What if u put in on ur outside faucet and its like 40° but later on its gonna be below 37° ... At 40° will it just spit out water until its cold enough to activate itself?

With these Chinese heaters it is pointless to go for a specific brand....Basically they're all the same, with some little differences in controllers, there are about 5 diff. sets, the heaters are all generic.

That's ridiculous. If you are in a cold climate, your water bill is going to be crazy if you let it drip for 4 months.

I purchased mine off of Amazon and it did not come with two cords so I’m really pissed off that only if you order on the website, you get two cords and they charge you the same friggin price And I noticed a $20 coupon code so I’m going to return it and order another one and get my $20 off since I’m not getting two cords/ connectors

Our houses are built with Eagle Mountain type of anti freeze hose bib. The actual shut off point is inside the wall where it doesn’t freeze. After the shut off, remaining water in the section of the valve pipe will drain out. The valve stem can be 6, 9, 12 inches long to go deeper into the house side. The bevel washer (size 0.0) at the end of the stem lasts about 20 years.

I entirely agree with what you said. The piecemeal system makes it much more expensive in the long run that it seems at first buy. The $379 prices lures you and then you realize that you have to buy the dongles to simply use solar charging. So ridiculous.

I use about 25% usage in 9 hrs on my delta 2 ans Gercell with two different diesel heaters. I did order a delta 3 too.

Is the actual outer casing on that heater inside the case made out of aluminum and not plastic? Does not look like this brand is available anymore.

Damn, I relaly hoped the app would allow a discharge cutoff limit like ecoflow. I can't find another brand with that so far.

Waste of money. My pipes in SE TX have survived multiple hard freezes including the snowmageddon of 2021 with just a couple alternating layers of old rags and walmart bags.

Do you still need to drip an inside faucet with this connected outside?

I can't get mine to work with a 12v car battery.

One thing is obvious from the comments here - most of you don’t realize that there are different types of faucets and different methods of home building. Up north, you build for long periods of below freezing temperatures. Down south, we don’t have that same level of protection.

I agree, would like to see a phone charger on top, surprised at v3+ it’s not there. To be nearly perfect it should also include a high amp DC connection like a 20 amp xt60. Many diesel heater mfg recommend a 15 amp connection at startup. Not having this makes me hesitate but overall nice power station.

Used suction cups to mount to inside of my glass roof. The application works perfectly, great reception as I travel down the highway in mountain and rural areas. Not visible to theft, from looking inside my vehicle thru lightly tinted windows. Rock on from Michigan!

My mount was 30 bucks and it holds at highway speeds no problem

To those folks saying to just shut off the water to the outside spigots, here were I live in NW Florida there are no inside shutoff valves for the outside faucets - the only option would be to shut off the water to the entire house and the valve for that is out by the street. Odd, I know, but it's how they do it down here. Our coldest temps in the six years we've been here (we moved down from Minnesota, so I know about winterizing pipes in cold weather) have been the mid to upper 20's, so the foam insulating covers I use seem to be good enough (they haven't let me down yet), but every cold snap makes me worry a bit. On a completely different note, I saw in your weather app that you're in North Richland Hills, which jumped out at me since I lived in that area as a kid on North Hills Drive and attended Birdville Elementary school and Haltom Jr. High for a few years (that was a really long time ago now). Small world!!!

I received my li time batteries on Amazon which ad indicated they were group 31 and ad picture shows battery with stencil on its side stating Trolling Motor. Mine have no stencil indicating trolling motor nor does it state anywhere it’s a group 31 on it. How do I verify what I ordered is what I got?

Maybe they could make a connector that goes on the back that gives you USB DC and some sort of charge input. I think Solar would probably require a charge controller which might make it a bulky box. But some method to use the standalone battery on its own would be convenient.

I wish we'd stop at all these stupid connectors like the barrel jacks, xd60 and the MC4s although I know those are water tight. The Andersons makes so much more sense there's no direction they're high current.

We're just coming out of an ice storm and during that, we lost power twice. I had a couple of the Victorian style oil lamps at the house but never really used them. I changed the wicks and put some fresh fuel in them and you're right, the light was soothing. When we got power restored, I got online and ordered a hurricane style because it is much easier to carry around to various rooms in power outages.

Do you know what batteries fit? Would two 8ah fit? Or an 8ah and 5ah? Two Flexvolt 6ah? Thanks

It's interesting to put them in the freezer overnight first. Then, install and turn the water on. Water pours out, and then, as the unit warms up, it gently shuts off. Good device. We have 7.

These work great! The intended application is for people who need to provide water for their animals during winter - not so much urban/suburban residential usage. As mentioned in a lot of these comments, you will have an ice rink because it will not stop trickling as long as it is below 37F. On the website, there is a video showing these being used on a farm in Canada through a 100’ hose, and providing water to their horses during winter. I use them to water my outside cats through a 100’ hose in rural Missouri. Often it will get below zero here, but a few years ago we saw -17F, and we had no frozen pipes, and the cats had a water source all winter. I love these things!
