Thank you for the play-through, it really helps! I want to ask about a rule clarification, maybe this is not the best place to do so, but I will go ahead anyway :) -At --30:53-- you close the marketplace and the "When closing" sections reads: "...summon and acquire....". Doesn't that mean that you automatically acquire the boon? Shouldn't it read "...summon and encounter..." if a roll was necessary?- It is specified at the "Summoning and adding cards" of the rulebook and a check *is* required. As a side note, I only had a test play, I liked it a lot and now I am trying to figure out all the nuances of the rules.
+Mirrodin82 The Pathfinder Adventure Card Game is a really fun system and Wrath of the Righteous is the best one yet. These videos only cover the beginner adventure of each set. There is a full campaign to still explore for yourself. Thanks for watching and please share with your friends!
Yes, that is what I did, I was just highlighting the new cards they gained. I think most people didn't care too much about what the specific changes were because they would just see them in the next episode. However, thank you for pointing it out! I'm glad there are a dozen people that watch my videos!
They were chosen by the viewers! Adowyn was the top choice with balazar and Shardra close behind. Shardra is a bit scary to play because she doesn't have much offensive capability. Balazar is strong but if Padrig ever gets killed, he will be very hard to play. It's a little hard to play three characters. But it does make the game a bit easier. Thanks for watching!
+Zero Budget Geek The first thing you should do every game is to display Padrig. He can be displayed at any moment during the game, so at the start of the first players turn, before any exploring, he should be displayed. As soon he's displayed he's pretty safe, not many banes kills displayed cards.
+Eirik Uthus Yeah, you're right. I probably will do that. I've been refraining from playing cards out of turn to not confuse the viewer (and myself while filming). Also I hate how vague the rules are about it.
It's interesting that Adowyn's ability to find her cohort in her deck or discard pile doesn't say you have to shuffle the deck afterwards. Instinctively you obviously do it, but is it really necessary?
These play throughs have been great. I'm going see if I can convince my wife to let me buy this game. That said there have been a number of times I caught you saying you have a 50-50 chance or 50% chance when you need a 3 while rolling a d6. That's incorrect. Success is on 3-4-5-6 or 4 faces of 6. That's a 2 in 3 chance or approximately 67% chance.
yeah i'm bad with the maths! Honestly, this is an excellent game for couples. You can play a single character each or even play two characters each to experience more of the game.
I hope this answers your question, here is a playlist of all the games where I played the physical version of PACG: th-cam.com/play/PLbrtwwNOXbLnqZ3hGq3gfCfy9pewYN6M6.html&si=DgALjYLRTPUL8mhN
Thanks for doing this. I enjoy these videos. I'm assuming you shuffled 3 cards into Balazar's deck off-camera after Shardra healed him... because it was odd not to see you do it. Bad news about Balazar: when he defeats a summoned monster, he can't take it into his hand. The rulebook says "After evading a summoned card or resolving the encounter with it, never put it anywhere other than back in the box unless the card that caused you to summon it instructs you otherwise." The rulebook's Golden Rule says "When the rulebook uses the word “never,” no card can overrule it." So Balazar can't seize summoned cards. This is apparent in Balazar's tyrannomancer role power which allows him to draw a monster from the box when he defeats a summoned monster. I'm looking forward to the Elven Entanglement. Remember that defeating a Tangled Trap henchman doesn't let you close the location.
+elcoderdude Yes I shuffled the cards in off camera. Good catch about the summoned monster! I'll keep it in mind going forward. I think for the Elven Entanglement, I'll use the optional rule that allows you to attempt to close a location when you defeat one. I don't want the video to be 2 hours long otherwise!
+Zero Budget Geek I can understand that. (I'm bummed, though, because I wanted to see someone succeed on Hard Mode.) Please make it clear that you are using the optional rule, because there's a lot of confusion about this.
+elcoderdude Dang it, why did you have to say that! Now i think I need to do it on hard mode, gotta give the people what they want! lol I'll need to think about it.
Usually, you must defeat the henchmen or clear all cards from the location. Then, depending on the location, you can perform an action to permanently close the location. Alternatively, when another character encounters the Villain, characters in other locations can temporarily close them by performing the action listed in the location.
Great video! Thank you.

I said that because of my comment to previous video: Ron Armstrong 2 weeks ago
Balazar, Adowyn & Shardra...really want to see the cohorts in play!
+Ron Armstrong Ah yes, your votes counted!
Very enjoyable. Thanks.
Subbed.
+cycladianpirate Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment, I appreciate your support!
Man I hate that only rotr and s&s was translated in french and that it's discontinued... PACG is awesome!
Thanks for your videos !
After the game you must remove cards of each type to match the max allowed for that character

I can't remember, but I believe there is errata somewhere that states decks should be shuffled unless otherwise specified. I could be wrong.

Is there some kind of introductory video I have missed?

need the core set?
What do you mean?
How are the locations retired?
