I’m glad you brought up the fact that you should hook up the battery to the charge controller before you hook up the solar panels, some may not realize or may miss this this , for those that that plan on using a home built solar system for a shtf situation the last thing you want is to burn your equipment
Whenever I decide to do an emergency solar setup, I’m coming back to your videos. Those portable power stations are so convenient that I’ve never seriously looked into using a battery, charge controller, cables, inverter, etc.
That's a Nice charge controller I plan to purchase one for a second system. The one I have now is the Vevor 50 amp MPPT controller with built in Bluetooth for the phone or PC. Amazing technology we have today that everyone needs to invest in a Emergency Backup System for Off grid use.
Thanks for showing us the controller. I received this MPPT charge controller today. It came complimentary with my purchase of a couple of 24v 200ah batteries with a 200a bms. The batteries are on there way to me now and this controller was out on my driveway today. I had no idea that i was getting this as part of my purchase until i received it, sent them an email letting them know they had made a mistake and shipped me some extra stuff then i went on their website and saw the promotion. It seems like a decent product and it was great to see you put it to a little testing. It's good to see that it will immediately begin charging up the full batteries when under load and the Bluetooth app looks intuitive and not clunky or cheap. If you've got any more you can say about it, I'd love to hear it. Thanks again.
Nice job on the video. Ive had this charge controller since April. The app you have is different than the one that i have downloaded. Its an orange color. I do like this controller myself. Ive ran it with AGM and now its connected to lithium. Programing is simple. I have been happy with it so far. But as with all components only time will tell. As for the app i use is easy to understand and operate. Does graph out individually between my panels, battery, ect.
New Subscriber here. I just recieved the same model. :) I seem to only get a 3/4 to 1 full turn on the controllers "wire clamp" without experincing alot of resistance. I just don't want to force it. You seem to have plenty of throw (turns) available. I over think this stuff plus I have never used ferrules. Scratching my brain bucket with this :)
Make sure you loosen the screws ALL the way out and then insert the cables. I thought I loosened them up enough the first time, but I didn’t. Maybe this is the issue?
Helios is the oem manufacturer allegedly these have low temp cutoff for lifepo4 you can see it in Hobotech reviews of the HSQ charger (Helios oem) can you see if it has low temp cutoff?
Looking through the manual, it states the temp sensor is only used for NON lifepo4 battery temp. Does not state this can act as a low temp cutoff though.
Do you recommend a 32A CHTAIXI mini circuit breaker between the Solar panels and MPPT controller? OR is that not necessary? I am learning and thought I'd ask the group :) Thank you
I bought the POWERQUEEN 200Ah Plus and it failed on the first day. Their company still hasn't refunded my money or sent a replacement. #powerqueen #powerqueenus #solar #battery #lifepo4 #greenenergy #offgrid #vanlife #rv #camper #fishing #survival #tech #windturbines

Lol. I’m about to build a DIY battery box too. Super simple. But I’m doing DC only on the build

👍🏻👍🏻
My Power Queen mppt arrived today and this review was perfect for a beginner like me.
😊 Thanks
Glad it helped👍🏻

Do you recall the name of the app you are using?
It's called..... SolarApp. It's an orange color with a home drawing in the center.
👍👌❤️🇨🇦, I am need of a 60 amp Power Queen mppt, but I think they only have a 30 amp, gr8 video, very informative
Thanks👍🏻
Nice! What multimeter is that?
It’s the early generation of the Renogy charger
Yup👍🏻
Nice, it looks a lot like the Rich Solar or Renogy controllers.
👍🏻👍🏻 probably all made by the same folks

@@GearGadgetReviews I literally was turning the screwdriver the wrong direction 🙄 All good now
i have a battery and solar panel. i might get this. then all ill need is an inverter if i want ac/dc?
Yea. If you want to convert the battery dc into ac power all you will need is an inverter tied into the battery

@@GearGadgetReviews interesting if you watch the HSQ video he shows how to set it but perhaps they used different firmware
👍👍

I would recommend a breaker between your panels and the charge controller, I just didn’t do that on this little test
Same thing as Li Time controller.
Yup
Saw you video.
Ordered POWER Queen mppt and getting error code not in book
Does temp sensor and Bluetooth remote required to work??
No, temp sensor or Bluetooth are not required. Just features if you want them
