Alan Jackson is a great American singer & songwriter who blended traditional honky-tonk & mainstream country pop sounds. He has so many hits such as "Here In The Real World", "Wanted", "Chasin' That Neon Rainbow", "I'd Love You All Over Again", "Don't Rock the Jukebox" "Someday", "Dallas", "Love's Got A Hold on You", "Midnight in Montgomery", "She's Got The Rhythm (And I Got the Blues)", "Tonight I Climbed The Wall", "Mercury Blues", "(Who Says) You Can't Have It All", "Little Bitty", "There Goes", "Who's Cheatin' Who", "I'll Go On Loving You" etc

Every single time I hear this song, it reminds me of my 3rd child, my 2nd daughter, who was around 18 months old the 1st time she heard it and instantly loved it. I can see her, in the back seat, sitting in her car seat, bobbing back and forth dancing to it and singing along with most of the lyrics, right down to the end with “that’s right”! Because she still had the “baby talk”, not being able to say all words correctly, made listening to her even more precious to me. My little girl is now almost 31 years old & has 3 babies of her own. But I’ll always remember that little girl dancing & singing along with “Chat-Hooshee” as she pronounced it.

Great song!! I actually live just a few miles from the Chattahoochee (or the Hooch, as we call it) here in Georgia, USA. But I didn't grow up here. I grew up in the northeastern US on a river very much like the Hooch. I was a teen in the 90's when this song was BIG. We used to party and camp on the river almost every night in the summer, and this song was always played at least once, if not more. We used to change the words to our river's name as it was also a long Native American name with the same number of syllables. So it fit perfectly.
The US is so full of rivers, lakes, and long ocean coastlines. So many of us grew up "on the water" as we say, spending summers/weekends/holidays enjoying our favorite warm weather activities. So many of us over here have a spot like this where we grew up playing as a child, then raised heck at in our teens and young adulthood, and then finally had our own kids & families that we now bring there. It's a tradition for many of us. This song is about having fun, being carefree, and just a little bit rebellious...and the things you learn from those experiences growing up. So everybody (from all generations) can relate to this song in that way, even decades later...and even if they didn't grow up on the Hooch or any other waterway. Wherever their "spot" is, this song will likely remind them of it and all the good times they had there!
New to the channel, and loving it already! I've subscribed and can't wait to watch all your videos old and new!

Thanks Craig! Love Alan Jackson! I love about a mile from The Chattahoochee River here in South Georgia! Beautiful, great people, great fishing and skiing! Love it here! Once again I'm sending love from South Georgia USA ♥️😀🍟
