!

I don't think tapeing the seam makes any different.

It absolutely doesn't hurt, I just wanted to seal up any of the seams where I had some larger gaps and it looks better!

Helps with cleaning too. If the carpet ever comes up dirt won’t get lodged and stuck in the seams.

Will definitely help a little bit. Mostly for the heat. But sense sound travels in waves.. full isolation is best.

Hi, great job. Could you repeat the name of the materials, and where to get it.

Yes sorry! Peel and Press, it's near the roofing section in Lowes and Home Depot should have it also in about the same area! Thanks for watching!
