The Chattahoochee River separates Alabama and Georgia (just halfway thru though - the river totally separates southern portion between the two states but the northern part of the river bears off to the northeast in GA. Grew up in the southern area, fishing, swimming & skiing. We loved the song too.
The Alan Jackson Rabbitt Hole is deeper than the Atlantic Ocean😂 He has songs like:👉'Gone Country' 'Livin' On Love' Here In The Real World, 'Don' t Rock The Jukebox' Where I Come From' Midnight In Montgomery' 'There Goes',and duets with The King...aka George Strait 🎶
I was at very expensive restaurant, with executives from another company in Columbus GA and were talking about our products. It was going down the tubes fast. The river below was still as glass. I asked the waiter what was the name of it, he said the Chattahoochee. I said way too loud, the Alan Jackson song? The CEO we were talking to jumped in "one in the same". We sang the song, poorly, but ended up laughing about it. The entire conversation changed 180 degrees. I loved this song before the dinner, and really loved it afterwards.
I remember when this came out, I wasn't a big country music fan I was more into ROCK but it was a fun song and it made me a fan of Alan's. We all thought the name of the Chattahoochee was so funny and you couldn't help but sing it and smile. It was a great song with a crowd of friends having a good time.
I have been lucky enough to work a security detail at one of his concerts here in Fla, and I will tell you he does put on one hell of a concert. He is a great showman.
I did Army Basic, AIT, Jump School and the first part of Ranger School at Ft. Benning, GA. When we did our 5 qualifying jumps, we were warned about potential water landings in the Chattahoochee River. There's also an Airborne poem called "Curse of Fox Platoon" that had supposedly been written in the 50s or 60s, from the perspective of an Airborne paratrooper, who had awakened to find that some drunk, stumbling through his platoon bay, had scuffed his newly spit shined jump boots that he was supposed to wear to formation in the morning. He cursed him several ways but, the one that left a lasting impression on me was, "may you do a water landing on your last Jump School jump into the Chattahoochee River in the middle of alligator and water moccasin mating season".
This is the very first song I can ever remember hearing from him and what made him my first favorite artist when I was about 4 years old in the mid 90's. I used to spend all day in a rural empty car shop with my dad, and it was insanely boring. This song and George Strait's "Carrying Your Love With Me" playing on the shop radio was the highlight of my day. That's also where dad taught me how to play Dots and Boxes by myself. Though I didn't even know the name until Googling it just now. That didn't really help with my boredom at all though. Lol
My favorite songs by the icon Alan Jackson are Remember When, Livin’ on Love, Where Were You, Small Town Southern Man, I’ll Try, Here in the Real World, Drive, She’s Got the Rhythm, The Older I Get, So You Don't Have to Love Me Anymore, Monday Morning Church, and I Can't Do That Anymore (recorded by Faith Hill).
Country music wasn't popular in the 90's here in Québec Canada.. But my friends doesn't understand why this song was my favourite for a decade 😅 Since, my fellows listen to country music 🤠 tx for the react 🖐️
Alan has a song that came out a couple years ago called racing the dark and it was written by his daughter after her husband died. It's a beautiful song. I thought I'd let you know in case you wanted to react to it.
I grew up with teenage parents and with water skis hanging on the walls of the garage 😆 the first album I remember buying through the Columbia Record Club as a kid (because my mom would let me pick sometimes) was Alan Jackson's Don't Rock The Jukebox
Alan dated one of the girls in my neighborhood back in 80-81. Used to see him working at the marina at the lake. There was 3 big stars to come from Georgia in the mid 80’s. Him, Travis Tritt and Doug Stone. And can’t forget the ladies, Trisha Yearwood(Mrs Garth Brooks) also came outa GA around that time.
If you like Alan Jackson's story telling songs, i have two recomendations. 1st, on the slower side, he has a song called "Midnight In Montgomery". That's a slow paced, bu very poetic story telling song. That song is actually about Hank Williams Sr. 2nd, his 2009 song titled "1976" is faster paced, but is also a story telling song about his teenaged and young adulthood
In case you were wondering! "From its source in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Chattahoochee River flows southwesterly to Atlanta and through its suburbs. It eventually turns due-south to form the southern half of the Georgia/Alabama state line." Now, c'mon. You GOTTA do "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere"! You even get a little cameo from Jimmy Buffet! :)
Chattahoochee, achy breaky heart and copperhead road were the 3 big popular country songs that got the non country fans to like country music in that era 😄
You know you y o, u, you know that it feels it feels right R. I. G. HT country music? That's what's making it making you feel right. Feel like you standing up right on the ground at around country music
The Chattahoochee Is The River That Divides The State Of Georgia & The State Of Alabama, I`ve Been On That River Many Times. We Are From The Great State Of Georgia!!
I would recommend you doing a reaction to Alan's song and video of Tonight I Climbed the Walls. I believe that is the only video Alan ever came out with where he didn't have a moustache. Great song too.
Wal k walk softly So FTL y that's a song. It's a wonderful song HD you're p****I'm still saying this song can really saying their names a little a lot of bit. But there are smoothies conthere's they got a great video for the song. Walks up like Kentucky head hunters Kentucky. I know kentucky head hunters walk softly it's a smoothie the pity I was wonderful
My buddy, my buddy. Honey was Kentucky Chucky Kentucky chocolit's jocker. Yeah, you're a Kentucky. You're wonderful about everything happened. Kentucky's pretty good. I got some good skunk but or some good chance
Did you guys know Alan Jackson revealed he had been living with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease for “years” in a Sept. 2021 interview with TODAY‘s Jenna Bush Hager. “There’s no cure for it, but it’s been affecting me for years,” he noted. “And it’s getting more and more obvious. And I know I’m stumbling around on stage. And now I’m having a little trouble balancing, even in front of the microphone, and so I just feel very uncomfortable.” He also revealed the disease was passed on to him from his father.
A few more party vibe videos from country artists include "One Margarita" by Luke Bryan, "Boys Round Here" by Blake Shelton and "Hell Right" also Blake. And for an island/party vibe check out Kenny Chesney "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem". Plus Kenny has a couple of beautiful, mellow island vibe songs you might enjoy, "Old Blue Chair" and "Wild Child", which is more of a free spirit creation than island I suppose. Finally a video, which has nothing to do with parties or islands, from rising talent in the genre is Jimmie Allen "Down Home", a wonderful tribute to his late father. Congrats on your channel growth! I'm a new sub.
I would like to see a reaction to "Like Red on a Rose" by Alan Jackson. It's different sounding than most of his stuff, and I think it's under-appreciated. I haven't seen a single reaction to it yet. I LOVE that song. "Drive", "Small Town Southern Man", "Monday Morning Church", and "Little Man" are a few others that are great too.
Alan Jackson has many great songs. I'll suggest "Tall Tall Trees" this was a song written by Roger Miller. Given the reaction to the dog in the video, I'd like to suggest some dog songs: "Ol' Red" by Blake Shelton "Feed Jake" by Pirates of The Mississippi "It's Just a Dog" by Mo Pitney. My apologies if you've already reacted to some of these and I missed it. Have a great day.
One artist I would love to see you guys dive into is Eric Church!! He is rocking kinda country and a great song writer. Would love to see you guys react to Springsteen, Mr. MIsunderstood, record year, smoke a little smoke really any of them!
Alan J is a country twang magician....great song......Now you have to follow this up with recent funny Southern deep fried song by The Snake Oil Willie Band called "I Don't Look Good Naked Anymore" it's a hoot.
If y'all are kind of hip hop and country check out Demun Jones. He has some great songs. Backyard Lullaby, dam, my people, just to name a few. Country rap is growing in popularity. Love y'all peace.
I think that I've heard that this was a song that the band just sang together when fooling around. I guess someone thought it'd be a good song. Call me crazy, but I think that that was a good call.
Alan Jackson is one of my very favorite country artists!
Alan Jackson has songs to make you laugh, cry, make you remember and give you something to think about.
Alan Jackson is a true country legend, with decades of hits! Any song you choose, you'll love! 🤠
So far so good!
@BARS & BARBELLS absolutely! I might recommend "I don't even know her name". Which is hysterical. You'll love it. 😄
You dang right!
I love and have them all.
The Chattahoochee River separates Alabama and Georgia (just halfway thru though - the river totally separates southern portion between the two states but the northern part of the river bears off to the northeast in GA. Grew up in the southern area, fishing, swimming & skiing. We loved the song too.

Yea! Country! This is a favorite for so many because this was our Youth.
I like “Drive”. A tribute to his Dad but, he didn’t want to write a sad song.
DRIVE (for Daddy Gene) is a great one!!!
As an Alabama boy raised on the Chattahoochee, I love this song by Alan. glad you guys liked it. Great reaction.
Thanks! It's great 💯

"It's Five O'Clock Somewhere", 'Don't Rock the Jukebox" and "Riding that Neon Rainbow" are my AJ favorites.
I remember when this came out, I wasn't a big country music fan I was more into ROCK but it was a fun song and it made me a fan of Alan's. We all thought the name of the Chattahoochee was so funny and you couldn't help but sing it and smile. It was a great song with a crowd of friends having a good time.

I live on the Alabama side of the Chattahoochee River. Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. Love this song.
I think that Alan Jackson has written over 30 hit songs for himself and others.
I absolutely love this song and video
It's awesome! Great vibes!

Alan Jackson’s catalog is amazing! “Good Times”, “5 O’clock Somewhere”, are a just a couple of his upbeat fun songs. So many to choose from!
Great song to dance to!!

You guys are great. And I love the fact you want to learn more music. Favorite channel out right now 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Neon Rainbow is another good Alan Jackson song!

Another good song is here in the real world
I grew up with teenage parents and with water skis hanging on the walls of the garage 😆 the first album I remember buying through the Columbia Record Club as a kid (because my mom would let me pick sometimes) was Alan Jackson's Don't Rock The Jukebox
I grew up on the Chattahoochee, and it DOES get hotter than a hoochecoochie, lol! I have nothing to add. Y'all have said it all! ❤

Chattahoochee is a river in the south somewhere. Not 100% sure but I think it's in Georgia.
Just pure fun, nice reaction

Alan Jackson - Chattahoochee was released in 1992
In case you were wondering!
"From its source in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Chattahoochee River flows southwesterly to Atlanta and through its suburbs. It eventually turns due-south to form the southern half of the Georgia/Alabama state line."
Now, c'mon.
You GOTTA do "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere"!
You even get a little cameo from Jimmy Buffet! :)
The Chattahoochee goes through Atlanta and then through Coweta County SW of Atlanta where Jackson is from.
Check out more Alan Jackson. He grew up not far from me and cowboy hats aren't worn that much in Georgia. Lol. Loved the reaction.
In Northern Philippines this song is so popular!
I can't swim and have a fear of deep, dark water. I'm not going in unless there's a Mermaid in there.
That was A lot of Fun!!
Alan Jackson’s “Good Time” song is fun but you have to watch the video! So much fun!
Where I Come From and Good Time are a couple more great songs by Alan too:)
“GOOD TIMES!!” The video with the longest line dancing!!!
I think they labeled Alan as "neo-traditional" country. Whatever you call it, it's good stuff.
Agreed!
Chattahoochee, achy breaky heart and copperhead road were the 3 big popular country songs that got the non country fans to like country music in that era 😄
When country was actually country 🤠 you should check out Clint Black start with his song " Killin Time ✌️

A good story song from Allen Jackson is - "Drive".

I recommend Carlene Carter - Every Little Thing, great song!
Yeah, its just a fun feel-good song about youth.
Try "Small Town Southern Man," "Drive," or "Here in the Real World." All fantastic songs.
It is a fun, southern coming of age song
Great linedancing song

The girl in the bathing suit looks to be around 15yrs old, so I think it was appropriate.
